Appearance

Vollis rarely wears his real armor. Instead, he is most commonly seen wearing some elegant form of clothing. The most common out of those being a baggy silk shirt with tight black pants. His clothes also seem to be constantly new, somehow not a speck of dirt is usually on them. However, unlike most people Vollis is not trying to impress anyone with these clothes, it is merely his sense of style.

Other: For his size, Vollis surprisingly always seems to have a straight back. With this, it is evident that he is in relatively prime condition for his age, and it shows. Vollis also walks with a sort of serene grace, taking each step with a flow. Vollis also finds himself talking to no one often, for his own comfort. His voice is not loud, but it seems to draw people's attention anyway. A flaw in his voice though is that his emotions support it very strongly. Based on how he is feeling his pitch can change drastically. When he is not feeling anything strongly however, his voice is very sharp and precise being very clear to the ears. A sort of hobby that he has come to love is fishing. Along with this he also has taken a liking to cats, and carries one around with him almost everywhere he goes.

Personality

Vollis is a very bright and charismatic person. He is very social, and confronts people with a warm and open heart. He also has a very cool and calm attitude, not many things being able to phase him. For some odd reason Vollis also trusts almost anyone by their word. Another good trait Vollis has though is his romantic attitude. With almost any Draenei woman Vollis attempts to "make a move", and enjoys doing so. It is also said that Vollis has a strong voice or that he is a good leader. Most of what he says has some meaning, and Vollis rarely wastes his words. He also has seemed to take a liking to the sun, being more alive and functioning when it is shining. Vollis does not fear much, except for events that have already happened.

History

Vindicator Nabaar and Vindicator Xaen; the two who created the Paladin that came to be known as The Beacon. Vollis was born into a very holy family, his grandfather an Arch Anchorite, his father a Vindicator, his mother a Vindicator, and his sister an Anchorite. With this, much was expected from him. At the age of five Vollis began to train as a Vindicator from his father. However, with both of his parents being active in the aid of the Draenei they were away for large amounts of time. Even though his father trained Vollis as much as he could, he knew that he could not maintain a constant training schedule, and decided that it would be best if his son went under someone else's training. That is when Vollis met Vindicator Nalarian. She was a strong, and wise warrior, but her days on the field had just recently passed, and she needed a new goal in her life. So Vollis continued to train as he grew under, but under Nalarian, and not his father.

As time went on Vollis' power continued to slowly increase. As his friends began to drop out of their training to become Vindicators because they could not deal with their training, Vollis continued on with a possitive outlook. Vollis' training had not come at a better time either, for the Draenei ship Oshu'gun was at a serene peace, and problems were scarce. With little to no time for himself however, Vollis began to miss his family. He had not heard from them in years, and he was growing curious as to what was going on in their lives. As training went on, and paths were exposed to him, Vollis then decided to go down the Holy path, seeing all of the help that the healing of his family had done.

Eventually the Oshu'gon landed, on a planet called Draenor. Vollis was extremely happy that he wouldn't have to be restricted to the limits of a ship anymore, and he could enjoy the real nature of things. In addition, Vollis was reunited with his family for some time as they settled. Thinking smart, the family on went with a small group of Draenei so their game would be plentiful and they would not run out of resources for some time. Vollis was filled with joy, but Nalarian viewed it as a bad thing. She knew that with his family Vollis could never train to become the ultimate warrior that she expected, and after only days Vollis was forced to separate from them once more. Nalarian lead Vollis into the hills and mountains of Nagrand, and there is where they continued to train.

After some time, problems arose. The Orcs began to become enraged. As soon as Vollis realized what was going on he knew that he had to go help his family. While in the middle of training, Vollis attempted to leave the area that Nalarian and Vollis had called home for so many years. Nalarian stepped infront of him, and told him that his training must continue and he was not ready to do any help yet. Vollis had trained for hundreds of years, and knew that he was ready, and he wouldn't let anything stop him from helping his family. However, as he charged at Nalarian she slide to the side with amazing agility, and with the tip of her foot she tripped Vollis down onto the ground with incredible force. As he fell he let out a yell of anger, and breathed in and out deeply. Knowing that the Orc threat had just begun, Vollis slowly arose to look Nalarian in the eyes before he picked up his sword and shield and continued training.

