Appearance

When he's not guarding the streets of Silvermoon in his more 'official' armor, Tydian likes to stride about in a less imposing armor set. This set consists of red and black armor which is mostly dented up by years of use. Some rust is present over the armor and if up close one could see the areas which have been sanded down over the years and repainted to stop the rust from spreading. He tends to cover his face with a red mask to avoid getting dust into his mouth from the ever-present brooms in the city.

He tends not to wear casual clothing very often, and it's normally forced upon him by his sister. When he does wear casual clothing, it's normally a simple red and black robe found from his missing father's closet. During this time his hair is also let down and brushed out, which is quickly blamed on the sister. At other times he is known to go around in a simple shirt and pants, sometimes made of leather. He never leaves the city in casual gear, not that he really leaves it at all.

When on duty as a guard, Tydian wears a shinier set of armor, so much so that it seems to sparkle in the sunlight. He replaces his Blood Knight tabard with the Silvermoon tabard and his armor changes to match it. The armor is a brighter red and gold and has no visible dents in it as it is rather underused. Once more he wears a mask to prevent dust, pollen and bugs from finding their way into his open mouth, despite many people calling it too intimidating. His hair is in a neater pony-tail during his patrols due to a stricter dress code.

Other: On his chest, both his arms and his back are tattoos similar to that of joined wings, which he claims to represent the Phoenix that his people use as a symbol.

Personality

Alignment: Neutral Good

While he's not doing his job, Tydian tends to be one of those gentle-giant types. He treads carefully around others and does his best to please those around him. Around the men of his race he is normally respectful, speaking with them about manly things that manly guys do. Around the women of his race, he tends to be shy and speaks rather little unless spoken too first. He's careful not to make any sudden movements around anyone least he startle them, which often gives him silly comments from his more 'manly' friends. He's known to have a softer spot for animals, and has spoken of a rabbit he once nursed back to health and kept as a pet.

While he's all smiles with his personal life, on the job Tydian takes a rougher edge. His voice tends to be stricter. His softer steps become harsh and well-heard as he walks down the stone streets of Silvermoon. He tends to be a lot more formal and quite a bit more vocal when his job calls for it. Tydian keeps his work and his personal life very separate. One day he could be patting a fellow on the back and laughing, the next he could be yelling at the same person for failing to comply with a law. It doesn't bother him when people stay away from him due to his seemingly flip in personality, as far as he's concerned he is just doing his job.

Tydian has little contact with the outside world due to his life and job in Silvermoon. When not on the streets patrolling, he takes up odd-jobs to support himself and his sister though harsher times. His opinions on the other races of the Horde are simple: So long as they leave him and his people alone, he cares not what they do. He has a rather bias look to the Alliance and would avoid all interaction with them. Luckily for him, they don't venture inside of Sin'dorei lands.

History

Tydian was born during simple times. His line was that of nobility and he was raised and spoiled as the firstborn son, despite being second born, though he often asked for less than his younger brother. While times got tight every now and then, Tydian and his family never really suffered all that much. Much of his time as a child was spend running around with the other boys, wrestling in the mud and driving his baby-sitter nuts with his typical boy antics. As he grew, his nature was very reckless and brash, often times he'd cause someone to get hurt. This never really changed, though the other boys he was around would never mind and instead chose to tough it out. His doings were often shadowed by his older brother who was exiled from the family due to excessive drug use and violence. As a result, his family watched him closely to make sure he would not make similar mistakes. All in all, Tydian had a rather normal and very nice childhood.

As he neared his adulthood this recklessness and rough nature never changed, though there came the day Tydian was able to chose a path of which to follow, though his father insisted on training him as a family mage. He attempted to do so, learning the basic arts but soon rebelled against it, finding it not to his liking. The stories of corruption and addiction he had read were something he'd rather not experience for himself anytime soon. After butting heads with his Father many times and many interventions from his mother, he was finally able to pick a path that he wanted. His father would remind him how he was going to fall like his brother though. Tydian would shrug these claims off, as the boy knew he was nothing like his brother that failed.

At first he tried with a bow, only to mess up due to his larger fingers compared to those of other Farstriders. After a few accidents with a bow and someone's rear end he realized that a Farstrider wasn't the best of ideas for himself. He more often hit the person walking behind the target rather than the actual target. Such a thing made him glad he was in the city with healers near-by. Thankfully after the first few times, people learned to avoid his range. Tydian had much better luck picking up a sword and fighting, his larger form good for knocking people back and away.

