Personality
Saphorus is loyal to his Kind and will always try to help them out unless it's a conflict in which he thinks the final result will end in him getting harmed, he likes to stay out of combat unless he has to fight. Saphorus loves to read his books and research a lot of the aspects of races, items and history of the world, and though he is rather arrogant and is inanition which means he has a lack of spirit, he will regularly consume magic in public places as he can't control the addiction at all.
Saphorus likes to stay out of the way of people and is rather ignorant if people try to talk to him, he will only talk back if the person is of his own kin or someone he knows or finds interesting; also a fan of architecture and art, he will usually admire buildings he thinks are a unique part of "culture", he usually hates sitting or being near "scruffy" looking buildings but won't avoid them completely as he knows you can meet interesting people in places like that.
Due to his father and mothers inheritance he is very wealthy and he also earns his old money by teaching young priests the shadow aspect of being a priest. Saphorus usually looks into ways to crush the Alliance and ways that he can gain a substantial amount of power in Azeroth.
He tends to think that politics and democracy is a better way to achieve power although he's not scared to take it through force. When he's in a situation in of which he is in control he tends to have a great joy out of torturing people with his shadow magic. Another thing about Saphorus is he does not consider himself evil at all if told this don't be surprised if he seems shocked.
History
As a young high elf Saphorus started training as a priest and was as his master said "He has a natural talent for the magic and skill required to be a priest". During his training he started to look in on the shadow aspect of a priest and located and found out a new master who could teach him these things. Once he found this new master he was willing to accept the torture he would go through to show him the more darker side of it all, With accepting this torture to learn he was put through years of pain trying to master it completely.
When his shadow master taught him all he knew Saphorus wanted to learn more about the shadow aspect and seeing he already learned all that his master could teach him he left and decided to try an alternate form of learning. After leaving to try a different way of learning he turned to books to help him finish what he had begun and two years later he had finally mastered the aspects of being a shadow priest.
When Arthas and the Scourge attacked Quel'Thalas Saphorus was busy with his parents in Daralan, When he heard of the attack he rushed up to the remains of Quel'Thalas and grieved for all the high elves that had been killed.
After using his last ounce of strength trying to heal some of the survivors he suddenly become sick and was thirsty for magic of which he no longer could get seeing as the Sunwell was destroyed, While this was going on his parents were in Daralan checking the place out still and got crushed by the attack of Archimonde. After hearing this news Saphorus promised to himself that he will destroy any scourge or members of the burning legion when ever he set eyes on one.
When Kael'Thas returned Saphorus was one of the few population of Quel'Thalas left to witness the rise of the now new named Sin'Dorei. Because Saphorus was so weak from the need to absorb magic he stayed back from the others that traveled to Outland and instead desperately waited behind for them to come back with a way to keep the hunger for magic contained.
When Grand Magister Rommath returned to the Elves waiting in Quel'Thalas to teach them the ways of draining Arcane magic Saphorus could never have been better, Although this technique did leave him thirsting arcane more than ever but atleast he was healthy again thanks to this new way of absorbing arcane.
Saphorus decided to visit Outland and see Shattrath City for himself, while seeing the city he bumped into a child hood friend who explained he was part of The Scryers and Saphorus was greatly interested in this so he decided to join up with them and become a member of the group. After joining the group Saphorus gained many allies through his hard work for them and decided to leave to rally more people to The Scryers cause to gain the power over Shattrath City and become the Naaru's favorite instead of The Aldor. After leaving Shattrath Saphorus went to the new Undercity that was being led by Sylvanna's and saw the Forsaken as great allies because they both share a burning hatred for Arthas and his Scourge.
While in Undercity looking through some books Saphorus met a Forsaken by the name of Avrand Malvren who started babbling about The Forgotten Shadow, seeing as Saphorus had a knack for getting to know more and bolster his intelligence he started relating to certain topics the Forsaken had to say. When they had a chat about some ideas Avrand explained that he was creating a Syndicate and Saphorus joined up with him as he thought this particular Forsaken had some very interesting ideas, So he decided to join up and then returned to Silvermoon to start training some priests the shadow aspect of being a priest and has been doing on and off ever since.
