Aimee Herzog is brought up to believe that people will value her for what she has, not for what she is as a person. For this reason, she tends to come off as either an empty-headed tart or an annoying hellion, depending on the company around her, as she can be flirty and coquettish but quick to anger and yell. She has a tendency to act rather callous and selfish when on the job, working on pleasing her family and the organization they run. The fact she is not successful often, however, leaves her often with low self-esteem about herself, believing there is no value to her as an individual.

When encountering someone whom she can be open to, she displays more honest traits to her person: playfulness, cheer, and zeal for all things bright and beautiful. She has a deep love for knowledge in humanoid anatomy and engineering, hoping to emulate movement as compensation for her viewed lack of competency as a person. In general, she is very unhappy, but she finds a joy when lost among those who see past her inadequacies.

History

Aimee was born four years after the Second War after a union between Alterac spies Haydee Herzog and Dr. Giraldo Perin (a.k.a., Dr. Geraldino "Dino" Galleani). However, this union was a troubled one--Haydee only coupled with Dr. Dino for his position and rank within the criminal organization, and as soon as she obtained it, she left him for his far handsomer brothers, Benedetto and Teobaldo Galleani. For this reason, by the time Aimee was born, she was raised to believe that either brother was her father and that Dr. Dino, her true father, was only her uncle. Aimee was then taken away from her birth father to be raised as a thief, spy, and, eventually, a killer while her mother, stepfathers, and the Red Glove hid in Alterac.

Despite the imposed familial distance, Dino made attempts to stay close with Aimee, taking up opportunities to babysit her whenever her mother and stepfathers had to leave for business. During this time, Aimee picked up her "uncle's" interest in engineering and humanoid anatomy, but while Dr. Dino's focus was on assisted living and improving the humanoid body, Aimee was on emulating automated movement altogether. When Aimee turned eight years old, the Red Glove moved from Alterac to the Capital City of Lordaeron while under false names; there, she and Dino took trips around the city to enjoy the sights, even attending a theater performance where Aimee was lost in the wonders of dance. From there on, Aimee decided she wanted to invent dancing machines, or just any machine that can emulate movement without any humanoid assistance.

By sheer luck, it was around this time when Aimee narrowly escaped the arrival of the Scourge into the Capital City. The Red Glove split up to follow an objective whereas one half traveled to Southshore while the other stayed behind. By this time, Aimee was separated from Dr. Dino, as he was unable to take her with him as he fled the Glove. Left alone with rather unloving family, Aimee then spent the remaining years trained into the ways of guile, deceit, and assassination. She was then brought up by Haydee, Teobaldo, and Benedetto in hopes of making her the perfect spy and soldier for the Red Glove.

Such aims were not entirely successful, however--throughout then, all Aimee could think about is how to create her own machines for purposes other than crime and killing. Knowing of her family's wishes to produce a destructive weapon, Aimee hid her talents from the Glove and obfuscated incompetency when it comes to engineering. For this reason, she tries to improve her skills as a rogue, but she lacks the talent in such a role. By the time she reached adulthood, she is still viewed as childish and insignificant in the Red Glove while outside of it, she is a brainless tart.

Since she turned eighteen, Aimee then worked hard to earn herself a rank within the Glove, but it wasn't until she was given one freely due to her age and her relations with her mother. Believing she earned that rank on her own, Aimee worked harder for the Glove in hopes to please them. It was around then, however, when she was kidnapped for Sangreala Saumerian and held prisoner. Subjected to torture, she was lead to believe that Dr. Dino, her long-lost 'uncle', was responsible for her kidnapping. By the time she was released, she retaliated against her 'uncle' and fled back home.

In an attempt to make up for lost time, Aimee tried to do more for the Glove by volunteering supervision of the creation of war machines within the organization's laboratories. It was around this time she met Annabelle Greene, who was kidnapped for her own engineering skills. She spent some time around her, as Annabelle was the first person since Dr. Dino in Lordaeron in which she was recognized as a person rather than as a tool for the Glove. Events occurred in which Aimee found herself covering for Glove defectors, protecting Arnaldo Gallo as well as escaping with Annabelle. After talks with her newfound friends, and an apologetic meeting with 'Uncle' Dino, Aimee realizes her place is not with the Glove, but with people who appreciate her as a person.

As of the present, Aimee has not defected against the Glove yet, in fear of consequences should her mother and stepfathers find out. She is currently wandering about during her free time, seeking solace in the company of others who can help her in her soul-searching as she finds her real place in this world.

Skills and Abilities

Aimee is barely grasping the necessary skills of a rogue--sneaking, stabbing, and other dirty tricks are not really her forte. Also despite being taught to use her feminine wiles to seduce men for many purposes including deceit and manipulation, she's not always totally successful.

Aimee is, however, a budding engineer whose skills and cravings for the intellectual are struggling to get out. Despite growing up in an environment that values criminal behavior, Aimee wishes for a simpler life in reading and tinkering. She has yet to discover where her area of expertise is yet, though so far, most of her interests lie in emulated automation--the creation of robots.
