Appearance

Zala is a voodoo priestess, so she wears various tribal robes. The one thing that is always in common with her outfits is that she's masked and hooded since she is undead.

Personality

Zala is a crafty priestess, crafting her staff from bone and wood. She holds honor in the highest regard, despising people who act dishonorable and cheat to succeed. However, in battle, she will fight to the bitter end and pull out all the stops and tricks. Hypocritical? No. Her beliefs change on the battlefield, as it life or death, one must do what one needs to survive. She also whispers a prayer for each thing she kills, as not to anger the 'spirits' for ending a life.

Other: She believes in clairvoyance, constantly looking at a crystal around her neck that she found in the jungle when she was living for the answers to guide her.

History

Zala was once a proud troll, and was an avid priestess, using her staff and medical wisdom to save her fellow tribe. She, at one point, was to bear a child, but that child was claimed by the spirits. The father would meet a similar fate by Zala's hand, however, after her rage at the death of her child caused her extreme emotional distress. She ended up killing him with a powerful curse, then eating his corpse after a small prayer. A few years after that incident, she left her island home with the Orcs and their leader Thrall to escape their besieged home. She has many issues when it comes to battle, especially after the Third War. She willingly volunteered to join in the Battle of Hyjal, and slaughtered many demons and watched many of her friends die at he hands of those monsters. One of many reminders of her battle is the long scar along her back from a succubus' lashing. She, however, was able to kill the demon and took its horns as a reminder that all demons must be eliminated.

After the Third War, Zala passed away due to complications from the succubus' attack against her. She was mummified by her fellow trolls, and put to rest. Or so they thought. Late one night, another troll came to her grave and resurrected her using the ancient art of the voodoo. She arose from the grave, her mind still mostly intact from her recent burial. She remembered all of her voodoo priestess knowledge, and stared at her 'savior'. "Go, child, spread the knowledge of da voodoo. Make meh proud, and bring othas to see da truth." The old troll cackled, handing Zala a book of voodoo spells and made his leave without ever stopping his mad cackling. She stared at her grave, then towards the book. Zala could not say much to what had happened to the old troll, but she can at least say this much: That troll set her on the path of death...and it was a much more wondrous path than everyone believes. But that's okay, she is the guide; it is her job to lead the lost to true salvation. It is believed that she has taken up certain rituals to try and see into the future, but no one can be certain how much, if any, of the future the older troll can see.
