Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Exarion Faersong has been around the block a few times in his 1,277 years on Azeroth. Knowing how to read people and get what he wants, Exa has a silver tongue in his vast arsenal of weapons. A true charmer when needed to be, he can persuade most people to do his dirty work. Causing them to sway to his cause.

Cruel but fair, Exarion seldom lets an opportunity go when it presents its self. He treats those who follow him with respect unless other wise given a reason not to. He is always open to teach his art of magic or his art in a more real sense, painting. Over the years Exarion has mastered the craft of painting. He's taught one student his craft and Kirolan rivals his mentor's skill with a brush.

Cunning and intelligent, Exarion almost never does something out of the goodness of his heart. He always has a motive, or something to possibly gain from what he does.

Everything order he gives, every response he receives is an assessment or a test. If someone is ruled to be unworthy or no use to him anymore, he tosses them out. Exarion, even as an elf values his time to be priceless. With his long life span, he still does not wish it wasted.

History

Born to a wealthy family native to Silvermoon, Exarion began practicing magic at an early age. His father had inherited a lot of money from the family line, giving Exarion and his family comfortable living for all of his childhood.

Exarion began delving more and more into the arcane. He quickly discovered he had a talent for frost magic and pursued this path. As an adult he also took up painting. Spending hours upon hours in his home, he perfected his art after many years of creating paintings and sketches.

When the time came to choose a career he wanted to teach others the use of magic. Over the years Exarion advanced his own skill, while teachings others how to bend the arcane to their will and become proficient in it's use. Exarion always had an interest in one aspect of the arcane, necromancy. It was considered forbidden to practice such an art so he did not use it. This did not, however stop him from studying and reading all he could on the subject.

With a firm grasp of frost magic and necromancy, Exarion was a very capable user of magic. Eventually, Exarion grew tired of teaching and went to study magic and explore the world for quite sometime.

When Exarion returned it was time for his arranged marriage that his parents had set up long ago. Feeling a debt to his parents for the comfortable and happy childhood he accepted and did as they asked. The girl was the daughter of the Faersong's closest friends. The girl was absolutely smitten with Exarion. His interest in her was minor, playing the part of a polite and intelligent man.

Soon they were wed and Exarion became unhappy. His lust for the world and it's magical knowledge was forced to a halt. His wife didn't approve of his hours upon hours spent in his work. This caused for much strife between the two, Exa never really -in love- with his wife but loving her all the same. He grew to love her as a partner, but never as a lover.

Eventually, he felt the urge to start tutoring again. Exarion's wife accepted after much badgering. Teaching a few here and there, those he deemed worthy were taught. He took interest to one boy in particular: Kirolan Vilronei.

Fiery-haired like Exarion, this young man was full of vibrance. Kirolan struggled in the arcane, and Exarion made it his mission to help him along. Why was Faersong attracted to the boy? Not even he knew, call it fate or destiny but something about Kirolan drew him in. After months Kirolan still wasn't making much progress.

Kirolan begged Exarion to let him fight in the second war. The young elf wanted to accompany his friends. Seeing the other youthful men and women all marching off to war with pride and honor made him fee left out and weak. Exa told Kirolan he was not ready, but Kirolan persisted. Finally letting up, Exarion gave Kirolan his blessing to join the cause, hoping that maybe the boy would learn a thing or two. After returning from the war, he was welcomed home by his mentor with open arms.

One afternoon, when Kirolan came to see Exarion he caught the mage painting. His art was unmatched, the detail and style unique and original to Faersong. Kirolan was fascinated with the art work. Exa sat him down and began to teach him the basics. Unlike magic, Kirolan had a natural talent with the brush.

Kirolan sometimes seemed embarrassed he couldn't perform magic well, to which Exarion's reply was always this. "Sometimes, the pen is mightier then the sword. Or in your case, Kirolan my boy.. the brush." As the years went on; Exarion started to fall in love with his student despite being married. Kirolan quickly realized his own feelings and the two began an affair.

Exarion's wife had suspicions but dismissed them as jealousy for the time being. When the scourge attacked, Exarion quickly gathered Kirolan and his wife and lead them out of the city. With the Sunwell destroyed, Exarion suffered greatly from the withdrawal from magic. His mind began to warp and he showed signs of insanity. Becoming angry and breaking down crying for no reason. Kirolan cared for him during this time, seeing as the boy wasn't as dependent on the arcane as his mentor and now lover.

As Exarion's wife's suspicions grew, so did her questioning. She began to drill him with questions, demanding answers every time he went out. Suspecting another woman, she followed him one day to where he was tutoring Kirolan. She flung open the doors and walked in on them being intimate.

Frantic, she started screaming and yelling moving closer to Exarion. Her steps violent and filled with a purpose. Pointing at Kirolan with a hateful and jealous glare as she berated the two men. He tried talking her down. She stormed out, knocking over and ripping all the artwork in sight. On her way passing Kirolan, she drew a dagger from her robe and drove it right into the boy's spinal cord, killing him as it hit a few organs as well.

Exarion became enraged, summoning his mastery of frost to impale the woman's limbs with ice lances, her death slow and painful. Exarion closed his eyes as tears streamed down his cheeks from the loss of Kirolan. He quickly gathered both of the bodies and fled to the Ghostlands where he had a home. Using his knowledge of Necromancy and frost magic, he preserved the bodies for a prolonged period of time. Until the day came where he could muster the power to raise Kirolan as more then a mindless ghoul.

Exarion lacked the powers he needed to raise Kirolan to his liking. So he went in search of them. When he returned after finding nothing, the bodies were gone. The cases of ice removed. Exarion searched frantically for them, using all of his resources to try and locate the bodies. He gave up his search and focused on the path he could not stray away from now, necromancy.

Exarion now searches for other's to join his cause and to follow him. Looking to improve his power and attain his goal of becoming a Lich after death. Reunited with Kirolan, as a Death Knight has brought a sense of purpose and spark back to his life. He is always searching for helpless victims to capture in order to use their bodies for his spells. Or drain their life energy for his own.
