History

Taelos Feathersight was born in the area of Mount Hyjal, raised by a community of elves. While his mother herself was not a druid, his father was, along with the majority of the males in the community. Druidism did have a large impact on his childhood because while the druids slept with Ysera and the Emerald Dream, he would be left with whoever weren't druids to learn. Roughly 250 years after the departure of the druids they finally returned to their homes and communities. In this period Taelos was allowed to find a tutor in the druidic arts.

Akross Duskclaw was a strict tutor, never taking a failure and always saying that better could be done. Taelos didn't take this as an offense as much as he took it as inspiration. He began to excel in the basic arts of the feral arts while being able to focus his studies deeper into the Druidic balance. This challenges the druid's mental as well as physical prowess. Years later, just as his father and his community did, Taelos went into a deep sleep, communicating with Ysera and the Emerald Dream.

Centuries later, He arose from the Ban'ethil barrows den, which at the time was a small den on an Island off the coast of Kalimdor. The years spent in the Emerald Dream caused him to gain amber eyes, which formed among druids at the time. Also his time in the Dream allowed him to see new possibilities as a shape shifter. Now at the time the druids knew transformation spells to become such beasts as birds but that knowledge was usually reserved for elder and skilled druids.

At this point Taelos has grown away from a tutor, preferring to learn from the earth than other druids. Even with his growth away from a tutor one recently founded order perked his interest, The Druids of the Talon. During his multitude of visits to the Dream, he conversed with many different druids. In these, what he called lessons, he learned of the different followings of druidism aside from the claw. The talon, the wild, the fang and many other different paths were shown to him, but the one that perked his interest was The druids of the Talon. While in the dream he pledged himself to the talon and as he exited the dream he trained everyday with flight form, hoping to perfect it to a use in combat.

Taelos flew out from a camp near Ban'ethil doing nothing more than his daily training session. Once his hours of flying were finished he returned to his encampment to rest. Only a few minutes after his return was he approached by a young huntress, Emese. Just as Taelos, she had just finished a training run between certain points of the isle and was on her way back to her home village. The placement of the two's homes allowed a friendship to spark. Emese, being naturally curious, spent hours asking the druid about druids. Eventually the lectures turned to lessons and Taelos began showing Emese the paths of the druids. He took after his master, keeping strict with his teachings and training and always attempting to get Emese to go to her limits. After countless years of training just as he did with his master, Taelos guided Emese into the Emerald Dream for the first time.

The amber eyes opened as the war horn was sounded first. Disrupted from his sleep Taelos regained his composure and stepped outside of the barrow den only to find out that the legion has returned. Emese woke up a short time after Taelos but he had left in a rush, without her. He arrived in time only to see the alliance and horde camps leveled to the ground and the demon Archimonde command the legion to the Night elf camp, the last camp standing between the demon and the world tree. He did what he could, messenger, fighter, healer, whatever, but most of his time was spent as a scout, utilizing the abilities of his fight form to gain information on legion. Also because of the communication messages he carried he managed to teach the basics of the Orcish language to himself.

The spirits of the forest gathered around Archimonde, creating an explosion of the likes never seen before. In the midst of the explosion Taelos was carrying a message back to the main forces, although he was far from his destination and the explosion, the Shockwave knocked him out. He plummeted towards the ground, hitting it with a force that would have killed most. On his way down he was already battered and bruised, falling on trees and other now scorched trees and plants tore his body up as long as cutting off a piece of his ear. As he hit the ground on his left shoulder, snapping off a piece of bone from his body.

He woke up weeks later in agonizing pain. Wandering the forests for what seemed like an eternity, he was lost and devastated by the thought that his student could of died in the battle.. With all the life dead the forest became unfamiliar to him, the only nourishment he found was in the thoughts of returning to civilization.
