Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: True to the Blood Elven color scheme, Sehinu prefers reds and golds in her natural form - particularly antique dark-looking golds and winey reds. She's also fond of jewelry, and most of her collection is in the same bold, filigreed style. One of her ears usually has a garnet drop in it.

She usually goes under invisibility or an illusory form, so it's not as if her clothes will be noticed.

Other: Rarely seen carrying a mage's staff. Not because she doesn't carry one, but because it's also hidden. Someone loves her illusions.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Personality

Egotistical, intelligent, easily amused - and just as easily bored. She regards life as as a game, and is always willing to barge into any situation to see how she can change it. Due to her magical training - or maybe just because she's like that - she has a lateral, complex mindset which keeps her occupied, and unwilling to do anything in a simpler way. Mysteries and puzzles are her favorite pastimes, and she will ignore them in favor of all else.

She is a very specialized illusionist, having trained for over a thousand years in that branch of magic (accordingly, she is less experienced and therefore weaker in the other branches). Her experience, talent and concentration make her capable of creating some very impressive illusions. In keeping with her ego and her nickname, she refers to the places shown in them as the "Metaverse": a world which, although fragmented and temporary, belongs to her alone.

Her nature appears reclusive (she lives alone, and often resorts to invisibility), but the truth is, she's actually fond of people. Her magical specialization is enough to make most people either distrustful or greedy, so she tends to avoid meeting others first-hand. And when she does, it's mostly just to bother them.

The time spent in seclusion has left her quite racist, even towards the allies of the Blood Elves. Orcs, Trolls, and Tauren she disdains for being both primitive and mentally simple, and she considers the Blood Elven alliance with the Forsaken to be a foolish mistake her race will pay for later. Alliance - specifically humans - are slightly more lucky. She wasn't present for the Siege of Silvermoon, and so never witnessed the humans' betrayal. She has an extreme hatred for Night Elves, leniency towards Dwarves, and is amused by Draenei, particularly their mages and their concepts of honor.

She often takes contracts to pay her bills - usually working as an illusionist for parties and the like. Occasionally, she'll also find voicework: her voice (especially her cackle) is very distinctive, and well-suited to sounding villainous. The rest of the time, she avoids work and pilfers money with whatever ridiculous scheme she can come up with. Villainous indeed.

History

Sehinu was the firstborn daughter to a family with a tradition of raising their children as mages. While far from wealthy, they had enough money to pay for a nurse while she was still a baby. She very rarely saw her parents, and so came to treat her nurse with the love usually reserved for kin.

Her magical aptitude was obvious from a young age. Although she'd been entertained for years by her nurse's stories of the mages of Silvermoon, and expected to begin her training someday, she was still surprised when her parents began paying for a tutor. She was practicing preliminary magic by the age of six, although she didn't take well to the lessons.

She was only in her teens when she was sent to Dalaran with her father to further her magical training. With her parents' approval, she chose her own specialization and teachers, forsaking the general applications of magic for the more detailed nuances. She spent a lot of time with her friends - teachers and peers alike, all with a shared love of the magic they practiced.

Time passed quickly. Sehinu remained a sheltered girl who rarely had responsibilities outside her studies. Although Dalaran was a hub of travel and information, it was one thing to hear about world events, and another to experience them. Her single-minded devotion to magic turned into complacency. There was nothing left for her to train for. She began conducting further research into illusion magic, and distanced herself from others for fear they'd steal her ideas.

She adopted the Meta alias and modus operandi out of pure boredom. Without an identity to stick to, or any limit to her creativity in magic, she did exactly as she wanted. Terrorized people, indulged in mind games, went anywhere, did anything. She became jaded quickly, and kept going on to more absurd things.

She began experiencing the pangs of magic loss before Dalaran was destroyed, but held the worst affects off with frequent mana potions (her overuse eventually led to allergies, but not for several months). She escaped the city's destruction, but lost most of her old life in the process.

From there, she traveled back to Quel'thalas with other High Elven mages who were desperate to learn what had happened to the Sunwell in their absence. It didn't take long before Sehinu succumbed to the lack of magic and began draining fel like the others. She was recruited into Kael'thas' forces, and traveled with other Blood Elves to Outland.

Outland was a new and fascinating place to Sehinu, who was inspired by the alien landscapes. Although she wasn't a battlemage, her illusions had obvious practical uses on the battlefield. She was sent with many other elven mages to destroy Shattrath, and it was there she left Kael'thas' service.

She remained there for a moderate amount of time, feeling isolated and out-of-place for the first time in her life. She served in the Sunwell Campaign, but remained out of the front lines. By the time she returned to Silvermoon, her view on the world had changed drastically towards the cynical.

She encountered her family again in Silvermoon, meeting her little brother and sister for the first time. But she had little to say to them. Any remaining morals she had dictated not to torment her own family - with the exception of her cousin, who was far too fun -not- to bother. When the news of a new Dalaran reached Silvermoon, Sehinu left for it.

Within only months in Dalaran, she'd hosted a magical game event, found some new adventures to join, stolen a valuable artifact from one noble house, found a partner, and, most memorably, was successfully punched in the nose by an angry Spellbreaker. Time will tell what other adventures her favorite job will lead her to.

Skills and Abilities

Magical Aptitude. Sehinu's a lucky fluke of nature as far as magical ability's concerned. She has a -very- large amount of mana at her disposal. Trying to out-magic her is usually not successful.

Illusion Specialization. She's mostly abandoned other forms of magic in favor of illusion. Her experience has taught her better than a teacher - her spells are long-lasting, very realistic, and resistant to distraction. Large-scale illusions are also possible, but uncommon.

Lateral Thinking. Hundreds of years with puzzles have left her treating Azeroth like a rather amusing strategy game. She uses far too much game logic, and prepares obsessively for things which never happen, all the while ignoring real and probable events.
