Personality

  • Alignment: Chaotic good.

Giggles is cheery and explosively enthusiastic, perhaps to a fault because every now and then she'll inappropriately react to a situation. She's also mushy and a bit of a romantic, and fawns over the cute and precious things if not accidentally blowing them up. At times she can be rather pushy and overbearing, mostly wanting to have things go her way. Even then if things don't she seems relatively fine with it.

She's a little careless at times and doesn't take a lot of safety precautions with her line of work. However, she doesn't try to actively put people in danger, especially her own family. They're considered the most important people in her life, and if there is one thing she will take seriously it's family matters.

History

Giggles' birth was a rather peculiar one, in that she was born to a set of quintuplets, having four other brothers. At that time the parents did not seem particularly creative, or perhaps they actually thought it clever to give them the naming scheme in which they were Gaggles, Geggles, Giggles, Goggles and Guggles. Either way it didn't seem that their parents meant to be cruel with the naming, as they loved their children as any parent would.

From a young age she got into tinkering with her parents guiding her. It became a family past time for the young gnome, and she was always fascinated with building little toy tanks and train sets from scratch. Actually some of her favorite toys were things she built herself, her most favorite being the classic mechanical squirrel.

It wasn't until she hit her teens that she decided to branch out her talents. While some of her siblings were busy building for the Alliance she spent much of her time delving into magic, hoping to find an alternate source of fuel for her inventions. She never found a way to mix up the magic and tinkering; a techno-mage was rather advanced and she'd have no hopes of becoming one as a teen. However, she still tried at it for quite awhile. However, her magical training would be the foundation for her life's passion.

Around the time she was an adult Gnomeregan was under attack by troggs. At that time she was at the local market, trying to get the right gears for her next invention, hoping this time it would work with the arcane energy. The tunneling troggs soon broke into the gnomish city, and before she knew it the streets were swept with chaos. Something came running towards her, and she was overwhelmed. With a strike to the head she was knocked to the ground unconscious.

Someone came to her rescue and dragged her to a shelter while she was still out of it. She would wake back up but everything was in a daze, all blurry and hard to see. Gnomes around were banding together to try and hold back the initial wave while plans were still being made. Among those fighting, she imagined, was her brothers.

She would try and struggle back to her feet, but the gnome medics close by kept her down. They started to move her and others outside of Gnomeregan. She could remember through the attacks around her being carried out on a stretcher, and falling unconscious before she could protest. By the time she managed to recover, she was in some infirmary. She didn't know if she was in Gnomeregan or not, but a person had confirmed that she was in Kharanos.

Giggles hadn't been the same since then. Perhaps it was the strike to the head, or perhaps it was the sights of the troggs and how she lost her homeland before her very eyes. She had fixated upon one aspect of this event: destruction. It was a dangerous concept, the idea that what the troggs did to her, perhaps she could do to her enemies. Could she wield a force to strike back with? Could she put down future dangers the same way they started? Perhaps, perhaps not.

Either way it lead to the desire for power. As soon a she was well again she managed to travel to Ironforge, hoping she could find her brothers in Tinker Town, if not find some news about them. It turned out that they had survived, but they didn't succeed with fighting back the Troggs. Geggles had also went to Dalaran, and she was left contemplating her new ideas of power. Taking up a residence in Tinker Town, she had started to expand her strengths in two areas: magic and tinkering.

The tinkering was rather simple. She started making bombs, dynamite, and other explosives, testing them in the remote parts of Dun Morogh. Alongside that she secretly worked at her magic, expanding on her abilities of fire. Incidentally this proved useful as being able to call up flames on command worked well in conjunction with a stick of dynamite. Either way it would extend beyond that, she also decided to practice with the shadow too. She would learn from the warlocks in the Forlorn Cavern, and kept this a secret from her family.

There wasn't much to suspect out of her either. She managed to maintain her usual demeanor of being cheerful, bright, happy and kind to her brothers. And despite the power she was working towards, she didn't want any evil to come from this. As the years passed the young gnome would improve her methods, and became rather content with her progress. Explosions became an art, one she so thoroughly enjoyed, and she was getting better at it.

To this day she's been keeping at her practice, and doing what she can to expand upon her two talents. She found a better success combining fire and dynamite than arcane and machinery, so in her mind she had come to the idea that this was the best way to bring together the talents of magic and tinkering. there is no guarantee what her future will be like, especially since she has stuck her hand in the flame.
