History:

Two hundred years before he was born, his grandfather, a Dark Iron, forcefully violated a helpless Ironforge-born female. Their child would become Oynas' father, making Oynas 1/4 Dark Iron.

Growing up, Oynas was nothing special, he was often shunned due to his Dark Iron heritage, though his family has always been allied with the Ironforge Dwarves.. His father was a hunter, and half Dark Iron. His mother was a waitress in the local inn. He was your average dwarf. Oynas knew nothing of magic, or battle.

When he became old enough, he was sent to Ironforge by his father to be an apprentice to a blacksmith. For years Oynas shaped metal into fine swords and axes, but deep in his heart, he knew he wanted more.

He has always been intrigued with the way fire works, the way it can destroy, yet also create. This would later lead him to focus more on fire-based runes.

One day, while delivering a shipment of swords to Loch Modan, he came across a Dwarven Runemaster who was being attacked, or attacking, a large wild bear. Oynas could spot several runes scattered across its body, shining bright and wild. Eventually, the bear was defeated and the Dwarf carried the body away. Due to Oynas' natural curiosity, he left the shipment where it was, and followed as best he could.

He followed the Dwarf who eventually stopped at a camp. Oynas watched as the Dwarf started to do a ritual, however it was stopped short because Oynas stepped on a stick, creating a snapping sound.

Oynas peered down at the stick, then back towards the camp, which was now empty, save a bear carcass. Oynas looked around before the large Dwarf stood before him, runes glittering as it asked what he was doing following him. Oynas explained to the Dwarf that he was interested in what the runes did, and wanted to learn.

The Dwarf naturally didn't want to teach him, but Oynas was persistent, as his personality states. He continued to stay with the Dwarf. He usually just bothered the Dwarf, though when given the chance, he would cook the food for both of them, and helm move the camp.

One day, the Dwarf finally decided to teach him the arts of the Runemaster. He explained what a Runemaster is, and what it requires of you. He took Oynas to the Badlands to begin his training and to learn his first rune, he was taken to a group of canyons, in which the rune of increasing your speed comes from.

First, Oynas was taught how to draw the rune in the sand, he practiced for a few days, a little under a week until he got the rune symbol perfect. Once that was completed, he was taught by the Dwarf to empower it, it seemed to come naturally to him since the dwarves were once Earthen.

Oynas was forced to spend weeks meditating in those canyons, the Dwarf and Oynas never talked, they simple stayed put, eyes closed and breathing steady. They only ate small amounts once a day, to maximize meditation time. Once the Dwarf felt that Oynas has made a decent connection to the Ley-Line in the zone, he instructed Oynas to create the rune on his body, then empower it.

Oynas inscribed the rune has had been practicing onto his thigh, the process took him a little under an hour. Once he inscribed it, he flooded it with arcane energy, empowering the rune, allowing him to move at greater speeds when wanted.

His Dwarf mentor was very pleased with Oynas, to celebrate, he made Oynas run for two hours along side him back to Loch Modan.

Throughout the next few years, the Dwarf took it slow with Oynas, teaching him one rune every two years, sometimes even longer, and only after they traveled to the area where the Ley Lines were located for it.

Once the Dwarf felt Oynas' training was complete, he and Oynas had one final ritual, one that would not only celebrate his completion, but also bid farewell to his mortal body, for the Dwarf was old and dying.

Once the ritual was complete, Oynas did as he was instructed, and buried the Dwarf in Loch Modan, where they first met.

Once that was complete, Oynas would have been around a hundred years of age, the Dwarf would have died at around age 320. Oynas started his training at around age 60, and the Dwarf would have been around age 280.

As Oynas continued his travels, he visited the Alliance cities. One such visit was during the beginning of the Second War. Oynas was approached by a military commander of the dwarves, and was recruited on the spot.

Oynas was convinced to join to battle the Horde. Originally, he was fit into full-plate, and was made to use a sword and shield, he was your general dwarven footman. When time for battle came, Oynas tried to activate several of his runes, though he found that the heavy armor, and the use of the weapons made him significantly weaker due to their inability to activate.

Because of his inability to activate the runes, in the first small battle he took quite the beating, bruises on his body and cuts through his plate. When his body was bandaged, he kicked off his plate boots and removes his plate pants, revealing bare feet and tattered pants and of course the runes on his body which flickered as Oynas looked over them. The matron who bandaged him asked what they were, though Oynas didn't have time to answer because the horn was blown, signaling another battle.

Oynas stepped onto the battle-field wearing nothing but pants, all of his squad-mates gawked at him, and his commander questioned why he would do such things, he simply ignored him as the battle had started. Oynas strode into battle, activating runes and smashing plate as he attacked.

Oynas stopped one time, he looked down at his hands and saw the blood of orcs and shed a tear as he did so. Oynas looked around and saw humans and dwarves alike fighting orcs, dying and killing. He clenched his fists and went back to the infirmary where he grabbed a robe from a rack and put it on, after which he ran from the battle, in order to escape the bloodshed.

After he left the war zone, he made a promise to himself to not participate in that bloodshed ever again. This would then lead to his avoidance of battle unless necessary, making him more of a neutral person.

During the time of the third war Oynas actively tried to avoid the battles as best he could, even if that meant activating a rune and running away from a recruiter. Though, more often than not, he would have been in secluded areas near ley-lines, meditating.

Presently, Oynas is traveling around Azeroth, making allies and trying to do what he can to help those in need of it. Oynas uses his runic powers to heal those who are wounded, and will use his runic powers to battle those that threaten the safety of his friends. "Men, for every filthy orc you kill here today.. Will be a lesson. A lesson that Thrall forgot to teach Garrosh.. The lesson, that Stormwind will never fall! GLORY TO THE ALLIANCE!".
