Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: Wears a basic linen tunic and cuffs, with comparatively luxurious silken leggings. He wears soft leather boots, designed for comfort during short travel. All of his clothes are of Night Elven make and offer comfort and flexibility over protection against attacks, either magical, physical or otherwise. His clothes often become worn and dirty and give him a somewhat drab appearance, especially for a Kaldorei.

Other: He has a starkly contrasting physique to the large majority of his kind. His long periods of stationary activity have left him with a much more skinny body than most of his kind, though his natural physique and times as a Druid give him adequate phsyical attributes.

He is blind in his right eye and has a long vertical section of scar tissue from his forehead to his jaw.

Personality

Prodigally intelligent and naturally philosophical, Teirs is usually in deep thought. A very critical, perspicacious and analytical mind leaves him constantly surveying and, combined with his curiosity, gives him a thoughtful and inquisitive personality. His vast intelligence has led him to be both elitist and a perfectionist, which not only applies to himself, but the actions and products of others.

His experiments with Shadow magic have warped his mind. Though the magic itself has had no effect on him, the moral and philosophical thoughts caused by the drastic change has led him to be more critical, mysterious and elusive. He fancies himself as an amateur (but brilliant) psychologist and often probes acquaintances about their thoughts and feelings.

His resurrection caused him to often suffer from depression. Shrinking away from society and social interaction and leaving himself with only his own thoughts, the negative attributes of his personality are accentuated during these darker times.

History

Teirs was born a short time before the Silithid's attack on Southern Kalimdor to a Priestess and Druid. He was initially raised in the area surrounding Mount Hyjal. His father, only briefly leaving the Dream of Creation, was absent for almost all of Teirs' life. Fortunately, his mother looked after him with immense love and care, guiding him through his infantile, child and adolescent life. His mother did not fight in the War, keeping her usual duties in place of those who left to fight, and thus had more time to spend with her child.

Upon reaching physical maturity, Teir's natural inclination was to follow his father's path and train in Druidism. After but a few years, a mere blink of an eye for an immortal such as himself, he found himself a tutor, a Shan'do. Teirs was not prodigal or immensely talented in Druidic magic but his skill in melee combat with a staff grew rapidly as well as his theoretical mind; on combat, the Balance, the natural world and other topics that did not concern druidism.

Quickly progressing in his skill, Teir made his own way in to the Emerald dream. Laying in slumber for close to nine hundred years, Teir learned much of the natural world and its philosophical and theoretical teachings. Spending a lot of time with his father who served as both a friend, a father and a teacher, Teir lived a happy life in the untouched naturaly world.

Being awoken only sporadically to visit friends and his mother, Teir was not used to the hurried awakening as the Third War began. Quickly rushing to join the fray in Mount Hyjal, Teir met with his mother who was travelling the same way. Teirs fought valiantly and skilfully but he was no match for the waves of Legion attacking the world tree. Overextending himself, Teir was caught off guard by two Demons and was made quick work of. A felsteel blade cut down his right eye and multiple wounds were made across his body. Falling to the two Felguarda and only managing to significantly damage one, Teirs lay dead in the battlefield for only a few minutes.

Brought back to life by his Mother who had successfully bested the Demons, Teirs was stunned for a long time. Merely happy he had not fallen, his Mother stayed with him for the remainder of the battle, his wounds being mended and his strength returning. But Teir had not uttered a word since his death and still he remained in silent contemplation.

As the dust left by the Defiler's death began to settle, Teirs thought about his life. Now that it was accepted for Males to become Priests, Teir felt compelled to strengthen his faith in the pale goddess after such a changing experience.

Spending a large majority of his time in the temple, Teirs had still not spoken. After around a year of worship, spending most of his free time buried in his journal, Teir left the temple unexpectedly and disappeared.

Teirs travelled away from Ashenvale, away from his people. Finding his way to a cave in Hillsbrad, Teirs spent many further years in isolation, studying the forbidden Shadow and its application both theoretically and physically, through both spells and enchantments. Solitude granted him peace to work, but even he felt loneliness.

Ressurection

After his resurrection, Teir suffered a number of drawbacks. As it is in the past, he suffers only from the longer term effects.

  • He is much weaker physically than most, and can not fight in melee combat nor sprint for more than a few seconds. He often has to use a can to travel long distances.
  • He often suffers from bouts of depression, which severely affect his mood and the clarity of his thoughts.
  • He has a paralysing fear of finding himself in a situation when he is outnumbered by Demons. A single Demon he can handle with only moderate fear.
