Sae'lara is quick to act upon her decisions. She is easy to get along with, but she will tend to say what is necessary and then carry out the task. She is quite friendly to her fellow Night Elves but easily dislikes other races for their lack of respect for the forests that she tries to protect alongside her sisters. She is merciful to those who ask forgiveness, but the extent of that mercy depends on the crime one has committed. She is quite prideful of her faith in Elune and her sisters.

History

Sae'lare was raised by her mother, a sister of the sentinels. Her father was a druid, who had re-entered the emerald dream before she could take a clear note of what he looked like. When her mother wasn't on patrol, she would teach Sae'lare in the use of a bow, which she became quite efficient with. For a few years all Sae'lare did with her free time was train with her bow. When her marksmanship was up to standard, every time her mother came home, she would take Sae'lara into the wilds to hunt and learn the terrain.

When Sae'lare was of though of as old enough, around the age of 306, she joined the sentinel sisterhood. Because of this, she rarely saw her mother due to their separated posts and patrols. Sae'lare would go on patrols through the forest that she used to spend time with her mother in. Sae'lare would spend her time either on patrol, or continuing on sharpening her archery skill.

Many centuries past with this constant repetition of patrol, train, hunt, survive in the forest for some time. Until one day she was on patrol as usual but she happened to patrol directly into a group of satyrs. The battle between the patrol she was in and the satyrs didn't last as long as others, but it was long enough for Sae'lare to make a mistake, the result of which was a satyr's blade being embedded in her torso. Her injuries extended as the blade was poisoned. She was rushed to aid, and managed to survive, if only barely. However she was unconcious for quite some time as the poison passed.

During this time the event known as the shifting sands occurred. During this time Sae'lare was at the age of 1,386. Sae'lare awoke to the rumbling of the land, but she was far too weak in her state to be able to asist in this battle. After reccuperating, Sae'lare went back to her sentinel patrol. The constant practice of her bow kept her company as she continued her old habits of patrolling, training, hunting and then surviving off the wilds for some time. This repetition continued but with one new addition, Sae'lare started to question if what she was doing was enough for her.

Once again almost a thousand years past without much incident, untill the battle for hyjal. In this battle Sae'lare and her patrol joined the forces in the fighting. Like many of her sisters, she fought valiantly, but the demons strength never wavered, where as her patrol got more and more tired. In one instance of the battle Sae'lare didn't see the demon charging towards her, and once again recieved the sharp end of a blade, likewise being dragged off to recieve healing and aid.

Sae'lare awoke once again, weak and frail and after her time spent recuperating, she learned of the loss of the sacred tree, understanding that she was now mortal by even age she sharpened her skills again, but this time did not spend her time patrolling. She left the sentinels to live in the forest where she muddled over her choices in life.

Finally something clicked in her head, the noble cause of the sentinel was a great one, but it was also one that wasn't holding. The many enemies the kaldorei people faced now were too great to handle alone. So Sae'lare decided to seek the guidance of Elune. Her faith was never very strong but it was always there, so she searched for a new beginning.

She began her new path at a moonwell, calming her violent thoughts and memories as to be more understanding of others and Elune. Eventually she returned from the wilds, where she headed directly to the nearest temple in order to pray for guidance. After a some time learning the ways of a priestess, her faith increased in a large proportion so much so that she felt visiting winterspring was a good pilgrimage.

The plan on this pilgrimage to winterspring was to simply visit and understand how life in that land was. She ended up staying longer than she intended. Shortly after arriving at winterspring she asked about the Frostsabers that lived in the area, she was deeply intruiged by them and their white fur just seemed majestic in her eyes. One day she was simply taking a walk when she encountered a young Frostsaber, she thought it a good idea to keep such a great beast fed, and so she left some of the meat she had with her on the flat surface of a rock and then made the return trip home. After a few weeks of gonig to the rock, placing the meat and leaving. Sae'lare stopped seeing the young saber. So she stopped placing the meat and begun taking alternate routes to explore more of the land.

One of the days she was walking with bow in hand, she was confronted by a Yeti. The battle for her life was short, the Yeti charged at her, and out of instinct she drew and fired three arrows into it's chest. It roared it rage and picked up a nearby stone, knocking Sae'lare to the ground and breaking one of her legs. The yeti soon died from the arrows in it's chest and Sae'lare was left alone, in the snow with a broken leg. For some time she struggled to move but was unable due to the pain. Eventually she fainted and woke again inside a bed, when she asked of her saviour the healer told her that a Frostsaber had dragged her to a spot near the entrance of the village and then ran off into the snow. Sae'lare didn't understand what to think, was this occurance because of her involvement with the saber? Or was it devine grace from Elune? The answer was a mystery to her so she simply took it on faith that Elune had guided her.

After recuperating once again from injury, Sae'lare decided to return to the temple she came from, but on the path at the border between winterspring and felwood, sat the Frostsaber, waiting for her. She believed this to be another sign from Elune so she thanked the Saber and told it where she was going. The frostsaber followed her from that point, all the way to the temple. Where she prayed for some time, and eventually she took her bow and begun to practice with it again. If the Frostaber was a sign from Elune, perhaps her bow could be used for the good of Elune.

It was some time before Sae'lare asked her new found friend and sister "Starlight". She chose this name because she believed that the frostaber's fur was almost like the light from the stars. The saber didn't seem to reject this name, so she used it. After some time of training with her bow she slowly worked her way into having Starlight trust her enough to allow her to be it's rider, which was a slow process. But after this was accomplished Sae'lare started training her archery while mounted, slowly going from stationary to moving around while shooting from saber-back. Once this was achieved, she began pilgrimaging from temple to village and see what she could help with when it came to Elune or her sisters.

Eventually her faith became so great that she felt a power well up within her. She trained to focus this power into her bow and arrows, and after long practice, succeeded in setting an arrow aflame with Elune's light. Eventually she was able to fire multiple arrows enchanted with Elune's light, but she did not use these unless they were absolutely necessary. As her faith grew, the power she felt seemed to grow also.

After long she developed another power, which drained her stamina quite quickly if repeated. She would focus the power not into a flame, but into a bright light on the arrowhead and then release the arrow once she had deemed there was enough power inside the arrow. The arrow would hit it's target with a large amount of force and light energy. To fire a volley of these however, would drain her of her stamina to a large degree, so she decided to not use this unless it was absolutely necessary.

Soon after gaining this second power she was called upon by the temple, and given the rank, Priestess of the moon which allowed her an enchanted bow and some armor. She decided to follow Elune while trying to keep Ashenvale from falling to corruption and ruin.

Skills and Abilities

Sae'lare is able to enchant her arrows with a flame made from Elune's light in order to burn through the wicked and those that would harm the balance of the forests. She is also able to fire an arrow that is heavily enchanted with Elune's light. She has the ability to fire volleys of these two kinds of arrow, but the arrows enchanted with elune's light take up much more of her stamina than the flame, rapid sucession would never happen.

Sae'lare is a skilled tracker and her marksmanship has been honed to a very fine point over her life. Also, added onto the mobility of her mounted combat form, she it able to quickly create or close distance between herself and others. Over her own injures and the injuries of others she met while pilgrimaging, she has learnt alchemy and first aid in order to assist those who she can.
