History

Valeriya wishes to not remember her past. The Burning Legion had chased her parents out of Argus. She was born only knowing flight. The planet hopping Draenei lifestyle was making her uneasy.

Valeriya had to learn how to defend herself from others who were generally larger than her. She never had much of a bond with the Light and Naaru, aside from cultural respect for it. Valeriya quickly learned that what she lacked in wisdom and strength, she could make up with cunning and speed. The threat of the Burning Legion was always looming around them.

After years of running, the Draenei found a planet that they could settle on for awhile. This planet was called Draenor. There were already races occupying it, the largest population being Orcs. For hundreds of years the Draenei saw peace. Here on Draenor, Vakeriya even got her first glimpse of shamanism, which struck her curiosity, yet she never put in the time to study it.

Gul'dan and a group of Orcs drank Mannoroth's blood and became corrupted. This lead to a massacre of Draenei, which left a significant mark on their population, including Valeriya's parents. In desperation, the remaining Draenei fled to Zangarmarsh and continued to live in fear.

Valeriya spent her time in Zangarmarsh studying Shamanism, which Nobundo the Broken had began to master. She felt like she had a stronger connection to the Naaru by communicating through nature, but she was still very weak in the practice of shamanism.

The time came when the remaining Draenei found out about Tempest Keep. In desperation, Valeriya and the rest of the Draenei stormed the keep that was controlled by the Blood Elves. The Draenei managed to take the Exodar and flee, however not all went as planned when they found that the engine was sabotaged, leaving the Draenei to crash on Azeroth.

Once again, Valeriya was lucky to have survived this long. For her first few years on Azeroth, she was determined to learn more on shamanism. The furbolgs in the area of the crash also knew shamanism, which they taught some Draenei. Valeriya was far enough along at this point that she was able to practice on her own.

Valeriya now travels around the world of Azeroth with high hopes for the longevity of the planet. She sees the strength of the Alliance and the Horde, and would love nothing more than the assimilation of the two at some point in time.
