Appearance

He can be seen wearing robes when he thinks that other people would accept him more if he did. For example in Silvermoon with higher up Elves he doesn't wants to show up in rags or in class he should be dressed accordingly. But he prefers normal clothes with which he won't have to worry about if they get dirty or not, and in which he can move more freely.

Other: Valerius unlike most Mages can be seen carrying a sword around from time to time, a one-handed Blood Elven designed sword in a sheath attached to his belt.

Personality

Valerius is a real ladies-man(/Elf), to them he is quite submissive and he would do anything to please a to him good-looking female. Yet he can be quite rebellious and rude to the people he doesn't likes, but he'd try to do his best to be nice to the people he does like.

History

Like most High Elves Valerius was born in Quel'Thalas, his mother a Ranger and his father a Magister. His mother as a Ranger didn't have too much time to be with Valerius, since she was almost always busy doing her job. So Valerius was usually either alone with his slightly older sister or with his father, thus he learned a lot from his father and also became a Mage. Being a student he took the biggest liking to arcane and fire, he was also taught how to handle ice but it wasn't really his thing.

As usual his mother was busy defending their homelands when the Scourge invasion began, she was at one of the last lines of defence and got forced to fall back. His father as the good father he was wanted to protect his children, Valerius and his sister. His daughter was also a Mage so they weren't completely defenceless but against the amount of Scourge present they wouldn't stand a chance, thus he had to make his children able to escape. Upon doing this he got the attention of too many Scourge soldiers and wasn't able to save his own life but he was able to save both his children.

After the invasion Valerius and his sister reunited with their mother, surprised to see she was still alive. They both took other mentors then their father and continued their Mage training, still having a lot to learn about becoming real Magisters. On a day a Undead made Valerius attack some Scourge soldiers which he said he'd reward Valerius with half a gold coin for this and a full gold coin if he did more. But actually this was just to weaken Valerius so that it'd be easier to fill his head with words of Shadow and not have him resist much against this. He didn't die from this as it wasn't intended to kill him, but to make him obey when needed and to increase his disliking to the Light. He continues to study and he occasionally makes clothes which is another thing his father learned him, so that he can earn himself some money when needed or just to make something new to wear for himself.
