Appearance
Erythnal usually wears a set of dark robes standard of the Knights of the Ebon Blade, sometimes with the hood up, and sometimes down. He also carries a set of full battle armour if he is expecting a full fight. Whenever possible he will carry his runeblade with him.
Other: Erythnal carries his runeblade Blighthand with him at almost all times. Blighthand is intelligent and sometimes Erythnal will pause and have an empathetic discussion with the blade over important decisions. Erythnal almost always claims the souls of those he kills in combat for his blade. Perhaps another strange thing is that the only living thing Erythnal tolerates is a small black cat which travels almost everywhere with him, he is very defensive of his 'pet' and will do very little to explain his reasoning behind the small creature.
Personality
Any sense of love and kindness was stripped from Erythnal in his death, leaving a cold and calculated man behind, strangely though, he seems to have held onto his lawful nature, and since regaining his self control he has proven that multiple times. This of course does not apply to the living though, except in very rare cases. He completely despises the living and, though one cannot be sure if it was Erythnal or Blighthand's decision he has decided that undead deserve to be the superior race in Azeroth. Erythnal, like all other Death Knights harbors a deep hatred for the Scourge and Arthas, and whenever possible will seek to slay the mindless Scourge. He holds a respect for his fellow Knights of the Ebon Blade and is hesitant to slay them, even when they are enemies.
History
Erythnal was born in Silvermoon city as with most High Elves and was heavily trained in the art of the sword. He worked hard to perfect his abilities so that he could join the rangers and protect Silvermoon from its enemies, a common goal among most of the High Elves of the time. He held a deep respect for his culture and traditions and strove to be the best in everything he did, and when he came of age he joined with the warriors of Silvermoon on their missions to protect Silvermoon. For a while that was enough, but eventually Erythnal wanted more, he wanted to see the world around him, so he left Silvermoon and traveled across Azeroth for many years, learning about the other primitive races and seeing many amazing sights.
Eventually Erythnal returned to Silvermoon a few years prior to the Scourge invasion, there he remained as a warrior under Sylvanas until Arthas came. He fought with his kind against the Scourge but like many of his kin he was slain by the vast hordes of undead. From there he remembers little, only fighting, killing, and more killing. He was trained to become a Death Knight and slaughtered more in the Lich King's name. He was part of the group of Death Knights who went with Acherus to invade the Eastern Plaguelands, and thus he was part of the group that came to be known as the Knights of the Ebon Blade, freed from Arthas' control.
Not knowing what to do with his new found freedom he returned to Silvermoon, but it wasn't the same as it had been and he found he couldn't easily slip back into his old life, so instead he traveled to the Undercity and joined with Sylvanas, choosing to be one of the Forsaken.
