Personality

Alignment: Lawful Good

Telaraa is a deeply emotional person, though the numerous years have allowed her to temper and control those emotions. When she loves, she loves with all her heart, and on the rare occasion she is enraged or distraught, she is with a fury that would make even the Legion hesitate. Most of the time, however, Telaraa's demeanor is a calm and observing one. She takes all of life in, preferring to enjoy what she can, and hope for the future.

Telaraa is a kind soul, willing to give almost anything of herself in order to help another. Her cloak. Her robes. Even her weapon would be entirely reasonable to give if she thought the need of the other was more than her own. She seeks to balance herself in this, following the Tenants of the Holy Light to her own understanding.

She hates none, pitying any who find themselves opposite herself on the battlefield with no other option than to fight. This is not out of confidence, but out of perspective. She sees every demon and warlock as one who has been misled and corrupted, and every undead or necromancer as misguided or lost. Rarely will she raise her blade with the intent to slay, though when she does, she tries to do so painlessly for her foe, and will utter a prayer for them upon their death.

She sees the Horde as it is now as a different one than that which set out to exterminate her people. She does not fear these Orcs, and would very much prefer peace to the building war between their people, but she will slay them as any other foe if pushed far enough. What she truly desires is unity. For their people to come together in the looming face of the Legion.

History

Telaraa remembers Argus. She remembers Mac'Aree, the city where she grew up. She was, back then, not a warrior, or even a trader, but a scholar. She was still a student, then, even in her adulthood. She sought the secrets of the universe, and she almost sold her soul for them.

When Velen began to gather others to flee the planet, she was reluctant. It was only due to her closeness with another few of the then-eredar that she followed them to the peaks, to flee with these "Naaru". She was intrigued, and she trusted Velen's judgment above that of the other three elders.

Telaraa's opinion was solidified when she laid eyes on the demonic host. Her family, friends, even former lovers were all like them now. Man'ari. Only when they had escaped, and the gravity of their situation had truly taken hold; only then did she weep.

The millennia between Argus and Draenor were a time of reflection for Telaraa. She leapt to study this new philosophy, this "Light" that K'ure spoke of, even if it didn't really "speak" so much as it "communed" with them. When addressed, she was enthralled.

She dove into her studies of the Light with a vigor she hadn't even previously known herself to possess. It gave her something to hope for, something to believe in. Even as the Legion remained at their heels, it gave her solace and calmed her fears.

By the time they had arrived on Draenor, she was someone almost utterly unrecognizable. She was a servant of the Light. She was a guardian; one with the power and the knowledge to defend her people. It was an inspiring feeling. She settled into life in Shattrath, joining the ranks of their peacekeepers and doing all she could to follow the Tenants. It was a quiet time in her life, and until the war, she'd never even seen an Orc up close.

During the war, she'd often pray to not have to see an Orc up close. She fought, often joining units and raids with the intent of lending support. She shed quite a bit of Orc blood in that war, and still has the numerous scars to attest to it.

In the waning days, she was not one of those who stayed behind when Shattrath fell. She went with her kin, into Zangarmarsh, to hide. She believed a time would come when the Draenei would be able to cease hiding. She didn't know when it might be, but she believed, and eventually the time came.

After the end of the world, she practically leapt at the chance to retake part of Tempest Keep for her people, and flee once again. The next world, she vowed to herself, would be one she would protect with all her being. When the Exodar crashed upon Azeroth, she began to work toward that goal.

She was at the final battle of the Sunwell, and even participated in the campaign against the Lich King. Now, without a war to fight in, she wanders, seeking to spread the blessings of the Light, and work towards a peace in the calm before the inevitable onslaught of demonic forces. She believed it would only be a matter of time before the Burning Legion makes a second attempt at taking Azeroth, and she intends to stand with its champions when that happens, with no fear of dying in the process.
