Appearance

Hair: Sathon's hair is the fair blonde that is very common among Blood Elves and High Elves. Proud of his long, tailored locks, they are usually left flowing around and behind his shoulders, and he prefers to not wear a helmet in order to preserve the vanity of his hair's quality. The few times that the hair must be kept under the lock of a helmet, it will be arranged in a way that it still falls carelessly from the back, obviously trying to induce one to see his assets.

Eyes: Because of the withdrawal of the power of the Sunwell, Sathon, like all of the Blood Elves, is marked with the green fel-eyes that have become dominant in Blood Elven culture. While obviously not immune to this, Sathon is nostalgic for the days where this was not the case, and the Elves were seen as beautiful for their sapphire tinted eyes. This departure, according to Sathon, is a travesty, and he wishes for nothing more then their former beauty to be restored.

Weight: Above average for men of his stature, Sathon attributes this to his rigorous training as a sailor at the Sunsail Anchorage. He currently weighs about 189 lbs.

Height: His height is similarly a little above the norm, at around 6'3.

Usual Garments/Armor: As a Blood Knight of Silvermoon, Sathon's army is typical and constantly reflective of his profession. Even after his stationing at Sunsail, he remained in the uniform of the Knights, always with the tabard wrapped carefully around his breastplate. The armor is the typical red and black, and blends well with the design of the Knight's colors, and there is something striking about the pattern. It also blends well with the schemes of the Sindorei naval vessels, which are pertinent to Sathon's continued employment and survival. The armor wraps very tightly, and the helmet is not concealing, instead wrapping around his forehead and exposing the face and hair. For weaponry, Sathon confines himself to a mainly defensive position, opting for a sword and shield rather than a two-handed weapon. He has been known though, when defending the ships, to take up a polearm, as it is more effective at controlling groups then a buckler.

Personality

Sathon to be described briefly, is a man of the law. He is a soldier above all other things, and his commitment is to the state, and not to any single general or organization. He is virtuous and follows his orders to the letter, but is not above questioning them if they seem to be immoral or unjust. He is guided by the Light and the recent conversion of the Blood Knight's to the mission of the Naaru. When not in a professional fashion, he is reserved, and will stop at great lengths to learn more and to improve his skills. Training is a central part of his existence. He is also a bit racist towards the Horde (excluding Undead and Blood Elves), and to the Amani trolls of former Quel'thalas.

Other: Sathon's speciality lies not only in his soldiering, but in his cartography too. As a sailor on leave during the Second War, he began to first draw maps, and the profession only intrigued him as the battles faded. While not a professional, and certainly not creating anything that would be used by higher authorities, he nonetheless takes pride in his meager abilities. And in truth, it has righted his path before, even if it cares to not admit it. Other then that, his possessions are not very interesting. He has a couple of history books, some first aid supplies, and a Worg pup named Tallad. For transportation, he relies on the mount given to him by the Knighthood, the Thalassian Warhorse, Aul'shor.

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

History

Sathon was born in the relative peace before the Orcish arrival on Azeroth. Growing up among the archaic traditions of the High Elves, he found himself with an affinity towards the Light. For the entirety of his youth, his mission was towards the Light, and the continued legacy of the High Elven priesthood. He also first discovered his love of ships and of the Elvish destroyers that would prove decisive in the coming years. His upbringing culminated with the Elvish decision to enter the Second War after incursions by the Amani trolls. Sent to cater to the wounded after the burning of Quel'thalas, Sathon was overwhelmed. He saw the death of his people, and the burning of his homeland, and was struck with a sense of righteous vengeance. It came of little surprise that he joined the growing number of priests who became paladins with the Knights of the Silver Hand.

And Sathon fought alongside with paladins for the duration of the war. He fought his calling among the Elvish fleet, and the naval battles that occurred throughout the war, featured him as one of the sailors. Never the commander, he fought bravely but without real distinction. With the Alliances victory, he settled into a comfy post in Silvermoon, content that the threats had been faced and he could remain a veteran soldier for the remaining years of his life. This all changed with the destruction of Quel'thalas by Arthas. Sent out on a shipping mission, Sathon was absent when the High Elven genocide occurred. When he returned, he found all that he had fought for in ashes. Outraged, he continued with the few refugees left in Lordaeron, eventually finding solace in Prince Kael'thalas' forces. Sticking with this group, Sathon continued to fight with his people, eventually becoming a Blood Elf in the honor of his fallen comrades.

Instead of following his Prince, Sathon felt that he could make better use of his skills in the rebuilding of Silvermoon. News slowly trickled in about the Prince's movements, and eventually Sathon made the decision to join the Blood Knights to regain a semblance of his former self. Requesting another post alongside a ship, he was stationed at the newly built Sunsail Anchorage, outside of the Silvermoon ruins. Eventually, after the events of the Sunwell, with the rejuvenation of the Blood Knights, Sathon found himself unfazed by the developments, worried only about his maps, his charts, and the stationed vessels at his post. Tragedy struck though, as the Anchorage was overrun, and the Sin'sholai split from the rest of the Horde. Now, with the undead, Sathon's sees the advantages at their disposal. The Elves have always been known for their navy, and with the recent Forsaken commissioned ships in Northrend, Sathon sees that there is power in a navy, especially since the Horde is reeling from the loss of its. Sathon, a dutiful soldier, now sits at the Anchorage that he has lost, wondering what will become of his people.
