Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: Brought up in high society, Salem is usually clad in expensive robes and suits. When in battle, he wears distinctive, decorated uniforms and ceremonial armour. Like all paladins, he prefers wearing plate over any form of armour. Though occasionally, if the need rises, he may change to leather for more mobility.

Other: With pale skin and white hair, it seems as though Salem is someone who refuses so go into the sun. He is taller and stockier than most blood elves. However, his face still retains his youth. He is handsome and well groomed.

Personality

To a stranger, and perhaps even to a friend, Salem's mindset is always confusing and unpredictable. Salem only thinks in plans and strategies. Everything to him, must be calculated. He considers these calculations and predictions to be art. He is organized and tidy. He is generally well-mannered when meeting new people, but he will not tolerate those who oppose him.

Like most, he does have the emotions of jealousy and rage. These are his two great vices, alongside hubris. His ego is his greatest weakness.

History

At a very young age, Salem displayed a great fascination with swordsmanship and the art of the combat. He was well educated and came from a wealthy high-elven family in Quel‘thalas, from there, he became fluent in poetry, song and dance, which he incorporated to his strategies in sword fighting and duelling. Due to some occupation opportunities in Stormwind, his family moved. At first, it disappointed Salem, because he was unable to practice sparring with his uncle, however, Salem‘s father saw it as an opportunity to have Salem go through military training. During his time with the Stormwind infantry, he learnt about military strategy and offensive thinking. Salem specialized in the planning of military campaigns, the movement of forces and the deception of the enemy.

During the second war, Salem fought alongside other human foot soldiers as a pikeman. He remained somewhat anonymous, and achieved very little during that entire campaign. Despite the loss of several comrades, and the willingness to stay behind and protect the Alliance, Salem was forced to join the other high-elves as they returned to Quel'thalas.

During his stay in Quel'thalas, he continued to work for the military, providing intelligence support and worked as an advisor for one of the captains until he was promoted. Soon enough, the Scourge attacks Quel'thalas, and Salem is sent to battle, except this time with his own squad.

Upon the high-elves defeat, Salem's entire squad is decimated, and he is found, days later, under some rubble. After being treated for his wounds, Salem joined the Blood Knights, to honor his fallen squad. He spends the rest of his time training and working in and around the Dead Scar and Silvermoon.

After some time, Salem was ambushed by bandits, who stole his armour and the blade his father had given him. Angered, he went on leave to 'reclaim' his honor.
