|}Yvakara Lifebringer was a 87-year-old Tauren Death Knight. She is played by Jonoth.

History

Yvakara was born amongst the Bloodhoof tribe. As a youth, she saw firsthand the devastation of her race though the return of many wounded tauren, decimated by the Centaur of the plains. She decided early on that it was her responsibility to tend to these warriors who braved the perilous terrain. As she grew older, she improved her skills as a nurse, and she assisted as a midwife and oftentimes surrogate mother to the new tauren. Despite her efforts, the Bloodhoof clan continued to dwindle, but Yvakara refused to give up hope that the tauren would one day recover. Her relentless love and abilities earned her the last name 'Lifebringer'.

While still in her early years, she took a husband named Swazii Kodostalker, who would die very shortly afterward at the hands of the Centaur, but not before she bore him a son named Tyrrus. Yvakara did the best she could, while still being a pillar of strength for the mothers and children of the tribe. Tyrrus grew to be a strong and capable warrior, hoping to have the strength to destroy the Centaur menace that had taken his father and many of his kind. He would take the last name 'Stoneblade' after the heavy stone sword he wielded.

In time, the Bloodhoof Clan would eventually meet the Orcs under the leadership of Thrall. Tyrrus joined the orcs in fighting the Burning Legion in the Third War at the Battle of Mount Hyjal, and Yvakara followed to ensure the safety of her son. During the battle, Tyrrus was nearly killed when Archimonde tore his way through the orc forces, but Yvakara picked up his sword and watched over him, using her skills to stop his bleeding until Jaina could teleport the surviving fighters away.

Back home, the tauren were finally establishing a home thanks to the help of the orcs, who helped drive out the Centaurs. Yvakara would return to her nurse and midwife duties and settle in Bloodhoof Village with her son, who was quite bitter at the injuries he sustained in the Third War. One night, he overheard some soldier talking about a resistance group called the Argent Dawn, who were battling the Scourge in the Eastern Plaguelands. Tired of being amongst the wounded, he traveled north, leaving a letter for his mother apologizing for not saying goodbye and telling her this was a journey he must take alone. He travelled to Ratchet where he used his brutish size to force a vessel to travel to the Eastern Plaguelands. His desire to be what he once was led him to Acherus, where he was unprepared to fight and quickly fell to the Scourge. He was soon transformed into a Death Knight.

Back home, Yvakara worried for her son, and after reading the letter, traveled in pursuit of him, armed with his blade from the war. She travelled to Ratchet, where she was informed by the locals that a tauren who looked like her description of her son had sought passage to the Eastern Plaguelands. One brave crew offered to take her to the coast, but no further, and would turn back as soon as she reached land. When she arrived Acherus, she was shocked to find her son as one of the Scourge. Trying to reason with him, she pleaded for him to return to their home, but he was already lost. She made the hard decision to end his life and free him of Scourge's control over him, but not before taking a severe beating at his hands. She was killed, body captured, and forced into service as a Death Knight, eventually assigned to the invasion of Light's Hope Chapel.

During the Battle for Light's Hope Chapel, Yvakara was freed of the influence of the Lich King and joined the Knights of the Ebon Blade in capturing Acherus. Afterwards, Yvakara embarked on her current journey home, hoping to retake the pieces of her old life and worrying whether her people could accept her again after what she has become. She joined up with fellow Death Knight Lok'magrosh, becoming a part of the Stormshade Clan. Arriving in Mulgore and being back around her own culture, she had her runeblade forged into a traditional Tauren halberd, and now serves as a mother and leader of her clan.

Death

Assisting the Stormshade Clan in Outland against Lohn'kosh, a Shaman seeking control over the elements, Yvakara was mortally wounded by a demonic blademaster. She managed to help the clan best their foe before finally succumbing to her injuries.

Personality

Alignment: Neutral Good

Yvakara is very reserved and quiet, but has a strong sense of pride in her race. She is relearning her former craft as a nurse, but at times can lack her former warmth due to her experiences in the services of the Scourge. She is forcing herself to reintegrate with much difficulty, finding things such as civilian clothes to be silly and embarrasing, preferring her armor and blade. She can be very solemn most of the time, still coming to grips with her past and her current undead state. Despite this, she is quick to defend those who need her help, and is a loyal and motherly friend.

Appearance

  • Scale/Height: 8'5"
  • Weight: 610 lbs
  • Hair: Gray
  • Eyes: Glowing Blue

For a long time after becoming a Death Knight, Yvakara was most comfortable in their standard issue armor. She currently can be most often seen wearing either blood red armor or more tradition Tauren-styled leather armor, and a black hat with the brim down over her glowing eyes.

Other: Yvakara's dark gray hair is rough and course, and her face, even when expressing happiness, seems worn and tired. Her face is adorned with white war paint along her snout. She carries a large halberd, which was made using her runeblade from her service as a Death Knight.

Skills and Abilities

Yvakara spent most of her life as a nurse and midwife, so while gaining strength and stamina as a Death Knight, her fighting consists of very typical blood Death Knight abilities. Her first aid skills, however, are very good, able to take care of the injured and get them to recover in a matter of days.
