Tarana can be difficult to get along with at first. She has very strong opinions on many different subjects, and people who do not live up to her standards will be at best slightly frowned upon, or at worst completely ignored. People who do know her will find that she is not an unpleasant person to spend time around, and she is normally fairly caring about other people. She is very emotionally driven, and she is prone to fits of anger or sadness, often without much warning. A risk-taker by nature, Tarana often does not hesitate to accept and undertake challenges.

History

As Tarana was born well after the Sundering, she has not experienced many of the events that a lot of the older kaldorei have learned from. Her childhood was relatively uneventful, as compared to other night elves. Her mother was a priestess, and her father was druid that went back into the Emerald Dream before she was born. She had a twin brother, named Therinan. They were nigh inseparable throughout their childhood.

Tarana trained as a sentinel. Though her mother wished for her to follow in her footsteps as a priestess, she still supported her daughter in her desire to become an archer.

Tarana, Therinan and their parents were called to arms at the battle of Mount Hyjal. Tarana was rendered unconscious during the battle, and was left for dead, but a search party looking for survivors found her and she was declared alive.

A couple of years later, Therinan departed for the Eastern Kingdoms in search of new adventures. Tarana was torn, but she knew that Therinan needed to quench his thirst for new and interesting ground to cover. Despite her own desire to join him, she had duties to attend to as a sentinel that she felt she could not abandon, especially so soon after the Legion's invasion.

Before Therinan left, he gave Tarana a crescent-shaped pendant, and assured her that he would return someday. They kept in close contact, each sending letters as soon as they received them, and sometimes even before. Therinan reassured Tarana that he was doing well and had made new friends.

Tarana eventually received a message not in Therinan's hand, but rather from a dwarven friend of his, reporting that he and his party had been ambushed by a Forsaken patrol in Arathi, and that he had held them off in order to let the others escape. They had searched for his body, but they could not find anything, and he was assumed to be dead. Tarana was distraught.

She traveled to the northern Eastern Kingdoms and searched fervently for her brother's body, though her efforts were ultimately in vain. Despite finding no trace of Therinan, she returned to Kalimdor. She remained just long enough to attend a memorial for her dead brother before she departed again, unable to stand being in a place that bore so many memories for her.

Currently she wanders the world in search of respite and clarity of mind, and in an attempt to honor her brother's memory and ambitions.

Skills and Abilities

Tarana's skills do not remarkably differ from those of a typical sentinel or hunter.
