Personality

Pre-Death Knight

A curious girl, Christene had, since her younger years, had a deep fondness for exploration. Her military experience, all two years of it, hardened her somewhat into a disciplined being. Despite this discipline, Christene is a naturally sexual being, and she's aware of this; having used her sexuality, at times, to get what she wants (from both genders), she has a personal strength and fondness for deception.

Despite this, however, she is an internally well-intented being, while keeping a wall of sarcasm and darkly humor about her. She would die for her friends, family, and anyone she felt was worth dying for (i.e. allies).

Christene loves archery and swordplay; tactics and general warfare have a special place in her heart from her military-oriented family. This has given her great leadership abilities, but despite this she has her insecurities. Christene believes herself undeserving of being heard as a person, so generally she keeps all non-relevant topics to herself, and is emotionally reserved--but is not prone to brooding.

Christene has a deep love for science and nature; both of which she expresses in her writings or paintings. However, Christene also has a very critical view of it; her writings/paintings can sometimes look violent or depressing to one who is not in her mindset.

Christene, while sexual, was never interested in a relationship; her interests lied in her world and in the people around her.

Insecure and yet outgoing, a younger Christene was an internal war.

Post-Death Knight

Having lost all of her memories, Christene's former compassion and love for the people and world around her greatly diminished. While not a full-out hatred, her attitude is more that of indifference. Humanity and mortality to her seem like far-away dreams, like an envious ghost she observes those around her. But, solitary as she may seem, she is hardy anti-social. Enjoying to talk, as she once had, her curiosity never had diminished--part of the reason why she was able to split apart from Arthas's influence.

Christene still writes and paints, oddly enough most of what she creates is much lighter in tone than her mortal days, and love for her seems to be more of a safe haven than an obscure fantasy. But what is mostly on her mind is revenge; revenge for not her loss, but for the loss of millions (if that) in the First, Second, and Third wars at the hands of the Demons and Scourge.

Deathwing and the other Elemental Dragons hold a special fascination with her, along with extraterrestrial beings, such as the Orcs or Draenei. History in a general sense is something she holds dear, and does her best to learn the truth; which is, along with revenge, her chief goal.

Christene as she is now is a wanderer, constantly trying to find whom she once was as a mortal while trying to attain her mission of protecting her world.

History

A little family history: The name 'Lordsbane' is not merely a name, it is a shameful title for the family. They had, in their past, been known as the 'Etearna' family, but was removed due to libertarian ideals pushed upon Stormwind nobles by Christene's grandfather, Bartemeaus Etearna. As a result, they were named Lordsbane and ostracized greatly for their ideologies which have passed down to the younger Lordsbane members.

Christene was born to Rosa and Deamous Lordsbane, a family living off the scraps of their old fortune. They owned a cotton farm in Westfall, where they lived a simple life tending the fields under the burning-hot sun. Christene had a chore-intensive youth, and became quite strong for a young girl. Genetics were working to her advantage, as she was sprouting up quite briskly--much like her father. But her height made her brash; she would frequent the West edge of the Elwynn Forests to explore, finding joy in throwing stones at massive spiders, or running away from the beasts of the forests.

At the age of 8, her brother Nolan was born, at 10 Jennifer, and at 13, her last sibling Angela. Christene was a protective older sister, and had to learn to lead her siblings (so as to keep them out of harm's way). As she watched, at a young age, wars pass near and far from her home, she stayed in the comfort of Stormwind--until she was 15. At that age, she subjected herself to an under-age training facility, alongside her schooling, that would prepare her to become a warrior within the Stormwind Military.

Christene would spend that time wisely, learning tactics and the usage of a wide variety of weapons, while getting in trouble with superiors due to a stubborn and sarcastic personality. As such, Christene had spent two years in the military as a simple Private, without promise of a promotion. Christene soon grew distant from her family and siblings, her natural curiosity about the outside world beginning to grow on her. Her curiosity was spurred on by reading books on knights and their travels and conquests, in her free time. The idea of knighthood romanticized itself inside her head, and soon enough, she had a goal to take up the mantle of knighthood herself.

Christene left the military, having instead spent some of her family's remaining fortune (much to Rosa and Deamous's dismay) on an apprenticeship with a Dwarf craftsman. A knight, she justified, would know how to craft her own arms and armor. Christene moved to Ironforge, spending a good 7 years learning how to smith, smelt, search for ore, and (on the side) learn to play the violin from the craftsman's wife. Still eager to take up her mantle of knighthood, Christene joined the Explorer's Guild to see more of Azeroth, to explore the countryside. In armor that she crafted herself, no less.

Christene was offered an assignment to accompany a small detachment of the Explorer's Guild into the heart of Northrend. Unable to resist, Christene followed the regiment, expecting little else than a few beasts or a wyrm, if they were lucky. This was years prior to present-day, when the Lich King Arthas began to stir. As the explorers headed even further North, Christene and the accompanying warriors headed into the never-ending glaciers.

Christene was now 20, and her experience had hardened her. She had become a greater leader and a great survivor, with the teachings and assistance from both her accompanying warriors and Explorers. Until one evening, when the undead captured Christene, holding her fast as they ripped apart her companions, blood staining formerly innocent eyes, the torture within her soul seeming almost bottomless as the people she'd come to know and love for the past year were slowly slaughtered.

Arthas took this opportunity, and turned Christene to his side in her moment of weakness; as he did with many other Death Knights. As Christene's soul became one with Lich King's, she was forced to slaughter her remaining friends; a visage constantly engraved into her mind.

Eight years later, Christene's memory had long since been taken from her, yet a large part of her will had survived. Christene was a "simple" Death Knight; unknown by Arthas, but a fearsome warrior none the less. The parts of her that remained clinging onto humanity seemed to strive for something more, however; and the Knights of the Ebon Blade recognized this. She was taken in, and was eventually freed from Arthas's control.

Her family had long since made her a memory; her records show that she is "Missing, presumed dead". Now, Christene has wandered from Northrend, away from the Knights of the Ebon Blade as a solitary entity, constantly searching for the truth to her past, and that of Azeroth.

In the present day, Christene has found her past. She has three younger siblings that have aged and become strong adults. Her mother and father have since passed away. Her past is now known to her, and the irony does not escape her: She had become a Knight, as she always dreamed of.
