Alignment: Lawful-Good

Personality: Patrick is a very welcoming man. He will not judge other races based on what they have been accused of. He likes talking with different races on both factions trying to learn about them as a person, as well as learn more about their history. He loves to spend a lot of his time alone, usually fishing. As this to him calms him down in times that he is troubled, and it can be a very fun sport. He will go around to everyone asking if they would like any fresh fish to eat. If they say yes, he gets very happy because he likes sharing his catch with other people. Basically it is like an acceptance sorta of thing. If you eat some of his fish he will likely look at you with greater respect. If you even mention fishing to him he will go nuts telling you all about his fishing stories, so if there is nothing to talk about and you want a little humor this is a good thing to mention. He is a very warm character, giving respect to almost everyone even if they don't deserve that respect. If you are friendly with him he will return the same kindness to you as well. He has learned through his experiences that everyone makes mistakes and that they can be forgiven. He likes to do many adventurous things such as diving off waterfalls. If you get to know him quite a bit he will take you on his different adventures. As for a relationship. Patrick is rather shy when this topic comes up. If he is teases by another women he usually stutters a lot, blushes, and scratches his neck in embarrassment. Some, find this entertaining as they torture him further.

History: Patrick was born on a small cattle farm in Elwynn Forest among his two younger twin sisters by two years, Sophia and Valarie; his father, Michael; and his mother, Andrea. Their farm had a small, yet cozy home that kept the family warm and safe quite comfortably. They had two half acre areas that were fenced in for the cattle. All of the cattle would be in one area eating the grass to keep them well fed while the other side the grass grew long enough to switch the cattle over and repeat the process to always have a source of grass for the them. Also near the farm was a small little garden that grew many different vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, beans, tomatoes, squash, peppers, and many other miscellaneous vegetables just for the family to eat and enjoy.

Andrea was a priestess that did many of her studies and praying in the Stormwind Cathedral, whom she had ended up meeting Michael who was a paladin. They had talked for many months sharing stories of their various adventures. They ended up dating for a year and a half before Michael proposed to her and started their new life and family.

After they had married and moved out into Elwynn Forest they settled down and started up the small farm. The reason why two light users are living on a farm was more for their children than anything. The father was born and raised on a farm similar to theirs and knew it taught him many things from responsibilities for taking care of the animals and a great respect for them as well.

Patrick started helping out on the farm since he was six years old only doing small chores until he then was responsible for keeping the farm going at the age of fourteen. He tended to do the more hard labor type jobs such as lifting heavy fertilizers to keep the grass growing nice and full, picking up the cow dung in heavy wheelbarrows, and also keeping the grass nice and clean for the them to eat by raking. The sisters did more of the cleaning aspect of the farm washing and milking the cows.

This work alongside with his sisters has strengthened their bond ever so tightly. This made them very close to each other as they would share any secrets they had. When aside from his daily routines of farm work, his mother always brought him and the sisters to the Cathedral everyday as she wanted their paths to follow the light as well. They spent two hours each day at the Cathedral praying and studying about the Light and it's history.

In Patrick's free time his father would train him on the side of the house which was a flat grassy area which made it suitable for basic training. His father would first teach him very basics of fighting without weapons. Such as grappling moves, punch and kick combos, as well as how to break free of different holds. After many weeks of this type of training they started training with wooden swords practicing many types of parrys, cross strikes, and more.

His father also go Patrick a horse at the age of fifteen which he had learned how to horseback ride. The first lessons were simply to tame the horse and get her under control which took a solid few weeks for her to gain Patrick's trust. Soon he began riding around the cattle herding them up which helped his training even further. After he had gotten acquainted with his horse, after about six months, he began jumping small objects such as low fences and crates. This strengthened the horse and made Patrick a better rider.

Many years of training with his father learning these techniques and strengthening the others made Patrick quiet the fighter. His father helped him training with his stamina as well. He made Patrick run for miles across the forest. Sometimes to do errands bringing people letters or boxes of dairy products. The running then got more intense as his father began tying small sand bags around his ankles and wrist, which immensely improved Patrick's strength and endurance.

Aside from running he also was taught to swim at a young age. His father would take small colored stones and throw them into a pound saying that he should not return to the surface unless he had found all the stones or passed out from lack of oxygen. His father punished him every time he did something wrong to make Patrick make sure to not make the same mistake again. As time progressed his father continued to add more rocks as Patrick's lung capacity greatly increased.

During this time Patrick started fishing which he enjoyed very much on the little free time he had to relax and have fun. His fishing rod was simply a rectangle shaped wood plank wrapped with thread from his old clothing and a hook with a small weight on the end. He would bring in any fish he caught to his family so they could enjoy his catch.

Patrick had continued his training, maintaining the farm, and regular visits the Cathedral for the next couple of years. During which the third war had started and the fall of Lordaeron to the plague had begun. Patrick was seventeen at this point.

