Character In-Game Name: Schmon

Nickname: Schmon

Associations: Sha'tar, Nitor Alumnus

Race: Draenei

Class: Shaman

Age: 28,587

Hair: Jet black, up to the middle of his back. It's kept together in a ponytail, and wrapped around a draenic adornment at the bottom (because I have no clue how to else describe that thing. Suggestions are welcome.)

Eyes: Light blue.

Weight: 264 lbs

Height: 7 ' 0 "

Appearance

Although not particularly vain, Schmon takes care of himself for proper first appearances, at the very least. He sports a vest and pants made of tanned leather, that are daily attended to and well-kept. His belt is made of several layers of silk, and it's clearly there to be an adornment, not for use. In the middle of the belt's buckle shines a small piece of a draenic crystal.

His body is not muscular, but toned and kept after. His hooves and hair are also well-kept, appearing generally clean.

Personality

Calm, but fun-loving and with a cheerful personality. Schmon's the type of guy to start or play along with any joke, even if it seems silly to him. He has a strong sense of duty, however, and is capable of putting his own personal likes and dislikes aside for the sake of his duties to Nitor and the Sha'tar. The shaman does not play favorites, no matter the situation.

When off duty, he can be extremely whimsical, however, and act depending on a momentary impulse. Thought it's rare for him to regret something he does even if he knows he's wrong, he will apologize for his mistakes.

History

Schmon was born three thousand years before the draenei left Argus. Although he did not have a lot of time to live in the planet, he was raised to be a magi, as all of his family were at the time.

He valued Arcane highly, as all of his race and family did back then. As he grew up, Schmon befriended a female vindicator by the name of Bashela. As they grew together in Argus, the two got closer and closer at the time, until eventually becoming mates.

Schmon and Bashela then had a son. Named him "Ilari", and he was his father's pride. Ilari took the Arcane from Schmon, and even further - The then-magi would often remark to his mate that his offspring would end up surpassing him in the arts of the arcane.

Life was tranquil and easy for the family, but only for a little while. Soon came the time to flee Argus in the Oshu'gun, and when Velen gave them the choice, Schmon and Bashela obeyed - taking Ilari with them.

In the ship, Schmon would usually assist with repairs by using the arcane, and aid with necessary supplies, as conjuring food and water. He would also teach the young ones the art of the arcane, which sadly gave him little time to spend with his son (though he would lecture the boy every now and then.)

Ilari seemed to understand, however, and studied on his own. By then, the boy's skills were higher than anyone of his age, much to his father's pride.

The Draenei would hop from planet to planet, and in each, Bashela would dream of having a second child. She did not want to have one in the ship, she'd say, as it was no place to raise one. Schmon accepted her wishes, and every time they stopped in a planet, he hoped his wife would get her dream fulfilled.

Then Draenor came. Schmon did not particularly care for the orcs; They looked after their own, and he looked after his. Draenor seemed to be the right place, as a few years had gone by without the legion tracking them down. Bashela got pregnant of their second child and she was born, a small female gift by the name of Tayla. Schmon loved her with all his heart, and would often spoil the baby in any way he could.

However, the orcs soon fell from grace. As they attacked the Dreanic capital, Schmon hurried home to see his wife dead to protect their newborn, and the orc as it, in a frenzy of blood-lust, committed inhumane atrocities to the baby.

The orc turned to Schmon, small chunks of blood and flesh dripping from his mouth, and all he saw was as the enraged magister threw blast after blast at him, killing, maiming, burning and utterly destroying the body of the demon that touched his family in such a manner.

As he cried, mourning the loss of his loved ones, a patrol found him, and dragged him to safety. Knowing his son, Ilari, had survived brought comfort but little joy to the draenei. All he wanted now was to start again, even though he knew he'd never forget the death of the woman that had been with him for over twenty thousand years, or the death of their child. To Schmon, Ilari became his world. His life was for his son's, and he would gladly put it in the line for him.

It gladded him to see his son find a mate of his own, and Schmon reinforced to the couple that the moments of war they were in where when it was most important to strengthen those bonds, because they would eventually end, and they would all be able to move on.

And then, as the Draenei escaped, his son's mate died. Schmon was broken, dismayed, to his boy on the ground as the elves circled him, ready to finish him off as he mourned the loss of his beloved. Schmon was enraged a second time. Swearing to himself he would fail his family again, he blasted his way thorough the elves and dragged his son to safety. Sadly, there would be no time to take both him and the corpse, but was able to take a memento with him.

Aboard the Argus, Schmon blamed his lack of strength to be unable to save his family. Had been he a priest, or a vindicator, he would maybe be able to heal his wife and child, and maybe they would have survived. He gave up the arcane altogether, cursing the Art and his pride on it as the catalyst for his family's destruction.

Once the Nobundo was reunited with the Draenei, Schmon saw opportunity to improve. The spirits would allow him to use magic similar to the arcane, but yet heal, mend, help. He was an eager student, if a bit wary, and soon joined the ranks of the draenei as a shaman.

Schmon decided that it was time to move on, and start again as he decided before. He started the school Nitor Alumnus, hoping to teach human, draenei and even elf and orc alike, the ways of the shaman, the priest, the paladin or the mage.
