Personality

Zanta'que is a troll who above all enjoys reading books. She would always carry at least two books with her, usually reading them while nibbling on conjured muffins by her making. The books she reads tend to be either history, documentary or study books.

Life of scholarship and study made her enjoy peace and silence, however in good company she can appear very open and talkative, not hesitating to bonk people's heads with her staff playfully as a sign of friendship or punishment for wrongly chosen words.

Despite of her sedulous studying, she is quite lazy from nature, hesitant on attending to her chores or duties if she is right now enjoying a good book, or sleeping up till noon instead of waking up early to make her day longer.

Zanta'que has no particular interest in battling, she'd rather find a way to resolve problems with logic, diplomacy or magic. However if required to fight, she would not back away and do what she can to help the case she believes in.

History

Zanta'que was born a Darkspear troll on the Broken Isles, during the time of Darkspear tribe being raided and murdered out by murlocs under the rule of the fretted Sea Witch. As she was growing older, experiencing more and more of her friends and trolls around her disappearing or being killed, she decided to study arcane, frost and fire magics, to help make a difference to their grim situation.

Despite of few initial accidents with her studies, such as making quite a number of things burn down, explode or vanish, Zanta'que managed to master the rough basics of being a mage. Soon after she reached the age of fourteen, one dark night a big wave of murlocs attacked. While the young mage's parents left to help defend their village, two murlocs broke into their house. Instead of hiding or trying to run away, she did her best to protect her dear home, receiving a few several injuries but in the final score, killing the aggressors. That night she chose her name to be Zanta'que.

Some time later, a band of orcs under the leadership of Thrall took shelter on their home island. In the turn of events, Sen'jin, the orcs' leader and a few other were kidnapped by the murlocs, taken away to the Sea Witch's domain. Zanta'que's father has been killed during the fight. The following day, Thrall broke free together with the other prisoners, but Sen'jin has been sacrificed to the Sea Witch, right after reveling his vision about Darkspear's escape from the islands.

After arriving in Kalimdor, she lived together with her mother and her life long friend, Rush'kah, first on the southern shores and later on the Echo Isles. After Zalazane's betrayal, the uncorrupted part of the tribe were ordered by Vol'jin to flee the isles. They settled down on the nearby shore, naming their new home Sen'jin Village, after their old leader.

In the next years, Zanta'que concentrated mostly on her studies as a mage, traveling Durotar and the neighboring lands in order to perfect her herbalism skills. Inspired by Orgrimmar's two inscription trainers, Jo'mah and Xantili, Zanta'que became a journeyman scribe, learning the skill and spending most of her evenings over a stack of books, parchments, a box of ink bottles and a pile of broken or used up pens.

Falling into deep affection and love towards her life long friend Rush'kah, Zanta'que soon became his mate. She usually travels by his side, staying loyal to him no matter what life brings upon them.