A year later his father went into Duskwood as he heard suspicious demonic activity from fellow citizens of Darkshire. Him and two other Paladins of Stormwind followed as they went to investigate what was going on.

They arrived at the crypt which had the stench of fel all over it. Patrick's father was holding a fine crafted blade in one hand and a shield in the other (The same one as in the description.) The other two men had maces that they had equipped.

The three carefully opened to the large wooden door being extremely cautious making sure there weren't any traps. They began their descend down into the darkness with only one of the men wielding a torch lit the way. The passed a lab which had numerous vials containing green foul liquid and on crude tables were corpses that looked to been rotting for quite some time. The other two paladins swallowed seeing the horrific sight as Patrick's father remained calm as they pressed even further.

They eventually reached the bottom of the crypt where they could hear a crazed forsaken talking to himself while he was mixing some chemicals together. The alchemist quickly turning around adjusting his goggles tilting his head from side to side examining the three paladins in their glorious armour. "Oh, me like shiny...You have brought shiny for Duncan?" He crooked scratching his head as several bugs scattered out of his lifeless skull. Patrick's father looked sternly at the forsaken. "I've come here to end you and your cruel experiments." He says raising his blade pointing at Duncan. His face contorted angrily as he yelled. "No! Master will not be pleased if his experiments are at a standby...Master would not give Duncan shineys! But...you will give me shineys!" He maliciously rubbed his hands together grinning as he quickly goes over to a set of levers pulling one.

A latch above the three paladins opens and a bright green liquid splashes onto them. Patrick's father looks up...but it is too late. He throws his shield at Duncan which cuts into his stomach as the shield slams into the wall trapping Duncan between the wall and the shield. The forsaken let's out a blood curdling shriek in pain as he tries to remove the shield.

The paladins are now covered with this foul green acid which begins eating away at their armour! Soon it reaches their skin. All three men begin shouting in pain as the acid eats at their skin. They try to make desperate attempts to heal but their was so much acid that they could not win against these odds. Duncan finally removes the shield cussing as he kicks over Patrick's father who is slowly dying in the acid. Soon the screams are silent as they are completely eaten away by the acid. Duncan looks at all of the armour begins to disappear and frowns. He then turns towards the shield smiling. "Duncan can fix self...Duncan has shiney! Master will reward Duncan for what he has done!"

News came to Patrick and his family that their father had gone missing and have been no reports of where they may be. Patrick and his family were worried sick hoping for the best but thinking of the worst things that could've happened.

A month of time had passed by and they're family had to accept that his father either died or was held prisoner in some dirty cell locked tight away from any of his screams to be heard. Patrick, however, thought that his father was still out there. He wanted to go searching for him. His mother told him that it was way to dangerous for that to happen.

About two weeks past as the family tried to live their regular lifestyle. Patrick now being eighteen years old...and the last large impact on his life:

___________________________________________________________________________________________________ It was a bright Sunday morning and still no word from father. My sisters are still crying over Dad being gone, but I still have hope! I think he's out there fighting those nasty demons! I mean my father is a very strong man. Surely he can't die that easily. I have to be man of this household now and keep my sisters calm during this time. My mother doesn't speak much of it and anytime she sees anyone of us talking about it she'll scowled us telling us everything is going to be fine! She doesn't show it, but I know that she really is worried on the inside too. She's just trying to be protective.

I was just getting ready to start moving the cattle to he second pen. I began moving 'ol Betsey first and then my mother came out of the house walking up to me. "I'm going into Stormwind to pickup a few things from the grocer." She said. "Alright..." I replied. "Take care of your sisters. And Patrick..." I looked up at her as she held me be the cheeks with both hands. "Everything is going to be alright." She gave a reassuring smile. I nodded giving a slight smile back. "I-I know..." With that she kissed my forehead and headed out to Stormwind. I continued to move all of the cattle into the second pen and couldn't stop thinking about my father.

After about twenty minutes I saw a man covered in black clothing from head to toe holding something that was wrapped up in leather. Who on earth is that? I wondered. I started walking up to him stopping a good distance from him crossing my arms raising a brow. "Can I help you, sir?" I questioned as the man proceeded to walk closer.

"I bring you news of your father..." replied the man.

My eyes widened as a cold chill ran up my spine. "Wh-what news?" I said as I walked up closer to the man.

"I was one that stood by his side in combat..." He said.

My face slightly narrowed. "Why didn't you tell us sooner?! We have been worried sick! Where is he?!" I panicked.

"We'll I was held captive for the time until I was able to escape with my life still intact..." He said grinning under his cloak.

I swallowed looking down at the large item wrapped in leather. "Well you don't sound to well! You sound quite sick actually...But where is my father?!" I demanded answers.

"Ah yes...part of the plague that we I had been affected with...I'm currently on the road to recover however." He said grinning even wider behind that cloak.

