History

Living

Shalei was born and raised in Kalimdor, she had a keen interest in combat which developed over the years until she was allowed to train around. About the age of 280, she spent most of her time training and learning about combat forms and styles. Around the age of 340 she picked up two handed weapons such as spears and axes, about the age of 500 she picked up skills in one handed weapons and about the age of 1000 she picked up some skills in dual wielding one handed weapons. Around the age of 1250 she finished her training, and decided to put her skills to use. Shalei spent majority of 24 years serving as a sentinel. After she became 1275 years of age, Shalei joined in the fight against the scourge, using her skills in combat to help eradicate the enemy threat.

On one of her patrols she had an unexpected encounter with the scourge. Her patrol fought hard and she ended up engaging a large amount of them in an attempt to let the others flee, but through all her skills, she had never fought against such large numbers, and in due process her life ended.

Undead

Shalei awoke, risen by the scourge, to a deep call pulsing through her mind. She rose and didn't feel sleepy, nor pain. She felt nothing except that something was missing. After a while of wandering she found herself slowly loosing control, first her legs, then her arms, until she was only watching herself move.

She silently went insane as she watched herself slaughter countless innocents, unable to control her own body because of the call, the deep call that forced her forward. After 3 years of this, the call suddenly became weaker and weaker. She eventually could no longer hear it, but the damage already done. She wandered, slowly gaining her full control again, she wandered until she was confronted by a member of the Ebon Blade, whom explained to her what had happened. Shalei, then seeing no other option, joined the Ebon Blade's forces.

Shalei spent her days hunting for those of the Knights who had fallen to madness; she finally discovered one in Northrend and as she hunted the Knight down she felt that she had a purpose for once. After many days of wandering the wastelands, Shalei found and confronted the Knight, and though her melee skills were superior, she had not yet gained a full grasp of her abilities. The Knight saw through her melee skill and used his more powerful spells against her. The battle lasted for hours, until the Knight finally managed to strike Shalei with enough force to render her unconscious. The Knight, unknown for what reason, attempted to remove all memory from Shalei with their magic. Thinking she was dead, the rogue placed Shalei in a hole and left, letting the snow grow thick above her body.

Shalei awoke to nothing. She reached up and empowered herself, removing the heat from the ice around her, melting it. She stood and looked at herself. Noticing her armor heavily damaged, she raised a hand to herself and created temporary armor from the corpse of one of her minions. She wandered from that point, never to meet the rogue again.
