History

Human History

David Webb was brought into the world as a kind boy. Up until his twentieth birthday he was always daydreaming about joining the guard of Lordaeron. For next year he spent his time studying and training to know everything that he could about the guard and their job. After completing training he patrolled the streets of Lordaeron with an aura of happiness around him.

He had achieved his dream of joining the guard and protecting the people of Lordaeron whom he loved dearly. David was always helping as many people as he could. And he would only draw his blade or arrest somebody when it was completely necessary. He would always try to avoid using violence but began to sink lower after a following two years after hearing that his mother had died. David began to try even harder to help people. But this lasted only for another year as his father also passed on. At this stage David could no longer take people he loved dying, he could no longer take the pain and sorrow of seeing his loved ones lifeless.

He began to drink to try to escape his pains, and became a very aggressive person. Another few years pass onto David's 27th birthday where he decided to stop drinking. Though only a few months into the year, the scourge came and obliterated everything. Though David and the rest of the guard tried to halt the oncoming forces. They were quickly dispatched of and David fell as another casualty on the scourge's rampage.

Undead History

David awoke on the battlefield and wondered why he didn't feel any pain. Or why he wasn't dead. After getting up he looked at strange figure standing before him. Apparently resurrecting everyone. 'Had they won?' Thought David. As the figure cast another spell. Resurrecting another of the fallen soldiers. David looked as the man with a sword in how abdomen rise and pull out the sword. David was scared when he looked down to see that he had a large claw mark across his chest, going through his armor. David yelled and frightened, asked “Why aren't I dead?!". David was only given a grunt and a snarl from the small creatures which seem to be resting near the feet of the strange figure. The figure moves on to summon a fallen scourge minion. David then realizing what he could be.

He attempts to run but is caught by a large voice in his head. Which he feels powerless against. He follows the scourge path as another of the mindless slaves. Until he is knocked unconscious by a large force from behind. David thinks 'Am I finally at peace?'. He rouses to find himself in a open coffin. He looks at his hands to see that they have turned a green color. Then is shocked to see that the skin from his arms and legs are completely gone. He gets up and out of the coffin to find himself in a crypt. He walks up the stairs and steps out into the night. He looks around to see a small town down a hill, filled with undead. David slowly moves towards the town, thinking that he could get some answers.

After learning of his time spent unconscious and that he was undead and no longer following the lich king. He decided not to use the name David, but to use a random name that he could relate to relief. He chose Rathuul because he was angry that he was dead but still alive. And he envied those that most likely would've survived the scourge and stayed living. He did work for the ones in the town and area that they called Deathknell.

After learning the ways of the land Rath began on his quest to find something to make himself in this new life he had been given. Rath worked in Brill and for the Undercity doing quests for whoever wanted them done. After he was done there, he tried to learn as much about the undead and their allies as he could. To find where he would be useful. Rath learned of how the undead were allied with the horde, and he began to despise the blood elves most because of the relaxed lifestyle they lived while the other races worked hard on their warriors rather than how to make themselves look pretty. Rath began to understand as much of why each race were apart of the horde, though confused why the orcs hadn't killed the elves, Rath continued his journeys and studies.

Rathuul slowly gained respect for the blood elves, as he saw them fight against the alliance with the horde. But he still despised them due to their similar features to the humans. Rathuul learnt about how the orcs and the tauren where honor bound warriors while the Elves practiced arcane magics.

After learning all this he began to train, to find new ways to kill his opponent and taught himself that making his opponents disabled by attacking their major limbs including the legs, arms and head.

Rathuul regretted this decision though thought that the Queen, Lady Sylvanas, was making decisions based upon either trust or how easy they would be to conquer. Rathuul began to despise the elves even more for their methods. Rath decided that he would find something amongst the undead that he could call himself, that he could restore the honor that he though he once had.

A few months of searching landed him upon a raid towards Uther's temple. After the battles had finished the group entered the temple, renounced Uther's heresy towards Lordaeron, and formed the Knights of the Queen. The Knights whom would protect Lordaeron against all enemies whether alive or undead.

These Knights would patrol the kingdom of Lordaeron to protect it's remains in the name of the Queen, following the War-lady and her instruction the Knights began to rise. After many months the Knights simply dissipated due to there being nothing left for them to do, which inspired Rathuul to finally take command. He set off in search of recruits for the New order of Knights.
