Zaris is often kind, caring, and helpful, though she seems to often become Irate when people baby her for her condition, and has a rebellious attitude to those who treat her specially and different to the others, this becomes apparent when you flat out call her blind to her face, whether calling her "Blind one" or any other form of pointing out her disability.

History

Zaris was born like any other High elf of her time, Though she was risen by what would later become part of the group known as the Farstriders along side her Brother, Kortheo. They looked after one another, Kortheo and Zaris, two peas in a pod if you will. They look after each other, couldn't find a stronger bond in their family.

If one of them knew something the other did not, it did not last long, for there was nothing they didn't ever tell each other. Sure, there were often times where they would tell each other something that angered them. But the anger did not last, for they knew it was petty in the long run. Having a elongated life gave these sort of fights meaningless bothers they learn not to put up with long. They followed the bow as devoutly as their fellow elves followed their ways of magic. Zaris becoming a sharp sight while her counterpart became quite the tracker, their abilities complimenting each other quite well, surely there was not a Feline safe in Quel'Thelas! Then, after years of safety came the Scourge.

They were old enough to fight with everyone else to help repel the Scourge, so that is what they did. They were loyal to their people, even if they were not so magically inclined. They aided Their Ranger General as did every other elf. Falling back from gate to gate, firing upon the Scourge, until finally time caught up with them, And many fell, including Zaris's brother, Kortheo. Zaris herself managed to survive the coming fire of her people, she did not however, recover her brother's body. They had a empty coffin to bury, so to speak.

Years after this had happened, Zaris had moved mostly out of the city in her despair for her loss. Many of her people tried to console each other with their presence and perseverance, but the only reason Zaris had to go to the city was minor supplies and her healthy scoop of Fel energies. Then as she made her way home, she saw a sight she didn't believe; Kortheo.

She didn't know what to do, was she going insane? No because he chased her, knowing it had to be a trick, she ran home, thinking herself safe there, she tried to calm herself when he broke through her door, saying that he felt drawn to her, that he must of been sent to kill her. Zaris pleaded with him, trying to convince him of his past, but he would not hear of it. He would grab his sister's collar, holding her still as he gouges her eyes with his Rune blade, inflicting the wound upon her eyes that destroyed her vision forever, plaguing her eyes with Necrosis.

She fell back, and her brother held her in a choke hold, trying to go for a clean kill now. Panicked and Desperate, Zaris would grab for her dagger, and stabbing it into his temple. To this day she believes she had killed and released her brother. Whether she did or not is not known.

She had fled the best she could back to the City, and after days of wandering she would make it back, alive. Safe. Ready to live out her life with her new affliction. She knows little of how her life will play out now, but she knows she is not done living it yet.
