Character In-Game Name: Aadora

Nickname(s): Aadorable

Association(s): Exodar, Alliance

Race: Draenei

Skills/Abilities: She has grown a very strong bond with an earth spirit. This earth spirit is different from many, in that it tries to understand the feelings and beliefs of this world. It has become somewhat of a protector, seeming to protect her without her even asking it to at times. It, rather than just watching, and judging her as the other spirits do, would rather give her hints or even show her what he wants. That is their exchange. She helps , -Rokh- as she named him, with whatever he needs her help with. And in return, whatever she asks of him, he will do. As long as it is within his power that is. And Rokh, is a very powerful spirit. The other spirits however, require that she figure it all out herself. She has a strong bond with her water spirit as well, but she has hardly been able to gain favor of any others.

Personality

Never would she want to hurt someone. She is always nice, even to people she hates. She hates Sin'Dorei for causing the death of her family, and Orcs for the massacre of her people, but she would never show it. Rather than getting angry, due to her innocent nature, the more people get mad at her, she gets more sad. If people try to start a fight with her, she is more likely to cry than to yell back at them. Along that same point... she is training to master water and earth elements, but only ever heals, and has never been seen using it for combat since they arrived in Azeroth. She is literally the person that a guy would walk past and purposely shove her out of the way, and she would turn and bow and apologize for being in their way.

She used to be more like other Draenei. Always being respectful but expecting such respect in return. Now, her Earth Spirit wishes for her to be respectful of others regardless. But she has taken it too far to a point where she never expects anything from others. She has lost her ability to take charge since the events of coming to Azeroth. Any mention of her family and she will become very sad.

She is very shy, and almost always prefers to not to start conversations with people, but is always willing to talk when others speak to her first. She never tries to draw attention to herself and will often not respond at first to people calling her by anything other than her name, because she does not really get the feeling that people are talking to her.

Ever since her training started, she has worked very hard at her Shamanism. If there is one thing she is completely confident in, it is her own ability to control the power she has earned from the spirits.

Another example of how she acts, is that she has given a name to the 5 spirits that she best knows of. Fire-Sear Water-Flou Air-Gust- Earth-Rokh, and Wilds-Flora.

Also, having only just recently been sent out to see the society of the other races of the world, she has a lot of trouble understanding things that people do or say. She also has had slight trouble with understanding certain word applications in common. Such as thinking that Mister and Miss are always formal titles, and that everyone needs a title. She thinks of Mister and Miss, as replacement for Brother and Sister. This also means, that when she speaks in Draenei, her words make much more sense, and sound much less childish.

Alignment (if applicable): Lawful Good

History

Aadora was born in Shattrath to an originally very wealthy family, back when currency mattered to their people. After having left Shattrath to take refuge in Zangarmarsh, and after a while there, she began training as a Shaman. She always looked up to Velen and dreamed about someday serving directly under him, and even of someday becoming a prophet. this is what led her to become one of the very first Shamans. As Velen supported Shamanism, and wanted them to learn it, she was quick to become a student wanting to impress Velen. Though at the time of course, he was much too busy with other thing to take much notice in a single Shaman's studies at the time.

During the fight for the Exodar, she fought alongside her mentor, and was almost killed had it not been for her Earth spirit taking its own action but a single time. Without her asking, a pillar lifted up in front of her blocking an arrow that otherwise would have killed her.

When they left on the Exodar, Aadora was very excited to arrive at their new home. But as things quickly turned bad, she quickly got scared. She panicked and ran through the ship trying to find her parents. Her mentor found her first, and forced her to get into the pods, as it was not safe to be running around the ship at the time. She fought the whole way, but was quickly locked away, her mentor locking himself away in the next pod. As the whole ship shook, she began to panic. She hit the walls trying to get out, having no idea where her parents were. As the ship's -engines- failed, she reached a point of panic where she finally passed out from so much stress. Everything went dark as all she heard was creaking metal, and what sounded like an earthquake.

When she awoke, all was silent, except for very muffled sounds. Inside her pod, she once again, began to panic, as she heard something pounding on the lid. She looked around trying to find a way to get out. She suddenly realized she was shell-shocked, and her hearing slowly returned, as she heard what sounded like explosions and someone outside was screaming at her. She knew the voice, it was her mentor. He was pounding on the door yelling at her.

“Aadora, GET UP, open this thing and get out here now!!!”

She was freaking out, and started pressing all over, trying to find a button, lever or something to get out. Finally, as her hand slid over a pad, a lever revealed itself. She pulled the lever quickly, and the hatch launched itself open. She quickly pulled on her helmet and climbed out, starting to calm down... for the moment. All she could think of was that she was finally out of the pod. But as she cleared her head, she realized... all was not well.

She looked to the sky, and saw crystals, and pods falling like a meteor storm. She was instantly horrified, knowing that her family must be up there somewhere. Her mentor quickly dragged her away from their pods, and they immediately got to work going to the nearest pods and helping the people out. Unfortunately, not everyone was found unharmed, or even always alive within the pods. With every tomb they opened, she became more and more fearful... that the next one, would be someone in her family. As they finished the area, building a small camp... she took the healthiest Shamans and priests with her, and went out further, in all directions, saving all they could. It was that very night, she came along a safe room, that had detached itself before the crash. She and a small group were able to work the door open, as they did, a few exited coughing, saying that not all within the room had made it. As one exited, he saw Aadora helping the wounded outside. He approached her slowly, and immediately apologized.

She was confused, but it suddenly hit her. She looked to the door, and realized how few had come out. Some of the group exited just as she was running inside. They did everything in their power to keep her out of the room, but she went as far as to use her earth powers to get them out of the way. She knew her family was inside, and upon entering... she was far too late. Her family lay together against the wall, not having survived the impact. She fell to her knees, and they had to leave and return with her mentor, just to be able to get her out. For days, she did nothing. She would not eat, or sleep, and would most certainly not do anything around the area to help anyone. But soon enough, her mentor was able to convince her that her parents were gone, and that was that. But the people there and then, needed her. She finally got up, and got to work, helping everyone. She became a great asset to their survival in the isles, and made her mentor proud.

Aadora already had a strong bond with her Earth spirit. But the others seemed to be -just there-. So she went to work trying to gain their favor as well. But as it seemed, she had a very stubborn fire and wind spirit. She had already done good in the water and life spirits eyes when she helped her people before and after the crash as a healer. But it seemed fire and wind just wanted her to go and break something. She often got frustrated with them and would give up on them. So to this day, when she asks those spirits for help, the results are minimal. Almost seeming as an insult.

But... despite everything that happens between her and her spirits, she actually has a deep bond with all of them. except Flora. Whenever she is sad, her fire spirit will protect her, and whenever she is scared, her wind spirit will blow people away. All of her spirits will on rare occasion, act on their own for her. Such as her Earth Spirit lifting a rock wall between her and an arrow. Or she gets hurt and suddenly she would be healed without even asking for help from the spirits. The reason for this is because every time that she accidentally angers one of the spirits, she will go completely out of her way to do something to try and regain their favor. It is only in her eyes that she has lost their favor, so every time she asks for her help, she herself does not believe in it, so is instantly readying to ask the others. Thus, the spirit will not do anything taking it as though she is not really asking them.

This is where her story ends, and her life begins. For the rest of her time she studied under her mentor in Exodar, making friends of everyone, but being cut off from any outside influences, other than learning fluent common. Recently, her mentor has sent her to Booty Bay, to finally learn about the races of Azeroth.
