Player: Krent

Character Full Name: Quendae Tal'Yaen.

Character In-Game Name: Quendae

Nickname(s): Quen.

Association(s): Silvermoon High Nobility.

Race: Blood Elf

Class: Mage

Age: 103 years (Near teenager-ish in Belf years)

Sex: Male

Hair: Orange, neatly combed and long.

Eyes: Green (gasp!)

Weight: 126 lbs. Quendae is very skinny. The boy couldn't flex a muscle to save his life, and thus very bad at physical activity.

Height: 6' 4"

Alignment: Lawful Neutral - Quendae doesn't know much about morality. The boy has lived an extremely sheltered life, and therefore has no wisdom to draw upon what is "right" and "wrong". The only thing he knows is the general workings of laws, and thus follows them to the letter without trying to sway one way or the other.

Appearance

Only finest and most expensive garbs his family approves of him wearing. Quendae's wardrobe is so extravagant it could sustain a poor community for decades.

Other: Due to vision problems, Quendae needs to wear glasses. They're thick, and they're heavy. Makes him less charismatic by perfectionalist blood elf standards.

Personality

Shy. Painfully so. Quendae is a borderline schizoid. The only interaction he gets with others is from a very small circle of extended family members and the servants under them, thus pushing Quendae to act in an unintentionally ignorant manner towards other people. He finds communication with others terrifying and painful, and will most likely avoid any contact with them unless absolutely necessary.

He's also very nerdy. If given the choice to go out on a stroll with someone or lock himself in with a book, he'll choose the latter without a second's hesitation.

History

Some children are born well off. Some children are born rich. And then, there are those children who are born into a family who's wealth exceeds all measure. Quendae was born into such a family, which was the product of two extremely rich houses coming together to make one.

Quendae's father was a skilled alchemist who ran a small institution dedicated on experimenting with various compounds. It strives to determine what happens when X gets mixed with Y. He had written and published various books about the subject and reaped plenty of wealth from doing so Quendae's mother was an aggressive entrepreneur who lived, breathed, and bled all things business. She controlled a vast number of banking accounts which provided investments to anything that was even remotely profitable. The pair had met and fallen in love over a funding transaction on a research project. How romantic.

When the Tal'Yaen house had been established, the combined wealth of both parents was enough to immediately buy a luxurious private villa a few miles away from Silvermoon City. It was constructed with all sorts of unnecessary attentions to luxury and beauty, filled with plenty of servants to staff it. Even as a little child, Quendae had a team of servants cleaning, cooking, and dressing him.

This led to a very sheltered childhood. Quendae was never allowed a chance to go outside the villa. His parents were always far away with their work. Father down at his institution's lab trying to brew up a new potion, mother always over seas negotiating a tough business transaction. Being the only child of the family also meant he had no siblings to care for. He was a pampered little prince, sitting spoiled with his toys and servants.

But, it didn't shape him the way one would usually expect. Instead of becoming a bossy member of the faux-royal upper class, Quendae withdrew into himself. He stayed inside. He didn't talk to anyone. The boy would spend all his days locked away inside, avoiding the beauty of his outside estate for the parchment of a book. At first Quendae started to lean the way of his father, taking an interest in the properties of Alchemy and what made a potion do it's stuff.

But then the boy started studying magic. Seeing the vast amount of books, theories, practices, and insights on the art completely enthralled him. It was there that the boy decided he would study to become a mage, dabbling in alchemy as more of a side project.

Yet, there's more to life than books and parchment. For all the many comforts and luxury his status has given him, it came with the cost of a slow, social-stunting progression. Quendae is bordering on schizoid disorder, having a severe distaste for social interaction. When in a social setting, the young blood elf becomes agitated and afraid, sometimes unable to communicate with others due to a phobia of other people.

When his parents started to notice this, they foolishly reinforced his progression by sheltering the boy even more. This had led to Quendae interacting only with members of the extended family; one of which resulting in the boy harboring a crush for an attractive female cousin of his. Which, of course, led to even more psychological mind fuckery.

The melting pot within the blood elf's mind is brewing to be a psychotic mess. If left unchecked he could easily slip into being a twisted individual of the upper class. Yet, at the same time, his high intellect and influential position could help do good things for the Sin'Dorei.

Question being, will the young boy be able to ever break out of his shell and become a shining intellectual? Or will the gears just break down in a psychotic mess, leading him down a more destructive life style....?