I stomped my foot on the ground yelling. "Where is my Father?!!" He got down on his knee to get closer to my level.

"Child...let me tell you the story now." He than began telling me the story of him and the Paladins heading into the the crypt but said that he escaped from the falling acid but was captured instead.

I just stood there in shock my face starting to fill up with tears as he lowered the leather covered item closer to me. I looked up at the man with red eyes as I reluctantly took the very heavily wrapped item and removed the leather...It was my father's shield.

"He would've wanted you to have this kid..." He said putting a hand on my shoulder which had an icy chill to touch.

I just stood there staring at the shield in shock looking up at the man nodding. I then noticed that his mid region had a bandage wrapped around it tightly.

"Do you have anyone else in your...family that is here now?" He said covering up his mid range.

I shook my head as if being stuck in a trance for a moment then nodded quickly. "Yeah...my sisters are over in the house back there..." I said pointing a thumb behind me at the house with a dead stare at the shield as tears filled up my eyes.

The man nodded. "Thank you..." and began walking away.

I quickly stood up as he was walking away. "Wait! Sir!"

The man turned around tilting his head. "Hmm?"

I asked. "What's your name?"

He paused for a moment before uttering the word. "Duncan."

A chill ran up my spine for some reason as he said so. "Thank you, Duncan..." I said giving a slight bow as he bowed as well.

I went back to sitting down starting at the shield. "Stupid, stupid, stupid! Father you weren't supposed to die! That guy didn't even fight you honorable like you told me! It's not fair...It's not fair!" I repeated holding my dads only remains as I let tears flow from my face down my chin. "You're supposed to be the good guy! The good guy never looses!..." I continued crying mourning my fathers death.

I slowly stopped crying wiping the tears that had been pouring down my face. Then, all of a sudden I heard both of my sisters screaming. It was the most death defiled scream I've ever heard. My heart began racing as I was running back to the house thinking one of them got cut by a knife or something. I sprinted as fast as I could as the screams grew louder as they yelled for their lives.

I busted into the door and saw that both of my sisters....were covered in a green liquid as I watched in horror as their faces were being eaten away. They slowly tried to crawl at me for any hope of help they could get as they were helplessly being eaten away by this foul acid. I stood there mouth wide open just staring at my sisters looking around not sure of what I could even do.

I just stood there...Their cries were cut off as it ate through their lungs and vital organs. I looked at the doorway and saw that Duncan was standing there and laughed in the most evil of ways sending chills up my spine. "You know that forsaken I was talking about?" He says grinning from ear to ear as he slowly removed his hood. His eyes were lifeless as his face looked like it had been reconstructed with more than one skull. Bugs crawled out of the little holes running down his neck and into his robe. "I killed your father." He says laughing as it sends another freezing chill up my spine. I quickly got up in anger and ran up to attack him but he called forth his undead skeleton horse and galloped into the forest laughing menacingly.

Two hours later my mother walked into the door. "I'm hooom-" Hear eyes widen as she looked at the disintegrated spot on the floor and I was curled up in a ball crying rocking back and forth. "What the fel happened, Patrick? Where are your sisters?!" I remained crying as I lifted my left hand which was shaking violently as I pointed at the spot where they horribly were another victim of the foul acid. "What?! What are you talking about?" I then explained everything to her. How I was tricked and how he had killed father the same way as he did to the twins. She hugged me tightly as we both cried having a river of sorrow for the ones we loved...

A week later the Cathedral held a funeral out by our farm. A lot of my mother and father's fellow Light users came to this very sad event. They did a very nice job with the sermon, though. Many came up and said a few words for our family. It was a very sad day for me. So much death in so little time that I could barely handle it.

But I just couldn't believe what had just happened. Then I began thinking...Why did Duncan come back and explain what happened giving me my fathers shield? Why did he kill my sisters and not me? Would he have killed my mother too if she were home? Will he come back for her? I then focused on the reason why he didn't kill me. Does he know that I will seek out my fathers revenge and will come after him? What does he want with me... ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

After this terrible tragedy, Patrick then began training on become a Paladin as he wanted to put whoever had done this down and prevent anything else like this from happening again. He took his fathers inheritance, who had been saving in the bank for many years, and decided to buy himself the set of armour he has today.

He then moved to live in Duskwood where he currently lives now after he had been training as a Paladin of the cathedral for many years to strengthen himself with the light. He consistently goes and check on his mother several times a week to see how she is doing. He doesn't tend to give out his surname due to the fact he wants to protect his mother if somehow that led to it. He's very protective of her now that this has happened. While in Duskwood he got a better understanding of where this Forsaken may be or find any possible trails of it. Patrick finally found the crypt where his father died in and it was completely cleaned out with any evidence...but he did not know that this was the crypt his father and fellow paladins died in.

His search continues to this day as he tries to find out what happened to this creature named Duncan...
