Alignment: Lawful Evil

Personality: In life Garrius was a charismatic, honest and patriotic man. He applies himself to the fullest whether it is practicing his art as a smith or leading troops into the heart of battle. While he respects those in higher positions of authority and will do as they command he does not do so blindly. In death he has become a more cynical and reserved individual. He still maintains the patriotic feelings that drove him to fight for Strom for so long, despite the kingdom being a shell of its former self now. Garrius harbors an anger at the Lich King for returning him to the world in a shell, the same anger applies to those that betray their friends.

History: Garrius was born into the Blackstone family almost two decades before the First War. Most of his time was spent playing with his older brother Dalathar or learning this craft of blacksmithing. Towards the end of his childhood his older brother had moved away to Stromgarde to join the army, this left his father and a few workers to man the forges so that more blades could be brought to market. When Garrius was old enough, he too moved to Stromgarde to pursue a career in the military. Shortly after enlisting there was word that there was war in their sister kingdom of Stormwind, whether they were too distant or simply didn't care Garrius was now aware whether troops has been sent to aid them or not.

By the time the Second War started Garrius had been promoted from squire to footman and was itching for battle. With the threat of the orcish horde so close to their kingdom he marched with the other fighters of Stromgarde and the dwarves to defend the Thandol Span. During the battle he was charged with the task of safeguarding the warmages from enemy footsoldiers. In the midst of the battle he witnessed a small force attempting to flank the line of wizards, Garrius and the twenty or so other soldiers guarding the mages moved them back onto a raised position. With command of the high ground and the enemy force now in range of spells they were able to dispatch the flanking force.

After the war ended Garrius retired from the military, spending most of his time near the forge mending blades and creating new ones for the recruits. Whenever he was given leave he would return to the Blackstone home in the northern highlands to help his father cart the blades around the northern kingdoms. Many years later he had opened a successful smithy of his own within the walls of Stromgarde. While on a trip to supply blades to the Argent Dawn in the Western Plaguelands, the region came under attack from the Scourge. Seeing no other course of action Garrius donned a suit of armor and joined in the battle.

When he awoke he was but a mindless minion of the Lich King and continued to serve, all the while being forced to take a back seat and witness his body commit horrible acts of murder. When he was freed at the battle of Light's Hope Chapel he set off with the other Ebon Bladesmen to, as Tirion aptly put it, "tear down the walls of Icecrown."

With Arthas finally dead Garrius has been struggling to find something to do, most of the time he'd take odd mercenary work in the bay. After all, if someone needs killing who better to ask than someone who thrives on it? Word reached him that there were individuals from the scattered northern nations that wanted to cleanse the land of horde and other undesirables he left for Arathi immediately.
