Elven Ranger

From CotH-Wiki

The Elven Ranger belongs to a special cadre of elven archers who are intimately bound to the wildlands. Their pursuit of mastery in Longbow, Marksmanship, and Scouting make them more rugged and even deadlier than their brothers —- traits for which they are greatly feared amongst their enemies. Although their numbers are few, their presence could change the course of the war if they are deployed wisely.

Information on Elven Rangers

Shhh... thero'shan. Be silent, be swift, and pay attention. Ash Karath.

An Elven Ranger is most at home in the forests. Masters of traversing the woodlands, they have learned to use this terrain to their tactical advantage, driving back even the most skilled foes. Extended time in the forests have led Rangers to use the natural resources to cure ailments such as poisons and diseases. A ranger is controlled, precise, and does not share the wilder habits of the horde Wilderness stalkers. They do, however, maintain a similarly close relationship with the plants and animals of the forest lands.

Elven Rangers prefer bows as their weapon of choice. After centuries of practice in perfecting their skills, the elves have a historical tradition of expert bowmen. A Ranger takes the average skills of an archer and pushes them to the limit. The combined skills of an archer, the knowledge of the terrain, and the improved sensory skills gained from the solitary wilderness training, provide the Ranger with exceptional combat and detection skills.
