Personality

Varyis is often described as an elf with a fuse of questionable length, and a soft side somewhere in there. Sometimes, she seems uncaring, other times, she seems rather…distanced as she is often thinking of the events that have happened throughout the day, and forming a to-do list for the next day, and that is often when it is easiest to anger her. When she is angered, often as that may unsurprisingly happen, you either have the most adorable tantrum of all time, nine times out of ten, or something that is actually potentially deadly, one time out of ten. If anyone that knew her were asked to describe her, she'd likely be that one elf that tries to be organized as long as you don't interrupt her when she's making said to-do list.

History

Varyisellia Sunspeaker was born to a scholar mother and a soldier father with a brother 85 years older than her. She lived a mostly typical childhood. Almost typical, with things such as her mother deciding to make her brother, Aenstus, accompany the father while he was off doing soldierly things. Varyis herself sometimes tagged along to learn a thing or two from them, sometimes following Aenstus around even after their father returned home. It was during one of these that she witnessed her brother meet his future first significant other, Adelithe Skyfire. Vary, being the typical younger sibling she was, frequently teased him about it, but that quickly stopped once her brother and the woman actually began seeing each other, with Varyis eventually coming to see Adelithe as somewhat of an older sister. Eventually the First War came and went, and Miss Skyfire departed, supposedly to fight in it.

As Varyis was growing older, she was exhibiting a budding desire to join the Farstriders, and join them she did! After a heck-load of training, of course. During this period, Varyis learnt how not to be a complete ditz when handling a bow, how not to be a ditz with weaponry, how to conceal yourself in the environment, and how to track targets down. Just in time for the Second War, too. Wherein the Woods were set aflame, and the High Elves killed many orcs as a result, in retribution. At the wars end, though, despite being young as all Fel, Varyis was quite ready to lay down arms, retire, and just go back home to her family. Only one war and already retiring? Silly elf.

What little of one she had when she returned. Family problems had embroiled the household, which was soon fractured in twain by the end of her mother's marriage to her father. Thankfully, though, her father won custody of both elves. What a relief! Wait, there is no relief when the case is settled the day that the Fall of Silvermoon occurred. Which ended in only one casualty for the family. Varyis' father perished that day attempting to get his children to safety.

Left with the ruins of a home, Varyis and Aenstus slowly began to pick up the pieces of their lives. A painstaking task that was muddled by the pains of the arcane addiction that though dulled a bit by both elves choosing not to rely upon the magic as much as others, was still quite significant. Eventually, all just broiled down to not becoming wretched with their attempts to dull their pains. It is quite certain that brother and sister were both thrilled when the supposed 'cure' that the Fel was seen as was introduced. Both became blood elves from then on forth, green eyes and all.

Eventually, Varyis hit the road and fell in with some folks trying to be goody two-shoers called Dawn's Reach. She served faithfully with them till they disbanded. To this day, she still believes the head of the organization, Krest Fairstar, to be the biggest dumbass there was.

After that fiasco and a -ton- of freelance work, Varyis bought a small apartment in Silvermoon and tried her best to settle down, but a lot of things from the past of her family caught up to her in the time after the Shattering.

First, she found out she had a half-sister (on her father's side, obviously.) Then her brother and Adelithe met each other (again) and got back together. It was around this time that Varyis found out the real reason why Adelithe had left thirty years ago, or rather, met the aforementioned reason. Aenstus had sired a bastard son, Ereneas. As if to add more icing on the already sappy cake, Adelithe was also pregnant with twins.

Varyis had tried to take this entire influx of revelations and truths, and the fact that she had been an aunt without knowing it for the past thirty years as best as she could, and believe it or not, she took them extremely well.

Until her half-sister met her untimely death at the hands of a stranger that had gone mad, and her brother meeting a similar fate. For what reason, she possibly couldn't fathom. Nonetheless, she was left with Adelithe, whom had fallen pregnant with twins. Varyis took care of her for the duration of her pregnancy. The woman gave birth to two healthy baby girls, which elated Varyis. She had nieces, yay! Well, she was happy. For a time. Adelithe had fallen very ill following the ordeal of squeezing the kiddies out, and passed away 3 days afterward, on the morning of November 5th.

Varyis cares for those infants to this day.