Thus began his training as a fighter, though it never left him with a complete feeling. After a while of swinging swords, stubbing toes and broken noses, Tydian felt as if his use could be better put elsewhere. Soon after is when he met a group of Human priests who were traveling around Eversong during the second war. The priests were going around healing the wounded and preaching of a thing called the Light. This caught the interest of Tydian as he felt he could do more for his people in the way of healing rather than fighting. With his many questions and want to help, he convinced one of the humans to teach him of the faith and what came with it.

Though skeptical at first, his parents had no problems with his training. He dropped the sword and armor to take up to teaching of the Light. Though it was odd waring robes, Tydian grew used to them as he used his new-found faith to heal those around him rather than cause even more wounds. His former brash nature seemed to calm down the less time he spent fighting and the more time he spent healing. As time went on, he became more gentle in nature, caring more about the health of someone rather than how many enemies they could down in a battle. This isn't to say he stopped rough-housing with his friends, far from it. Often times they would get drunk together and stay up late singing horribly at the top of their lungs.

When the third war hit, Tydian was at home with his little sister and the brother who was eventually trained as a mage. When the first blast hit, Tydian was quick to pull his sister under a table so falling rubble would avoid them. Soon fighting reached their ears, then came the smell of decaying corpses. He and his siblings ran out only for a mass of undead to start swarming around them. With all that he was, Tydian fought against them while his brother put up a portal. In the end, Sanin grabbed his sister and fell though, only to see his brother pulled back by the scourge and the portal close upon his death.

The time waiting for Silvermoon to clear seemed to take ages for the mind of the priest. He found soon an aching pain in himself which caused his younger sister to cry out for. What was worse, he just didn't have the faith in him that he once had in order to call upon the light. This only depressed him further. Bad news upon bad news piled up on the elf, news of his parents death, news of their nobility now lost in the rubble and news upon his brothers imprisonment. Each word only added to the stress of the once noble with a crying sister to take care of.

Tydian was all to happy to drain the new energy, the hideous substance of fel, brought to them by Kael'thas' forces. At first he had protested due to the nature of the energy, but he soon caved in so long as it brought his sister some comfort. She was the only thing he had now and he had to take care of her. He left her with a family friend in order for her to have a roof over her head while he went though the rest of that time in a blur.

He once more picked up his sword and armor and abandoned the faith that once held him. He, along with others like him, drew from the Naaru to become part of the organization known as the Blood Knights. He would fight the remaining Scourge and heal his brothers and sisters in battle with the power taken from the Naaru. He started feeling the most alive when his sword sliced though a rotting corpse. From there, his depression got the best of him. He walked around the city in a haze, people and names not meaning anything to him. The only thing he had to look forward to was the bright smile of his sister, though that would soon turn dark when she had begun to question where their parents were.

His mind collapsed on itself after the third question and soon he simply chose to forget the word he had received of his parent's death. At the questions, he couldn't stand the idea of telling her the truth and thus, within a month, he was sending fake letters addressed to his sister and himself from their 'parents' who were out on a long vacation. This practice continues to this day, fooling his sister easily while somehow fooling himself. Tydian has started to believe that he and his parents have a mental connection and that while they cannot write at the moment, they can send to him what they would write if they could. Those who know the truth are normally kept away from his sister, least she find out.

Tydian soon began to understand that he needed a more stable job that allowed him to remain home more often rather than be off fighting. With this in mind, he applied and joined the Silvermoon Guard. Not long after his joining, the Sunwell was reclaimed and purified thanks to the Naaru. Most of the Paladins regained their faith rather than take the energies the Sunwell now provided for them. Tydian, on the other-hand, found it hard to even think about the Light the way he did before and instead changed his path to that of a simple warrior. His spirits raised considerably knowing that his sister would no longer have to drain from a tainted magic.

Tydian continues to write letters to his sister to keep her questions down as well as keep himself sane. He has managed to find a small house with one room for the two to live in rather than depend on their old family friends. He now saves money and sets it aside in order to fund his little sisters schooling for when she decides she is ready to take on the training of a mage.

Recently he has learned of another branch of the family reclaiming their lost nobility. Rather then try to get on the action, Tydian has kept to himself for the most part but has started to send letters in order to keep in contact with what family he has left. He knows of the plight of the other world, but has no true will to leave the city to see the damages.
