Personality

Zaelis usually neutral to any race, showing little to no favour or dislike to any race, with the exception of the Kaldorei and the Sin'dorei. She believes the Sin'dorei within the city who have accepted the Fel to be blind sheeps and idiots. The Kaldorei, on the other hand, have intrigued Zaeli with their close connection to nature. She openly advocates the end of war to unite under a common banner against a common foe.

Despite her neutral attitude, Zaeli always fears one of the Farstriders or a bounty hunter coming to hunt her. The only things she truly hates are the Fel and it's users and the Shadow and it's users, having seen the worst of what either of it can bring. She hold a dislike against the Arcane but won't stop anyone from using it unless the power they hold corrupts the user.

In combat or any other kind of danger, the Elf doesn't show fear, anger or any other emotion, rather keeping it bottled up until the end.

Zaeli enjoys nothing more than to play the guitar and sing. She isn't very good with authority, often going against it to do what she thinks is for the better. Zaeli prefers to spend her time out in the wilds over entering a city.

Her biggest wish is to one day Join the Kaldorei and become as close to nature as one could possibly get (in her eyes, at least) by becoming a Druidses. She most likely will never achieve this but that doesn't stop her from dreaming.

History

Zaeli was born to a small family, her father an engineer and her mother a Farstrider. She learnt how to take apart and reassemble things from an early age by her father. Her mother taught her how to use the bow and hunt. Her early life was a simple life and she enjoyed it.

Once of age, Zaeli joined the Farstriders at her mother's behest and the idea that it would be fun. It wasn't what she thought. She served as best as she could nonetheless in an attempt to make her parents proud. The First War, she remained back in Eversong, training and attempting to follow orders. The Second War she fought against the Forest Trolls of Eversong and the Horde that dared to come into Eversong.

Zaeli got lost in the forests one day, attacked by a group of Forest Trolls. One was a young warrior and it was obvious, he war barely an adult! Zaeli managed to kill the other two Trolls and wound the young one. She knew what she had to do, she had to kill him. But she couldn't. She lowered her bow and told him to leave, she didn't have the heart or the will to kill a young man. What Zaeli didn't know, was that she was being observed.

When she returned to the base camp, she was immediately called to the captain of her unit and was yelled at. She told him how she felt about it, remaining as calm as she could. She was disciplined hard, having to clean every part of the camp on her own. In her eyes, it was worth it. She spared a life, a life that one day would repay itself.

More years passed, the war ended and peace was achieved. Until reports of the undead reached her ears. Preparing to head to war, it was too late when they were finally ready. The Scourge marched upon Silvermoon. Before Zaeli could touch her bow, the Scourge was all over the camp and Zaeli ran, chased by a group of the undead. The Elf barely survived were it not for a hunting party of Forest Trolls. The leader of this group was no less than the same Troll she spared years ago. Both knew the threat of the Scourge and he helped Zaeli escape, as he said it “an eye for an eye”.

The group knew that it was not safe in Eversong, for either of them. They went into an agreement. Zaeli was surprised at the intelligence of the Trolls and with the agreement, they travelled towards safer lands. They snuck through the forests, favouring safety over speed. Because of this, it took quite some time for them to arrive in the Hillsbrad Foothills.

Once safe, she and the hunting party split up and Zaeli joined with the Alliance to across the sea, to safety. Here she fought the Kaldorei, Horde and Demons alike. By the end of the war, Zaeli was stationed and allied with the Kaldorei, befriending a few of them. The Farstriders learnt she had survived and she was called back to Silvermoon under orders of the Farstriders.

Once back in Silvermoon, she saw the Fel crystals and felt the influence. Over the years she spent protecting Silvermoon and Eversong, her eyes turned a Fel green. Wondering every day why the Magisters would allow something as disgusting as Fel to feed the magic addiction, Zaeli eventually broke off from the Farstriders without a word. Once word reached her parents, she was disowned for this betrayal, as her parents called it. Zaeli learnt of this soon after and went through life without a name and a broken heart.

She left Eversong behind and found a man with a golden voice and a great guitar player. The two came to an agreement. He'd teach Zaeli how to sing and play the guitar and he'd take the coin except what was needed to survive. She practiced under him but hated him. Despite his golden voice, he was full of himself, believing he could do anything at any time. After some time of travelling, the man tried to sleep with Zaeli. She introduced her fist to his face and left, taking half the coin from him.

She started travelling on her own, buying her own guitar and started playing around to pay for her own guitar. She decided to give herself the surname Phoenixsong to signify the start of a new life. Phoenix because she, much like a phoenix, rose from her own ashes and song because it was what she truly enjoys. She now travels the world, her future is to be seen.

Skills and Abilities

  • Bard: Zaeli is great when it comes to playing the guitar. When singing, Zaeli's voice is soft and soothing.
  • Engineer: Zaeli has been tinkering ever since she could walk, including some simple weaponry.
  • Music as a Weapon: Using engineering, Zaeli has integrated a small noise machines into her guitar. This can cause irritation, leading up to damage, within everyone around her, including herself.
  • Sonic Shield: Using a noise machine in her guitar, Zaeli can create a Shield made of a frequency so high, a normal humanoid is unable to hear it. The Sonic Shield itself can stop just about anything coming towards her. (Succes determined through standard rolls.)
  • Farstrider Training: Zaeli is a former Farstrider, knowing every bit of training with the exception of the newer things. She knows how to use the bow, hunt properly and camouflage herself in just about any enviroment.
  • Eagle Eye: Using some nature magic she learnt during her time amongst the Farstriders, Zaeli shares her sight with one of the birds near her, usually her own hawk owl, Ronae. She has, by no means, control of the creature.
  • Explosive Arrows: Some of Zaeli's arrows have been changed through engineering to include an amount of gunpowder. After activating the fuse, Zaeli has a few seconds to launch the arrow. After the wait is over, the fuse reaches the gunpower and the arrow and whatever it is lodged into, blows to smithereens. (Explosive Shot)
  • Herbalist: Adjusting the Farstrider nature magic as well as some minor teachings from one of the Kaldorei she befriended in the past, Zaeli is capable of growing plants and absorbing nutrients from her direct surroundings, provived they are alive, to heal herself.
