Rhunwyd is a calculating individual that leaves nothing to chance. To him law, tradition and boundaries are good things; they make other's actions more predictable and can be bent to serve his own means. But he is well aware of the condition of free will is that predictions can be wrong, when it comes to minds of others nothing is absolute. This distrustful nature of his make him prefer the company of his bent shadow-things.

'True power lie in the reins, not the ram itself. If disaster happens, the beast is put down, never the rider.'

History

Roughly a century before the First War a dwarf named Rigmor birthed a son, her first and the first of a generation. He came to bear the name Loknir the Second, after his great uncle who was the firstborn of the family's paragon. Rhunwyd is to one day shoulder the title as head of the Copperpot bloodline, as is tradition.

Rhunwyd was raised on the family's estate overlooking the Wetlands. His childhood was dominated by varied academical studies such as history, language and diplomacy alternated by travels and some manual labour in the stables or in the mining complex.

The heir was never fully invested in his studies until one day when he first got in contact with the Arcane. Along with the current head of the bloodline, his grandmother Margart he visited a gnome settlement in a corner of Dun Morogh. There, with his own eyes did he witness the miracle that is magic. A big mass of iron suspended in the air, heated and shaped without a forge or tools by a lass barely two feet in height. It was not long until Loknir solely studied the arcane arts.

With the political and diplomatic influences in much of what Rhunwyd was taught and his callous mindset it was an obvious development that he'd look into the manipulation of will and mind. Being flicked on the nose and told that it was deemed forbidden only made it more alluring to the dwarf. His search led him to a secluded group of practitioners in Ironforge, a coven dedicated to forbidden and darker aspects of magic. Joining the circle was a given to Rhunwyd, but he was hesitant at the thought of sharing name and face even though all before him had done the same. But as he came to find out, it was a price worth paying.

When a harbour was founded on the Wetlands shoreline Rhunwyd was chosen to represent Copperpot, being well versed in the common tongue and diplomacy. Soon enough he worked out a deal with a human from the northern archipelago, ram's horn and iron ore. A trading company was hired to ferry the shipment across Baradin Bay and Rhunwyd became well acquainted with them on the journey.

Almost a a decade passed Menethil Harbour re-construction and Rhunwyd has become an strong influence in the company's commerce.Using the considerable wealth and influence of his legacy Rhunwyd set out on a journey in search of knowledge and the arcane. He has spent little time at his family home the last few years, or even the dwarven kingdoms. With his mother alive and well, still leading the bloodline and his mysterious tutor gone for many years travel and trade keeps him busy elsewhere.
