Gear

A complex mix of leathers, chain and fur armour, coated in charms and trinkets. Though he would never admit it, the totemic charms are more than simple aids in shamanic magic. Tor is deeply attached to these small items due to sentiment. In combat, his most used weapon is a large two handed axe forged in Durotar. During ceremonial events or communions with the spirits, he wears the traditional wolf head of Orcish shamans.

Appearance

Rapidly approaching old age, Tor is beginning to feel the burn in his joints and the creak in his bones. His dark, slightly grey-green skin has been hardened by a life in the sun, and is heavily scarred and marked. His dark blue eyes are commonly set in a stern, vaguely questioning look, as if asking “Think carefully, child.” Otherwise, his build is standard for an Orc his age, though possibly a touch more lean than most.

Personality

Allignement: Chaotic Good

Tor is a deeply personal Orc, more likely to share his secrets with a spirit or elemental than another member of the Horde, or even another Orc. The ageing Orc has learnt when to be silent, letting others speak until the moment is right for a few choice words. Thanks to his shamanic training, his connections to the earth and wind are far closer than to any town or city, and he never says within the confines of civilization for long. Though he has sworn his allegiance to the New Horde under Thrall, he maintains a number of neutral connections throughout Azeroth, and Draenor. A capable fighter, he suffers from the same rages as any Orc, even when tempered by his training. Thanks to this, he will avoid combat when possible, only resorting to bloodshed when it is the last option, or lose himself to the remaining shreds of Fel that still taints the green skinned Orcs.

History

Born on Draenor to the Frostwolf Clan, Tor grew up in the fields of Nargrand during the Orcish war with the Draenei. As the new Warlock magics of Gul'Dan and his followers corrupted the land, and people of Draenor, the Frostwolves slowly became more and more isolated, avoiding the worst of the demonic taint. After his clan fled to Azeroth in the wake of the creation of Old Horde, Tor, who had trained as a tracker and beast hunter for most of his life, took little part in the First, or Second Wars, instead remaining in exile with his people. It was in the mountains of Azeroth that he found his true calling as a Shaman. The Elements of Azeroth, unlike those of his native Draenor called out to the Orc, and under the tutelage of his Clan, Tor quickly grew into a powerful Shaman. As Thrall reformed the Horde in the model of the older, shamanic Orcish culture, Tor, now an experienced Shaman was quick to lend his support, doing his duty to the new chieftain of his Clan in the early days of Orgrimmar. Though he did not take part in the major wars with the Alliance, he has been involved in a number of Skirmishes in the building tensions of modern Azeroth. His skills have been put to good use, more often used in repairing some of the damage of the growing Chaos than fighting the battles directly. Still, the old Orc has gained some new scars. There are more to come.
