Personality

Saena, like many Kaldorei women, has a strong and independent personality. This is perhaps made even more evident by the fact that she's a Druid, which is still a fairly rare occurrence among her race. Still, that's not to say she's without typical feminine traits more expressed by the other races, they're simply put aside the overwhelming majority of the time. But she's respectful, particularly to her people, and possesses a deep sense of courage, duty and honor in her tasks and lifestyle.

History

Saena was born in Ashenvale to a Druid father and Sentinel mother, and it was from her and the other females that she developed her personality and strength. She was trained in the use of bows like all Kaldorei are, and how to hunt and tell which plants had what uses. It was through her training that she followed in her mother's footsteps and joined the Sentinels. For a few hundred years, she hunted the remnants of the Legion in Kaldorei lands until the Third War, and the Orcs and Humans began to encroach upon their territory.

The final battle of the war would be fought at Hyjal, and she and the other Sentinels took up their defensive positions atop the mountain at the base of the great tree. Among the chaos of battle, her mother fell, and the remaining soldiers were called to retreat shortly afterward.

She grieved for her mother, but remained strong and moved forward quickly out of respect for her and what she was raised to be, and because her new mortality put an even greater importance on getting things done quickly and effectively. There just wasn't any time to waste anymore. She wasn't resentful for having lost her immortality, far from it, for she understood well what the alternative would've been. And like all Kaldorei were now forced to do, she made the best of their new situation.

The end of the war brought about some change to Kaldorei culture. With the increasing leniency in the Druidic gender divide, Saena was among those who persistently requested the right to train, owing to the fact that she saw how incredibly significant the Druids were in the war, and she felt she'd be cheated out of protecting her people more effectively if she didn't walk this path. And so she was granted the right to train within the Dream.

Some years later, she re-awoke, and now she prowls the dark forests of her people, hunting those who would dare bring harm to her lands either by action or by merely existing, continuing to fulfill her responsibilities and duties to her people.
