Demon Hunter

Who Are They?

Demon Hunters are the keepers of Azeroth's safety from the Legion. They are what their name entails, demon hunters. Through great sacrifice and self-exile, Demon Hunters walk a path that their land has forbidden to keep the safety of the world in their hands. Taking the ideal of fire versus fire to combat the Legion, Demon Hunters are bound by spirit and blood to deter another assault from the Burning Legion by any means necessary. Hypocritical in design, stalwart in thinking, Demon Hunters are the epitome of a dangerous being. Feared by many in their home land, often banned from the cities, a demon hunter swears his or herself into complete solitude to focus on their change in life. When they are set free, the Demon Hunter becomes an agent of themselves, with a burning passion to destroy the Legion that flares hotter than those who exile them for what they've become. Some root out the followers of the Legion in society to prevent what had happened in the past, others simply go on a rage blinded killing spree through Outland for the rest of their days. Secretive in nature, the Demon Hunter keeps their trade and life to themselves. Some ally with others, but many do not keep that alliance forever, others simply weigh down the demon hunter, they prevent them from doing their job. Demon Hunters simply do not care about combating things other than Demons. They often refuse to help anyone else who's fighting off any sort of enemy that isn't a demon, their honor and oath would be misuse of power for them. Overall, the Demon Hunter is a dangerous and mysterious being that holds in grand honor the safety of the world, and with great vengeance and furious anger they slay those that would attempt to poison or destroy the world of Azeroth.

Who Likes Them?

Only those with like minded thinking would enjoy the company of the Demon Hunter. The Hunter himself does not enjoy the company of others.

This is also to note that since Demon Hunters can see Fel users, consorting and or being friendly with a warlock would be so very highly unlikely that it would constitute just playing the class flat wrong. Demon Hunters swear their very lives to killing the Legion and its followers, and after walking down the path, would turn their blade onto their mother if she was a Fel user.

Requirements

This class is available to Night Elves and Blood Elves only. Mage and Warlock classes are not allowed to ascend.

Note that Blood Elves are extremely rare, few and far in between. A Night Elf dedicated to olden ways would not train one, however each case varies.

Women are allowed to become Demon Hunters.

Skills and Abilities

Note: These abilities are simply examples of what a demon Hunter may use. There is room for flexibility during the approval process.

• Immolate

The Demon Hunter is surrounded by a wreath of flames, damaging all targets within 5 yards.

• Mana Burn

The Demon Hunter channels Demonic energy within themselves which causes Spellcasters to take damage from their own mana reserves, burning them internally.

• Engulf Blade

The Demon Hunter channels their Immolate ability, which causes their weapon(s) to become engulfed in flames, causing fire damage to enemies.

• Drain Demon Soul

The Demon Hunter may channel the lifeblood of a Demon to heal themselves and restore energy/mana/rage.

• Tainted Fireball

The Demon Hunter may hurl a fireball at his/her target, inflicting lots of fire damage and some shadow damage.

Applying for a Demon Hunter

Much like Fel-Sworn and Dragonsworn, Demon Hunters need to follow a special approval system. First the profile should be posted under the Private Discussion board. From there you need to receive Two (2) approvals. Once you have the three approvals, you may post the profile to the Special Profile section of the forms. There the profile will be thoroughly checked before given the final approval.

Once approved, the Demon Hunter does get a few fun tools granted to them.

• A set of Demon Hunter Glaives.
• A Runic tattoo pattern of your color choice.
