Personality

Alignment: Neutral Good

The kal'dorei comes across to most people as a friendly wanderer, bearing little if any ill-will to others unless they happen to pose a threat to nature or its allies. He tends to be reserved, calm, and cool unless provoked, in most situations. When his great patience is exhausted, Wode lashes out with unbridle fury at the offender, employing the gifts given to him by the wilderness in surprising force.

History

Born in Ashenvale, a few hundred years before the Exile of the High Elves, Wode was brought up during a time of great joy for his people. After the years of success in rebuilding their culture and further becoming one with the forces of nature, the night elves happily celebrated any child who was born during the age of peacefulness. The couple who saw him into Azeroth were glad to place their war-torn past behind them to raise their son with all the compassion and care they could afford.

The father, Heort Oakenhearth, chose to become a druid after the order's formation following the creation of the World Tree. Tesyll Stillpool, his mother, was a priestess and healer who met his father on the field of battle during the War of the Ancients. Wode was raised to respect nature as the majority of kal'dorei do, eventually entering the Cenarion Circle alongside Heort, provided support from his mother as well.

Considered an adult by the time that tensions escalated with those who would become the high elves, he bore little love for his off-kilter kin, considering them fools. Still young at the time, the druid often spoke harshly in the arguments that frequently erupted between the two factions. He was less than concerned when their misled kin were finally exiled, glad to be rid of them. Despite this streak of haughtiness, his teachers knew such emotion could be shaped into passion for his vocation in the years to come.

Choosing to enter the dream at the side of his father and fellow druids, he traveled to a barrow den in the dense tangle of Ahenvale and slumbered for centuries. During his supernatural rest, Wode learned the way to channel his energy into service for the natural forces around him. He found how to remain tranquil and find balance, becoming adept at the skills of restoration and healing. When the druid emerged from the Dream, he was more than ready and willing to assist his people and their allies against the dread Burning Legion. The training that had taken thousands of years afforded him the capabilities of a an excellent healer, as he provided support for those that fought at Mount Hyjal.

Rather than return to the dream with the handful that accompanied the Shan'do Storm rage (including his father), Wode chose to remain in the waking world in order to heal the damage that it suffered during their absence. Becoming involved in several struggles along the border of Ashenvale, he fought back the orc forces in Warsong Gulch until the opportunity to join the circle in Outland presented itself. Helping the Cenarion expedition in any way he could, his service on the broken world was eventually unneeded, allowing him to return to Azeroth.

After his moment of peace was broken by the Scourge's invasion, the druid was forced back into conflict. Wode lent aid to the Alliance forces as they launched a counter-strike against the Scourge, providing his skills to the Expedition throughout the northern-most continent until the conflict drew to a close. Now free of conflict for the time being, Wode seeks ways to improve himself and become closer to Azeroth and all its natural splendors, meeting a variety of individuals in his attempt at completing his personal quest.
