Information

Player: flammos200

Character Full Name: Allastiel Orwalind

Character In-Game Name: Allastiel

Nickname(s): All, Stiel.

Association(s): The Knights of the Ebon Blade; Formerly the Host of Suffering and the Argent Dawn/Crusade.

Race: Blood Elf

Class: Death Knight

Skills & Abilities:

Unholy: The vast majority of Death Knight skills and spells are swapped to the unholy spectrum, be they from the Frost or Blood school, simply being adapted to the energies most comfortable to Allastiel.

Death Grip Mastery: Constant practice and focus have led to a very fine measure of control over the Death Gripped target, allowing movement in nigh any direction.

Stick-thrower: Allastiel remembers how to fire a bow - not that it's of much use to the Death Knight. The familiarity of the movements helps calm and focus her, though.

Devour The Sky: Rather than suppressing or being horrified by her Endless Hunger, Allastiel has embraced it believing herself the ultimate predator. Just as pain and death feed her spirit, so do fear and darkness feed her mind, effectively empowering her while she is on this 'home field' of sorts. Thus she feels she becomes faster, stronger and her spells appear to be slightly more potent when in environments where terror abounds, or there is a lack of light. Any such psychological advantage is lost when faced with the glare of sunlight or a steely heart.

Age: 137

Sex: Female

Hair: Long, straight and white.

Eyes: Runic blue

Weight: 56 Kg.

Height: 1,80 m.

Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: Light to heavy platemail, often with skeletal motifs on it.

Other: Her skin is blackened due to the large amounts of unholy energy that she has been exposed to and wielded. She lugs around a normal bow in addition to her Runeblade, because she's quite fond of the weapon she's used for about a century.

Personality

Quiet, contemplative but also spiteful and occasionally cruel, Allastiel finds little to enjoy in her unlife, and busies herself with the practice of the skills that she has been imbued with via the Ritual that turns one into a Death Knight.

A shadow of her heroic past, Allastiel couldn't care less for the living and wants little more than to be left alone and allowed enough time to make sense of her situation. She finds the state of undeath to be curious, a point of view which has led to her affiliating far more with the Forsaken and the Ebon Blade, than her Silvermoon kin. Unlike her brazen, daring and enthusiastic life, now Allastiel takes time to consider her actions and indeed finds herself delving in philosophy rather than rushing blindly into danger for some greater purpose. Intelligent and able, Allastiel does not shy away from action when she sees it necessary.

Of the races, or the Alliance and Horde, Allastiel cares little. She shows a degree of sympathy for the Argents, but finds her family in undead - The Ebon Blade and the Forsaken.

History

“A hero, that's what you were..."

Born in Quel'thalas as most High Elves of her time, to a Farstrider family, Allastiel's childhood was a playful and happy one. Her parents loved her, and she loved them back to no end. Her days were spent in the sun, learning about nature, and her nights in a mischievous combination of sleep and sneaking a little more play time before the day was done.

The happy and carefree child grew into a strong young woman who embarked upon Farstrider training as soon as she was able to, becoming a fierce warrior of the wilds and defender of Quel'thalas, should the Troll threat ever re-emerge. She was especially happy that her family was proud of her for her choice in life - following in her parents' footsteps.

Her perfect, happy life would shatter with the coming of the Scourge, when she would fight until she could hold the line no more, and had to fall back and seek refuge from the onslaught of undead. She found such shelter with her family, and together, they survived. It did not take long for Allastiel to turn to Fel to sate her thirst for magic, but even after becoming a Blood Elf, she was not content with sitting back and rebuilding alongside her family, no... She had to leave, for a time, to clear her head.

Allastiel travelled South, where she met a convoy of survivors, by chance, and joined them. They were headed for the port of Southshore, where they took a ship to the forgotten continent of Kalimdor - to the newly-established Theramore Isle, where the Human Survivors of Lordaeron were based. She stayed with them - as they had a number of other elves with them - and helped the small contingent with various tasks.

Slowly, the Survivors of Lordaeron ended up making their way to Hyjal and participated in the Battle there and Allastiel was among them. Along with the others, she fled to the sound of the Horn of Cenarius.

After the Argent Dawn were organized she headed for the Plaguelands in hope that it'd be a portent of the first few steps to re-purifying Quel'thalas of remaining Scourge, and stayed with the group there, even for the battle of Light's Hope Chapel. Just like Hyjal, the sight of very different peoples banding together for a common purpose - the eradication of the Scourge - heartened Allastiel, enough that she would embark upon a journey to Northrend to strike at the heart of the beast, alongside the rest of the Argent Crusade.

And so she did. After the tedious Icebreaker journey, the War against the Lich King would be her next task. For a few months, everything was fine - until on the edge of Icecrown, where she was scouting, she fell prey to the biting cold, and died of hypothermia. That wouldn't be the end of her struggle - not by a long shot. A patrol of Scourge found her body and loaded it into a Meat Wagon, shipping it to Malykriss, the Vile Hold, where she was risen as a Death Knight, to serve in the Host of Suffering - an order of Death Knights created to replace the Ebon Blade of Acherus, and to serve the Lich King in Icecrown.

She wasn't present for most of the siege on Icecrown Citadel itself, being sent away on other orders, but once the Lich King fell, Allastiel regained her freedom. It wasn't long before she encountered other Death Knights - the Ebon Blade, and pledged herself to them. It wasn't an easy task - gaining the trust of the Ebon Blade after fighting against them and the Argents - but it was a worthwhile one.

After succeeding in joining the Knights of the Ebon Blade and reconciling with her former brethren in the Argent Crusade, Allastiel went home, to her parents. She was greeted lukewarmly, with sad smiles, but warm embraces, reasons for which she said her goodbyes and left once more, this time headed for the Undercity. She has been at the side of the Forsaken ever since.
