The wiki has become a little obsession of mine; I check the recent changes and a number of other special pages throughout the day. I noted that you were trying to get your signature and the timestamp to show up in your comment. Using ~~~~ will do this for you automatically. It's a fairly simple signature (and nothing like what I am using), but it does the job!
