Appearance

Usual Garments/Armour: Often times found in large robes, with a large jacket. A sword sheathed on her hip or over her back, sometimes a glaive equipped as well. She usually wears sandals, and the Ridaken crest on her necklace. She also hides her face using a mask similar to the one she had an affair with. The mask is wooden, engraved, painted and usually donned with a matching hooded cloak designed from elven history. Under such large cloaks she is known to have form fitting leathers ideal for fighting. Her hair is long and is usually tied up or braided to keep from getting in her way during battle.

Other: Rather pretty, besides her undead voice, her skin tends to be paler than it was in life giving her hair the look of old blood when it falls from its place. She's smaller in bust as well giving her better mobility than other female swordsmen. She is also a bit short and light, making her quick but easy to send flying.

Personality

Before her death she was slightly more upbeat than she stands currently, however her mind was long dulled to the death she had been around. She took her job very seriously which she referred to as 'the business'. Currently she concerns herself more with staying among the realm of the living, and has become more of a meticulous planner choosing to remain steps ahead with options, as opposed to slashing away at her opponents like before. She keeps to herself, but gives off a maternal vibe to those she trusts. She observes, without wanting too much attention to herself and one who still loves to fight. This has left her a bit twisted, and callous.

History

Vivalyn was born in Murder row to group of thieves, her parents were two elves who lusted for each other. They had no desire to raise a family, nor did they wish for the well being of their daughter. Through observation and training, the young elf helped them in their pursuits. Often times posing as a helpless child and decoy, this worked for quite sometime until one of the people they tricked outside in Eversong decided to take their rage out on the child. Vivalyn ( who was still unaware if her parents were protecting their child or their cash cow ) was taken back by how they defended her. The incident resulted in the death of her father, and she herself killing the attacker with a lucky stab to the neck with her dagger. The moment stayed with her and disturbed her sleep, dreams of standing alone with blood freckles woke her up often.

As she and her mother fled through the forest, they hid from place to place even hiding out in some human cities to escape their pursuers. While they traveled her mother's lust for dangerous things had sobered up and she focused more on her daughter. She trained her in basic methods with a sword, before remaining with a group of elves they came across in their travels. At first the group appeared to be a group of nomad peasants who never asked questions about the history of who came to their group, but as they became closer with their members they realized that they completed assassination contracts for coin. Over time Vivalyn worked with them and took on contracts to support herself and her mother. Life went on like this for centuries. She became respected among her peers and returned to Silvermoon with a nice sum of gold, and overwhelming confidence. It was there she met her Husband Keelik and the Ridaken Clan. Their occupations were similar and as they were wed, she continued her practices with better swordsmen of the clan improving her skill further. She gave birth to three children and looked forward to seeing them grow. She continued taking contracts for the family and was deployed on a long term mission that would take several years to finish. During this time she met a charismatic nationalist, with a criminal background. His name was Sanguis Sunfire, their were drawn to each other and brought a child into the world. This child didn't deserve to be raised by either parent, with destinies that traveled submerged in blood. Vivalyn was also married and refused to return with the child and ultimately shame them. She left the child to be raised with her cousin Amasa and returned to her family after completing the mission. She lived as if nothing had happened from then on.

During the scourge attack, Vivalyn fought back alongside her family and became a bit twisted watching her family and allies die beside her. Some even raising up after, and attacking. The battle went far into the evening before she became dangerously fatigued. She should have withdrew, yet remained a puppet to rage, and insanity. While being mauled and torn she swung her blade screaming the names that had fallen, until she could no longer breathe. Her tenacity was noted and she was resurrected years later on a whim to be a Death Knight in the battles proceeding the Lich King's return. She fought endlessly for the Lich King until she was freed. Afterwards she wondered aimlessly regaining her memories and a grip over her soul. She tried to quench her thirst for killing and calm it to a controllable level. In her confusion she fought fellow knights and enemies alike. When she regathered herself she made amends with the Ebon Blade and decided to return to her family. When she returned she found her husband Keelik had been away on an extended mission which left her eldest daughter Vyne in charge. Vyne did the best she could but was still too young and inexperienced, or at least that is what Vivalyn felt. She hesitantly intervened, and resumed the more difficult contracts for the family. After the Clan stabilized, Vivalyn began chasing her own pursuits of power and enlightenment.

She found out her son she had during her affair had survived the attack on Silvermoon and was even a competent swords-elf. She wished to train him, but their personalities were different, her child was no where near as cold as she was. His persistence of getting in her way, had caused her to attempt to forcefully subdue him into her way of thinking. This began a chain of crimes against noble families, Magisters, The Ebon Blade, and The Argent Crusade. Her allies became live shields as most of them died during attacks intended for her. Her actions and relation to the Ridaken clan made her family targeted as traitors. She pursued a weapon that gave her strength but withered and deteriorated her immortal body. Weakened and unable to reverse its effects she was killed by those closest to her. Her daughter, Her pupil, and others who were tainted by her actions. In her dementia she believed that bringing those after her, would pull them away from her family who already didn't have a great reputation to begin with. She was buried and placed under guard deep within the Ridaken compound.

After the Cataclysm, those seeking items Vivalyn was very familiar with decided to storm the Ridaken compound and take her body. She was intended to be resurrected and interrogated for all the information she knew while working with different people pursuing the items in question. They didn't intend on her returning withered and weakened and left her with Kurin to try to "Make her useful" and bring her to speed on the events she missed. Vivalyn had no intention of being a tool, and didn't agree with the plan she was brought back for but was thankful for it. She decided to play along until she could find a way to fix her broken body.

Skills and Abilities

Swordsmanship: Training with the sword a majority of her life, has led her to practice with unorthodox finesse in her strikes. She specializes in quick draws and slashes, reinforced with Death Knight abilities ( such as Blood Strike ).

Silent Kill: As an assassin, she knows how to puncture a vital organ, killing the opponent without alerting others. She also has limited tracking and training in silent movement, although this is effected by her dulled sense of touch.

Blood Daggers: Biting her tongue she spits old blood which she freezes into sharp projectiles. Has been known to cause the daggers to boil once landing inside the target.

Elven Agilty: Being such a small and nimble frame she can move quickly, but it doesn't take much to knock her back. [[Category:Death Knight||
