• Other: Ranko likes to use staves more than most weapons, but prefers spells and his claws (when in bear or cat form) over any weapon. Ranko believes that a good spell or ones' own hands/claws can outdo any weapon.

Appearance

Ranko is usually seen wearing tan Cenarion vestments along with tan gloves and boots. Ranko also wears a leather hat that covers his eyes.

Personality

Ranko is a gentle, humble, caring, compassionate Tauren, who is always willing to help those in need, thus giving him his motto “Always put the well-being of others before one's self”. Living in a nomadic tribe has caused him to be quite shy and a firm believer of teamwork. Ranko also has high standards for the law. If someone is in trouble, Ranko will always try to find a way to work with the law to help them, but, if it is absolutely necessary, Ranko will break the law to save someone who is in trouble. Ranko is also very trusting, maybe sometimes even TOO trusting.

History

Ranko Stargazer was born to his father, Astron, and his mother, Reina, of the Stargazer tribe. Astron Stargazer was a Tauren Warrior who was always willing to help out everyone of the tribe any way he could. Reina Stargazer was a Tauren Shaman who was renowned as a great healer throughout the tribe. One day, shortly after Ranko was born, a pack of ogres attacked the tribe. Astron tried to hold off as many of them as he could, but was quickly overwhelmed. Before the ogres could finish Astron off, 10 of the tribe's elite warriors took them down. Reina tried as best as she could to heal Astron, but could not. Astron died soon afterwards and was given a hero's burial. Ranko was too young to understand what had happened to his father and Reina blamed Astron's death on herself. Reina grieved for many years afterwards, becoming a Pacifist in the long run. Reina vowed to become a better healer so that she would not feel responsible for anyone else's death.

Ranko, growing up with only his mother became a Pacifist like his mother. This in turn made him different from the other Tauren his age and making him an outcast because of it. All Ranko's peers wanted to become warriors and go out into the world to make something of themselves… to become heroes through fighting glorious battles in the name of the Horde. All Ranko wanted to do was to help people, not fight or become a hero. So Ranko didn't want to become a warrior like his father. He didn't really know what he wanted to become until he was about 48 years old…

One night Ranko was out very late gazing at the night sky. His only friend at the time, Anzyl, came along to get him and bring him back home as it was dangerous to be out late at night in that part of Mulgore. On the way back to the village, Ranko and Anzyl were suddenly attacked by a wandering ogre. Ranko told Anzyl to run back to the village as quickly as she could while he held off the ogre. Ranko found a nearby stick to defend himself with and, by pure luck, as the ogre charged at him, it tripped and fell onto the stick that Ranko was holding. The stick went deeply through the ogre's eye, killing him instantly. Ranko believed that the Earthmother had saved him that night for some purpose, and so Ranko became and felt indebted to the Earthmother.

After the night with the ogre, Ranko knew what he wanted to do. Ranko decided he would work with nature, becoming a druid, but a healer, like his mother. Ranko left his tribe at age 48 to venture to the fabled Moonglade to learn to become one with nature as a druid.

After 4 years of training into the ways of druidic restoration, Ranko left Moonglade to seek out his purpose in life, the same purpose he believes the Earthmother saved him to fulfill, vowing one day to return home to his mother and his dear friend Anzyl.

Additional/Other Info on History: Being a Pacifist, Ranko does not wish to fight anyone whether they be Alliance or Horde, nor does he feel a kinship toward either faction. Ranko likes to maintain a type of neutrality towards everyone he meets; he never judges a book by its cover. So Ranko feels that he is neither of Alliance or Horde, but a druid of the Cenarion Circle, a Tauren of neutrality. Although Ranko like to keep his neutrality among the many different races before he can really KNOW what the race is like, Ranko feels a strong hatred towards ogres for killing his father and almost killing him. Although Ranko is not the type to hold a grudge, nor the type to want to kill anything, Ranko wouldn't mind seeing all ogres eliminated from existence or at least from Mulgore and other Tauren territories.

• Side Note: Even though Ranko won't admit it to the members of the Horde, Ranko feels no hatred towards the Alliance races and would even be willing to help any of them if they were in trouble or hurt. Ranko doesn't admit this so that he is able to come and go through Horde cities to acquire supplies as he pleases. Ranko will help everyone who is in need of help. No matter their race or faction.

Recent History

Current History: Ranko joined a Mercenary group as a Healer for a time in order to take down a "corrupt" paladin, but soon left after the leader of the group left an innocent to die because of something that their father had done. Ranko then joined the House of Autumn to seek out and destroy all those with evil hearts. Ranko soon left this group as well after feeling that there was not enough being done about the evil in the world. Ranko then joined "The Blades of Valor" to fight alongside "The House of Autumn" in a pursuit to destroy "The Heretic Circus" and all other evils in the world.

The House of Autumn and The Blades of Valor have officially joined forces to create, The Blade of Autumn, in their continued attempt to defeat The Heretic Circus.
