Appearance

Blue and white plate, with a tabard and cape of Stormwind. In combat, the armor becomes coated in a layer of thick frost. She also carries a black, rune-etched longsword in sheathed at her hip.

Other: Generally stern and/or serious looking. Has several, generally unseen scars (hidden by her breastplate or gauntlets). Well groomed whenever possible (clean, well brushed hair and as clean of skin as a Death Knight can manage).

Personality

Alignment: Closest to Chaotic Good.

Due mostly to her undead state, Syzygy's most often seen demeanor is one of cold seriousness, particularly in combat. She is the last to smile or laugh at a joke (if she laughs at all), and cracks jokes even less often. Heavy injuries tend to break her icy exterior (figuratively and literally), shifting her from cold calculation to heated hastiness.

History

From a young age, Syzygy followed the path of her mother and father, both knights of the Kingdom of Lordaeron. She was kept under close supervision, and submitted to strict training in preparation for her eventual military conscription. In addition to her training and an assured place in (at the very least) the city guard, her parents gifted her with a powerful sense of justice and duty to her land and, more importantly, the people who lived there. It was this devotion to her land that saw her through countless battles, from skirmishes with local bandits and gnolls, to full military campaigns against the Horde, the Legion, and the second rising of the Scourge. Though her role in these battles was only that of a warrior, her performance earned her promotion after promotion, until she reached the rank of Knight-Lieutenant.

Syzygy followed in her parents' footsteps much further than they had hoped, however. Six years after her parents fell defending their homeland from the Scourge invasion, she was similarly overcome by the overwhelming might of the undead. It was in the frozen wasteland of Northrend that the King's grasp claimed, defending the men and women of Valiance Keep from the near constant ghoul onslaught as they struggled to establish a foothold. Strong and disciplined as she was, the frigid cold steadily tore down her resolve, leaving her open to the jagged claws and teeth of the undead. Her body and mind were ravaged by her unforgiving adversaries, until she was little more than a cold husk dieing in the snow.

But unlike her parents, fate saw fit to bestow Syzygy with the “gift” of a dark resurrection. She joined the ranks of the Lich King's death knights, following blindly as so many others did, slaughtering those she had sworn to protect, until her shackles were finally broken. She could feel her old devotion flooding back, mixed with the guilt of her massacres committed in evil's name, swirling and mixing into a cold resolution that penetrated to her core. Never again would she betray her people, or sully her parents' memory with such atrocities.