Only monthes later, the Orc threat was evident around most parts of Draenor. Nalarian finally gave Vollis the signal, and with her he traveled back to the original place that he called home. He seemed to arrive just in time because as he climbed over the last hill behind his village he saw a horde of Orcs rushing down towards his village. Vollis stared in horror, as he slid down the hill as fast as he could to get to his village. Unfortunately as he arrived the Orcs were already inside. They tore through the village, destroying everything in their pathes. Nalarian and Vollis did as much as they could as they neared Vollis' original home, but it seemed they were just too late. As they ran inside they saw Vollis' grandfather lieing dead on the floor; his head only held on by a thin piece of flesh. Vollis cried out in anger, as he rushed up to the second story of his house. He heard clashes, and violent spells above as he neared the top. Finally he came up to see several green Orc bodies laying on the floor, with his sister slumped against the wall. Vollis ran over, examining her body and questioning her as to where his parents were. As she began to tell him, blood gushed out of her mouth, and her body finally fell over, her blue eyes still shining, as she lied still against the hard floor. Vollis slammed his fist down as he rushed out of the house, Nalarian close behind him. As they ran down a pathway they saw a group of Orcs bursting down to them with breakneck speeds. They spun around, moving back in the direction they came. Vollis ran with all of his might, but Nalarian averted down to a different path causing Vollis to stop short and follow her.

As they ran down they saw Draenei in a home being destroyed. They looked off of the top floor, crying out to Vollis and Nalarian. Nalarian nodded to Vollis as he looked to her, and he jetted up into the building as fast as he could. Entering the room, he saw a large Orc right off the bat. He spun his hammer over his head furiously as the Orc charged at him, and then he spun it right into the side of the Orc's temple, sending him to the ground. Vollis dashed up the ramp only to receive an axe into his nose, slicing off a bit of flesh. Vollis snarled, ramming the hammer right up into the jaw of an Orc standing above him, causing the body to topple down the ramp. Vollis narrowly avoided the corpse as he continued into the home. He saw the family huddled in a corner of the room, an Orc looming over them. The Orc swung his axe up, getting ready to swing it down onto the head of the young Draenei woman, and as he did Vollis approached from behind. Vollis gripped the axe, causing the Orc to spin around and send a kick to his gut. Vollis felt his grip on his hammer loosen as it dropped to the ground. Vollis bared his teeth seeing the Orc charging forward. He spun to the side and as he did he gripped the back of the Orc, slamming him into the hard wall of the building, blood pouring down the wall as the Orc fell. Vollis motioned the woman and her son to follow, dashing down the ramp and out of the house. As he ran out he saw Nalarian and several Draenei with her. Vollis gave her a questioning look, but Nalarian ran off with the group following her. Vollis moved to the back of the group, Nalarian and Vollis fending off Orcs as they ran. Finally they approached their intended target; Velen watching everyone as the able bodied carried the wounded over the large hills. As Vollis's group proceeded, he saw Nalarian slam down onto the ground. He ran over, only to see that her face was still, and blood was gushing out from her armor. He was too busy paying attention to the group that he did not notice how bad of a condition she was in. He snarled, the rest of the group moving closer to Velen with whatever hope they had left. As they marched over the hills he saw the woman he had saved earlier. She nodded to him, smiling, then spoke to him. "You are truly a Beacon of Hope for our people..." Vollis simply thanked her as they entered the area known as Zangarmarsh.

After arriving at his new home, Vollis was confused and frustrated. After his years of training, he had no idea what to do, and he was again on a new different terrain, with no real home. He helped those that he could, but Zangarmarsh was calm for some time. He then decided that he would pick up fishing as a pass time, and he felt good doing it. With only so much training he could do on his own, Vollis fished for the remainder of the time. Day in and day out he would train and fish, until eventually the Blood Elves took the Tempest Keep. Aware that he could be used, Vollis gripped Nalarian's hammer which he had kept, and went to aid his allies in taking back their rightful place. To the Draenei's suprise, the Blood Elves were amazingly cunning. They managed to push the Draenei back to only a section of the Tempest Keep, named the Exodar. Vollis ran onto the ship with the others, and all seemed to be relativly ok. But as they flew off, something was obviously wrong with their engine and they began to descend into a crash landing slowly. A crash landing into a new world, called Azeroth.

Now, Vollis lives a content life aiding the Alliance in Northrend with the scourge and in his free time surveying what these new lands have to offer. Vollis still wonders what may have happened to his parents, and if they may still be alive. With the actions that have happened on Draenor though, Vollis has pursued the path of Retribution and hopes to help restore the Draeneis' rightful power in the future. For now though, he will continue to live his small life, and aid his new allies in any way that he can.
