Information

Player: Jaella

Character Full Name: Thordin Thunderfist

Character In-Game Name: Thordin

Nickname(s):

Association(s): Explorer's League

Race: Dwarf

Class: Bone Crusher / Runemaster

Skills and Abilities:

Brawny as stone: Through long and arduous training and combat, Thordin's physique dramatically increased as well. Towering well over most of his kin in both size and muscle density. His skin hardened along as well, boosting his base Runic Resilience so he is able to take on more physical punishment before his body shows any damage. He also gained strength that can only be matched by few, boosted by his Enruned Fists he is capable of tearing down a lot of things and dent the strongest metals.

Permanent runes in the form of tattoo's across his body.

Enruned Fists : An unlimited duration buff, always active unless otherwise removed. Runemasters do as much damage with their fists and feet as if they were wielding weapons. (To enhance his natural strength and to make up for the lack of weapons.)

Runic Resilience : The Runemaster's skin hardens like stone, providing them with the protection equivalent to mail armor. Like Enruned Fists, this is a constant effect unless turned off. (This is the lack of armour.)

Stone Grip : Masters of unarmed combat, few can match a Runemaster in a grapple. The Runemaster pins his opponent down, forcing the enemy to target him and preventing his movement. (To keep his enemies near for the brawling.)

The 'castable' runes he knows for utility uses.

Mark of Awareness : Amplifying his senses, the Runemaster temporarily gains increased stealth detection and the ability to detect invisible creatures. (Allows him to scout surroundings whenever that's required and no one else is up for the job)

Mark of the Megalith : While active, the Runemaster's defences increase further as his skin turns to stone, to the equivalent of plate armor. (For the tough fights, think of boss NPC's. I.E ; Giant golem that needs to be defeated to further the event. Will not use in PC fights if request is denied.)

Appearance

Age: 172

Sex: Male

Hair: Bald, he has an autumn coloured beard that's neatly taken care of, despite bits of meals being stuck in it for later snacks.

Thordin Thunderfist, proud member of the Thunderfist clan.
Thordin Thunderfist before the wars.

Eyes: Sapphire-blue eyes.

Weight: 5'4"

Height: 217 kg.

Usual Garments/Armour:

He wears light leather that does not limit his movements in any way, always wearing his sturdy gloves that protect his hands and wrists from the hearth of the forge when he's busy at the forge. His hatred for shirts is proudly shown for the lack of never wearing one. The other thing he never goes without is a small pendant on a Titan Steel chain that looks like a rock fist, probably to honour his ancestors before the curse of the flesh or to symbolize his favourite use of arms. He rarely parts with his orange lensed eye-goggle as it helps him in viewing things from afar or inspecting his work, fine-tuning cut gems to adorn his weaponry or look in a different direction when his regular eye is looking at something else.

Other:

He has Dwarfish runic writings and symbols on his body to be his runes for his powers, they are black when not used and light up orange with a red outlining when actively used. The other noticeable fact is that his body is scarred from small cuts to large gashes. Over his eyebrow from the eye that doesn't wear a goggle he has a vertical cut that completes his rugged appearance.

Personality

Alignment: Chaotic good, he always hit first if they anger him enough but he would never hit a helpless citizen. (Example: He will hit the adventurer but not the defenceless civilian.)

He's your everyday rowdy, impolite and easily angered Dwarf if you insult him with the wrong remarks. His love for alcoholic drinks has him always try all sorts of booze that sounds right for him in the ears, if the name doesn't suit him he refuses to try it. He also enjoys a good fight but never actively seeks it out as it always 'comes across his path'. In general he's a fine lad that isn't afraid to jump in a fray or offer a helping hand to those that require help.

History

He began his life with a very rough start as his biological parents as shortly he was born, his parents died from a cave in from a mine. They did survive the war of Three Hammers and to die in such conditions was outright disgraceful for the clan, both were given a proper burial and Thordin, the infant he was back then got adopted by his uncle and aunt who never had any luck in getting a child. They nurtured him like if he really was their own son and he quickly learned to combine two passions when he was starting to become of age, fighting and crafting. The only thing he never wanted to do is pick up weapons and armour to fight, he preferred the clothing he had and the fists to be used as maces and wrecking balls.

In the first war he was regularly seen in the field and at the camp's field-smithy repairing and maintaining armaments. It's also where he got most of his scars due to his sometimes idiotic but ingenious plans when going head-on with the enemy. This pattern repeated itself in an endless cycle almost that allowed him to train both of his passions while feasting in between. His adopted parents were and still are very proud of their Thordin with his accomplishments in those wars, which were too small to be noted in the Dwarfish history but great enough to make him a legend within his own clan.

When the wars and scuffles came to an end he began looking for a more adventurous lifestyle, promptly joining the Explorer's League in the hopes of fulfilling such dreams. Which were soon proven right as he travelled around with kin to collect artefacts or discover things for their kind? When he came across a lone Dwarven Runemaster somewhere far up in the Eastern Kingdoms ; under the Plaguelands as it was deemed dangerous to go further into those lands, who was similar like him but more guided and knowing what he really wants than himself. He promptly asked to be taught such ways in becoming more like the calm Dwarf than himself. After he passed a number of tests to see if he was worthy of the tutelage the Dwarf agreed in teaching him, but what Thordin didn't know is that he was being taught in the ways of augmenting his abilities with the help of Runes. After the Dwarf taught him all he knew in the timespan of a few years, he had to pass one last test to see if he was truly worthy of acquiring such knowledge. The test consisted of finding your inner peace, which he gained after days of meditation. The days followed he used the final pieces of the puzzle to augment his abilities with his own patterns that suited Thordin more, under the guidance of the Dwarf to correctly apply the right marks on his body.

Soon after he began to truly understand them he and his master parted ways as they could not stay together to have their own adventures as the League requested his return. When he returned home in Ironforge, his clan celebrated his return for three days as he never actually changed but his view on life changed for good. When he helped the League in the times of expeditions to Northrend he witnessed a great number of things, but he was like many that went to that land, a nameless adventurer traversing the frozen wastes. After Northrend he received a ceremonial promotion to Captain of his own group within the League to choose what they wanted to do. There was only one major problem; he had to look for his own men. He still searches for capable people up to this day to ensure he gets jobs done given out by the League.
