Appearance

Zoraan, as he is at the time of writing is a tall, slender Draenei with very little girth compared to his kind. His limbs are longer than the average of his kind, appearing weak and fragile due to his lack of muscle mass compared to your average Draenei. His lavender skin also shows very soft features. His face also seems to blends seamlessly with the rest of his skin save for the bony protrusions starting from his nose ending in the back of his head. The spine like bone growths lead into two smooth yet angular horns that stick out of the front, top of his head. Behind his horns and bone plate his sky blue hair is tied back, and on the opposite side he has two large, fine groomed sideburns leading to his four, long and slender facial tendrils.

He is usually adorned with a robe a shade of blue or purple. He is sometimes seen wearing protective gloves or goggles.

Other: He appears to display several signs of minor mutation due to coming from a bloodline that has long dealt with arcane magic and technology, as his long limbs and weak muscles appear unnatural if compared to a Draenei who is simply non-athletic and tall.

Personality

Zoraan's personality is that of one who has spent most of his life isolated with his work. That said he acts loudly and in attention grabbing ways, as he sees him self as one who doesn't get the credit that he deserves for the great arcane breakthroughs he has yet to make. He talks boisterously with plenty of smarm and prophetic self pride rarely being modest and not afraid to approach a complete stranger about his research or if said stranger appears to be a practitioner of the arcane it is not odd at all for him to try and spark up a conversation about what him and the assumed kindred spirit have in common.

History

Zoraan's history begins before he was even born, and is locked away in his blood, twisted by the allure and taint of magic. You see, if one where to trace his lineage back to Argus, one would probably see the names of several minor magi, as his line didn't reach any importance until the rise of the Draenei and the exodus from Argus. At that point his ancestors had been trained by the Naaru to tend some of the volatile machines scattered within the great dimensional ship they fled from Argus on. This is where his love of arcane artifacts and machines comes from, since it's been a major part of his family's life for generations.

This duty and passion was taught to him at a very young age, as most of his young life spent inside the many arcane vaults and laboratories of Shattrath city, studying, experimenting and toying with arcane trinkets and spells with his many cousins and siblings (his line was a fertile one). As tending the dimensional ship was no longer an issue due to the occupation of Draenor his family had used their knowledge of arcane machines and had become artificers and arcanists.

This isolation had imprinted a subconscious need for attention into the mind of little Zoraan, since he was forced to compete for attention with almost 30 others with the older members of his family. The constant bickering, one upsmanship and competition between the young of his family also brought about his habit of declaring that he would one day, or was planning on making something grand such as a trinket or spell, another way of getting attention from his elders, and getting scolded by them for lying.

But that competitive and hectic life wouldn't last for ever. When the Horde began to rampage the land with the might of the legion behind him, he wasn't spared from said destruction. In the slaughter that ensued almost all of his family, including the vast majority of his clutch of siblings and cousins was killed, often seen or heard personally by Zoraan. This brought a malice and hatred for the Orcs, a race that Zoraan had before though of as nothing but a bunch of dirt worshippers that just so happen to blend in with the dirt.

In the chaos in the wake of the Horde's surpise attack he was greeted with nothing but the constant relocation from camp to camp before Valen's raid on the Exodar, nothing much came to Zoraan but strife and heartbreak, watching friends and family killed before his eyes fleeing from one camp to another, being unaware of the refuge Valen and company had founded. This cycle of fear and death went on until his people took back the Exodar. Like all Draenei that crossed over to Azeroth, he was present in the quick and violent attack and ensuing crash and decimation.

Recently Zoraan has begun to come to terms with his new home, although he verbally dislikes it. Part of this process has been traversing the cityscape of the Alliance, seeing the wilds and regular trips to Dalaran, the only other city where he finds him self at home.
