Haydee is a manipulator, a crafty woman who is patient but always planning. She keeps her eyes on potential victims then uses her wiles to get close, usually by seducing men and playing up a matronly or sisterly role to women. However, she has no regrets, no feelings of remorse to her victims current and past. To her, everyone is a puppet... but she is wise enough to know not all puppets can be played.

Haydee hides behind the guise of a kindly cultured lady who (supposedly) knows a lot of the world around her, especially the affairs of other races and politics of the warring factions. All this knowledge primarily comes from subordinates in her crime organization, which holds no affiliation except themselves. Haydee otherwise is greedy, power hungry, cunning, and constantly scheming. She holds no love, and is genuinely incapable of it. Everyone close to her--Dino, Benedetto, Teobaldo, and even her daughter Aimee--are tools for her to use, and she is ready to dispose of them should the need arise.

History

Haydee was born in Alterac while it was under the rule of King Perenolde. Even then, her family was involved with assorted crimes, including and especially theft, embezzlement, and contracted murder. The blood of crime flows through her veins; at a young age, she already began picking pockets and learning the trade of the black market. Despite her skill and pride in criminal acts, Haydee did not gain any recognition within the crime world; to them, she was just another pretty face. Even when she joined the Red Glove as a young girl, she was seen as not much more than a lovely little lady who could do much more than lead men on before victimizing them. No, Haydee was more--a manipulator and a planner. Her acts of deceit and power grabbing began when she had eyes on a young Geraldino Galleani, son of the well-respected weapons inventor Marta Perin, and favorite of the Boss of the Red Glove. For a few years, she latched onto the witless Dino, posing as his lover and eventually even bearing his daughter, Aimee. At the same time, however, she attached herself to his far handsomer half-brothers, Benedetto and Teobaldo, where they not only became her real lovers, but especially her lapdogs.

The time for power came just after Aimee was born. Using her daughter as a means of manipulation for all three brothers, Haydee claimed the other brothers as either of them as Aimee's father, then urged the healthier two to break Dino's legs, which would have him fall off the Boss' favor. Using the two Galleani brothers' ruthlessness as her means of establishing fear and respect within the Glove, Haydee continued to climb the power ladder. This all went on during the First and Second Wars, where she and the Glove were a part of Perenolde's betrayal by assisting in the insurance of the orcs' passage to Lordaeron. When the Kingdom fell, the Glove moved to the Capital City under false names, where Haydee continued her own operations. Aimee was raised to be a thief, assassin, and manipulator, much like her mother, while Dino was kept around as not much more than the gang doctor.

Chaos broke out within the Glove, however, when Dino fled with five of Haydee's subordinates. Aimee was about to be taken, but this was prevented. A chase occurred with Haydee, Benedetto, and Teobaldo leading. As it turned out, the chase was what saved Haydee and her lovers' lives: this was happening as Arthas arrived in Lordaeron to destroy it. The Red Glove lost half of its members to the Scourge, and as such, the gang was broken up. The Red Glove laid low during the Third War, and it did not reform until the formation of the Undercity, when the now Forsaken members of the crime leaders were able to return.

The Red Glove remain low under the radar, continuing their work as suppliers of war on both sides, often providing for the highest bidder. A risky business move was made in the Plaguelands, however, that resulted in Benedetto and Teobaldo killed. Haydee (who was hardly mournful of her lovers' death) used this time to climb up the power ladder on her very own, eventually gaining the highest position within the Red Glove as a commander for the whole organization while still directly under the Boss. A surprise came to the Glove a few years later, however, when Benedetto and Teobaldo returned as Death Knights of the Ebon Blade--except they never exactly had any loyalty there when clarity returned. Proud of having powerful knights as her underdogs, Haydee boldly took advantage of her undead lovers as a means of an end to her crimes.

After the fall of the Lich King, Haydee made for one more act of deceit and power grabbing. Using her charms and appeal to loyalty, Haydee made direct contact with The Boss, offering herself as his wife. There, with the help of her Death Knight underdogs, Haydee slaughtered the Boss then feigned his existence through letters circulated around the Glove. This way, Haydee was now the Crime Lady of the Red Glove without the title publically her own--should she be caught and imprisoned, the authorities would be after a "boss" that was never there. With the help of Benedetto, Teobaldo, and undead former priests Franz and Rosalina Crotti, Haydee held an iron grip on the Red Glove, at last the organization within her own bloodstained fingertips.

Skills and Abilities

Haydee, even currently, is capable of some standard rogue abilities, such as stealth, information gathering, and assassination via knives and firearms. However, most of her actual skills lie in her cunning and wiles. Haydee often resorts to the facade of friendliness and femininity to lower one's guard before she strikes. As such, she is heavily reliant on deceit and mind games, and should her efforts be thwarted by the stronger willed, she simply flees.

Most of Haydee's heavy duty work is relied on subordinates, servants, and slaves under her order. She asserts her authority often, compensating her own weaknesses through the strengths of others. Like her victims, she uses guile and manipulation as her primary means of keeping underlings in line. Alone, Haydee is just a fairly ordinary, even 'squishy', human. With the Glove behind her, she has gangs to her command.
