Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: Despite being a Death Knight in all but title, the Elf has rid herself of the heavy, cumbersome plate, instead choosing the lighter leathers and mail of her pre-death profession. Some of these armour pieces would look rather aged, being recovered from Acherus before they could be made into something new as well as dyed into a darker colour.

Other: Though still capable of being regarded as pretty, especially among the people she now calls her own, the Elf's face looks to have been sewn back together after death. Three very visible stitches run over her features, holding it together.

Personality

A fun-loving, and friendly Elf in life, much of her old self seems lost in death. Believing she lived only to serve the living while she was with the Ebon Blade came back to bite her in the backside as most of the living she met would sooner call her an abomination than call her an ally. It took the woman little time to throw her lot in with the Forsaken, as well as the queen she followed in life. These days, Sindyra does what she can to further the Forsaken goals, providing a cool demeanor to most situations and people she might face. It would take a master at words to make this Elf rediscover her old self.

Thanks to the war the Forsaken find themselves fighting for Garrosh, Sindyra rarely, if ever, feels the pangs of the Hunger. Even so, if she were to feel it, there are always more scourge fiends, Scarlet fools or Gilneas dogs to kill. Lacking those, she'll satisfy herself by picking the legs and wings off flies as long as they're alive.

History

Sindyra was born in the forests of Eversong to the coupling of two Farstriders. Though the two loved their daughter with all their hearts, their duties often kept them busy and they found themselves bringing their daughter along to the Farstrider Retreat more often than not, to leave in the care of their colleagues that didn't yet have to go out on patrol. Sindyra, luckily, was not a difficult child and, unless war reigned in Quel'thalas, the little girl was often a sight welcomed by the Rangers of Quel'thalas.

Growing up, the young girl, slowly turning into a young woman, often travelled out into the forest, either with a bow or with a book. She didn't seem to be filling out as much as her peers yet though, despite being as skinny as she was, she'd taken to learning the trade of her family, which included all the Rangers at the Retreat these days. Though she wasn't remarkable at either the nature magic or the bow, Sindyra did grow to be better with each passing day of studying and practicing her new arts.

As the skinny girl became a skinny woman, Sindyra had managed to finish her training. Much to the pride of her parents, the woman was now a fully fledged Farstrider. A ranger in her own right. Though news hit Quel'thalas of a war in the far south, and most Elves at the Retreat expected the order to move out any day, Sindyra was glad that order never came. Though many outlanders supposedly lost their lives, the young Ranger was glad her people had managed to keep themselves out of the war. After all, they had enough issues with random bands of Amani Trolls disrupting their efforts.

Spending more and more time in the wilds of her home, Sindyra spent most of that time doing her duty, finding Trolls and routing them out. Even so, during the few moments of peace she was granted, the young Ranger often found herself reading a book or enjoying the sights, the nature of this world never ceasing to amaze her.

It wasn't nearly long enough before more news arrived from the human kingdoms. More Orcish threats, as it turned out. Though Quel'thalas, this time, had decided to join the humans as allies, Sindyra was spared a trip outside of the borders, instead spending most of the duration of the war protecting the borderlands. As the Orcs had allied with the Trolls in her land, the fools had begun attempts at setting the forests ablaze. Thankfully, their efforts proved futile against the defences of Sindyra and her many brothers and sisters of the Rangers.

Thankfully, even this war came to an end, and peace returned to the land of the Elves. With the Orcs imprisoned, and the Dark Portal closed, the soldiers all returned home, among them was Sindyra who had sustained a few wounds in her service though did not suffer any long-lasting effects. Hanging up her armour for a few months, as well as her bow, the young Ranger retreated into the wilds to relax, and think. Despite the relaxation, Sindyra returned back to the service in due time, ready to return the fight to the Trolls that still wandered the Elven kingdom.

Contact with the humans to the south had become routine. They would toil away in the fields, paying for the Orcs' continued imprisonment and, though many would rather see the greenskinned brutes executed, everyone was content to have them out of their hair. That is, until they escaped, banding together under the banner of some Thrall. Nonetheless, the Orcs kept mostly to themselves, and the High Elves of Quel'thalas were left in peace until disturbing news came of sickness in the outlying villages.

The sickness, according to the news, had started spreading. Though Quel'thalas remained safe, Silvermoon nevertheless decided to send some support to the southern allies in the form of a band of priests. With that, they considered the matter closed and the armies of Quel'thalas remained in Quel'thalas. This included Sindyra and she was in no way anxious to leave for the humans' Lordaeron. However, as news from Lordaeron grew erratic and, soon, simply stopped, Silvermoon had all of their troops on alert. Serving under the Ranger-General of Silvermoon, Sylvanas Windrunner, Sindyra and many of her brothers and sisters set out to the southern lands to patrol against any threats thay may creep up from the human lands.

