Quillon is naturally suited for a leader's role; he is quick-witted, sharp and decisive--he's usually right, too.

Hair: Charcoal black; a bland, unsightly military cut and adequately groomed facial hair.

Appearance

Quillon is tall and wiry with a slim, weathered figure. A lifetime of survival in the forests of Azeroth hasn't done much for Quillon's complexion; his skin is riddled with scars and general wear. He has quite meaty upper arms due to his time using a longbow. Quillon's armour is leather and hide, fashioned mostly from bovine and lupine respectively. He usually keeps a tabard of Stromgarde on.

Personality

Quillon is a man of few words; a reserved and observant introvert that keeps his business to himself and expects others to do the same. Placing manners high up in his priorities, he is inherently respectful and courteous. Although he may come off as shy or even grumpy, Quillon is, overall, a fairly kind person; he would go out of his way to aid a stranger so long as he thought the risk was worth taking.

Quillon firmly believes in the chain of command; whether his superior be of noble, military or other descent, he will take their words to heart - sometimes a bit too much; more than a few times blind trust has gotten him into trouble. However, he also expects the same from those under his command and is quickly angered by those who assume their word to be more relevant than his in military matters.

Quillon spends most of his time out in the field, and wouldn't have it any other way. Whether he is stationed in Darkshire or Strom, he will always be working overtime to ensure the job is done as efficiently as possible. A staunch Alliance loyalist, Quillon is somewhat taken up the tales of glory and valour and quite despises the Horde--perhaps a little more than they deserve.

History

Quillon's grandfather's grandfather's grandfather, Quillon, was first given the title Stormfeather when he managed to knock a bird out of the sky from a hundred paces while blindfolded. Naturally, it was a complete fluke, but the legend has been skewed enough to grant his kin a fancy surname and a legend to boast about.

The relevant Quillon was born just a few years before the First War. Luckily, he and his family were out of harm's way by about half a continent, but his parents were still as scared as any by the news. Quillon was born to a Ranger father; his small family of three lived in a lodge situated in the Arathi forests. Growing up, Quillon was gently introduced to the life of a forest-man by his father, who had had the same by his father, and the same by his father, and the same by...

Quillon was barely eleven by the time the next war came about. This time, he was regaled with whispers of the Grand Alliance of Lordaeron. A young child is a malleable one, and Quillon had dreams of leaving to fight by that age. Naturally, his father wouldn't hear a word of it, although he was given a bow to practice with. Probably to shut him up.

The third war was a little bit more eventful for the Stormfeather family, mainly due to the fact that Quillon was well old enough to fight this time. Stromgarde was instrumental in fighting back the Scourge; Quillon's first taste of them. That was a succesful campaing, but, then, Stromgarde assaulted by the Syndicate, Witherbark and Ogres. He and his father amongst many others fought back to little avail. His father slain amongst many, Quillon was lucky to escape with his life.

Camping out amongst the forests of Arathi, Quillon was thrust into the role of a leader against his will when a small group of men similar to him looked to the (barely) elder for guidance. Reluctantly, Quillon commanded them through the tumult - they would stalk the woods, hunting any stray foe and rescuing refugees of Strom as best they could. This group was one of the many Stromgardian forces that earned them the respected name they have today.

When equilibrium was somewhat restored, Quillon was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Taking great pride in his rank, he was put in charge of a group of six rangers who would serve as a scouting, hunting and tracking force to protect Strom. The kingdom faced many enemies, and Quillon's exemplary work earned him another promotion in less than a year.

A good few years was spent in service, and eventually the campaign to Northrend came about. Quillon, now the equivalent of a Knight, was sent to frozen north with his band of Rangers. Though times were difficult and the war was gruesome, most of them returned alive. Quillon played no particular heroic role in this campaign.

Returning to the Eastern Kingdoms, Quillon now commands his rangers wherever they need to be at the rank of a Knight-Lieutenant.