On the way, scouts had reported an army marching upon them. The scouts weren't exagerating, Sindyra thought, as they could smell the army long before seeing it. Seeing the dead and the necromancers scurrying about below her, the young Ranger could only watch as Sylvanas went to confront the one they'd been told had once been the human prince, Arthas. It wasn't a long conversation at all and, in no time, Sylvanas and her loyal rangers had started the war that would determine the continued existence of the Elven kingdom.

The war was short, but bloody. Quel'thalas was in ruins, the Ranger-General, officially, was dead... Though those that saw what had happened knew differently. Sindyra and what pitiful few Rangers survived alongside her had attached themselves to Lor'themar Theron's troops, providing resistance to the Scourge remnants in their beloved kingdom.

Over the years, little news reached the Elves in Quel'thalas, and they fought hard to retake their homeland from the dead. Eventually, though, much of the land was finally retaken, safe for the strip of blight they called people had taken to calling the Dead Scar. When Prince Kael'thas' people returned from Outland, the rebuilding efforts could finally be started and, thanks to the magic of the mages and their new-found strength after the "cure" to their magical addiction, it didn't take so long for life to pick back up among the Elves.

Having found a new hatred for the Scourge, and trusting that her people could hold their own now, Sindyra decided to venture south in name of Silvermoon, to assist the Argent Dawn in their fight against the dead. It's here that she learned of the eventual fate of her beloved Ranger-General and, though she made a note to travel to the Forsaken's "Undercity" when she could, it was not to be.

A strange, magical glow had begun to show to the east and a small group of Argent Dawn associates was picked to scout it out. Among them Sindyra. As they carefully headed into the Scarlet-controlled lands, the soldiers were ill-prepared for what they discovered. The Scourge had settled into the hills and, where days ago there was a glow, now a necropolis floated serenely in the sky above their heads. Before they could flee, however, the Scourge had spotted them, swarming over the small group. Despite fighting valiantly and taking more than a few Scourge down, Sindyra and those she served with in this Light-forsaken land fell, only to be taken up into Acherus.

Darkness... A dull ache had started to take Sindyra, despite the fact that she had no body to feel with. Before the Elf could get her bearings, the pain had become a sharp stab, causing the woman to scream. Eyes flying open, she found herself aboard the necropolis, Acherus. A voice had started whispering in her head, intelligible at first though she soon came to recognize the voice of Arthas, albeit with a deeper, darker undertone. Reaching up to her face, she felt only uncovered flesh, and some loose flaps of skin. Even so, her eyes were intact and she was soon armoured and sent down to do her mission, killing the living in the Scourge's name.

Sindyra's eventually taken a backseat in her own mind. The hours, days, weeks or years started flowing into eachother and she had no clue as to how long she'd been dead. Was she even dead? Not truly, she guessed. Nevertheless, the attack on Light's Hope Chapel had an effect even on the mind of the dead Ranger and she'd started paying attention to her surroundings once more, like a book that suddenly started building up to its climax. Something came, however, that the Elf was not prepared for. Though most words spoken fell on deaf ears, Sindyra suddenly found herself in control of her actions, almost falling to her knees as she was ill-prepared.

Seeing no alternative, Sindyra allied herself with the Ebon Blade and, through sheer luck, found most of her old armour and even her weapons had yet been left intact. Managing to scrounge up enough money, the Elf had her old things dyed into a darker colour and donned them once more in service to her new masters in Northrend. She'd taken up the bow again, though didn't shun her new abilities when in range of a sword.

Nevertheless, the Elf realized she'd never fit in. Not with the living, or with the other Knights and so, without a word, she left the Knights and even Northrend to find the one people she hoped would understand her; The Dark Lady and her Forsaken. Pledging both her bow and sword to the woman she owed loyalty in life, Sindyra happily served the Forsaken in finding their own place in the world, eventially even returning to Northrend for her new Lady, even when the New Plague was unleashed on the unsuspecting soldiers of the Wrath Gate.

Even the Northrend conflict came to a close, and Sindyra returned to Lordaeron, fighting the remnants of the Scourge for Tirisfal Glades. When the Horde gave the order to attack Gilneas, Sindyra was there as well, readfy to take the orders of a foolish Orc simply in order to further the survival of her people.

Even Sindyra knew how braindead the plan was and so she was happy when Sylvanas, returning from her own duties, took control of the Forsaken forces in the campaign. With the main campaign well underway, Sindyra'd returned from the front, travelling Lordaeron or, if need be, the world to further the Forsaken cause.

Skills and Abilities

Ranger in death: Though a far cry from her old ability, the dead Elf has, since being freed of the Scourge, and her brief foray with the Death Knights of Acherus, returned to the art of archery, often fighting with her (limited) skill at archery rather than the rune-emblazoned shortsword on her hip.
