Whatever they command he will do without the slightest hesitation or care.

Appearance

Olraeyn's usually seen walking around in his full plate armor because it doesn't feel uncomfortable to him at all.

Personality

Cynical, rude, profane, nihilistic. Olraeyn doesn't care about anything. Whatever emotions he had during life died inside of him a long time ago. He shows no care for the living, his comrades, or even his own being. Olraeyn also doesn't trouble himself in the way that some Death Knights do when they cling to their humanity. He learned to let go of everything, and now strives to be a living weapon. One that's only concerned with following orders and doing them well. Free will is overrated.

History

Once upon a time Olraeyn Harrowcrag lived a life that any good dwarf should. He came from humble roots, enrolled himself in the Ironforge Military, and trained to be a rifleman. An honest-to-Light dwarf, he aided the Alliance in many military battles and slowly built up a family with the woman he loved. Olraeyn would have two children, with another one on the way. Everything was good.

And then he died.

During one of the Lordaeron campaigns, Olraeyn was ripped apart by a pack of ravenous ghouls that had breached his division's front line. His last memories of life were that of horror, writhing in a pond of his own blood as ghouls tore out everything that was lying inside his stomach. There, Olraeyn would remain as just another forgotten causality of war.

And then all the Death Knight bullshit happened.

Raised from the dead. Put together on an assembly line. Thrown a rune blade, imbued with dark powers, and set loose upon the world under the Lich King's command. Yep. Olraeyn came back as another tool in the Lich King's vast arsenal, and would continue to be so until the Battle for Light's Hope Chapel.

After the battle, Olraeyn would be gain free will again. Something that would prove to be very troublesome for a Light worshiping rifleman-now-Death Knight. He spent many hours in isolation wracked by the usual existential crisis. Trying to cope with all the horrible things he did under the Lich King's command. Asking himself 'Why me?' over and over again.

And then Olraeyn had an epiphany.

In a stroke of genius (or madness), Olraeyn was able to solve the crisis of undeath with one simple answer. It didn't matter. Nothing did. There was no meaning or purpose behind his creation. Not in life, not in death. The Light that he had so fervently followed wasn't real. That, or it had abandoned him long ago. Try as he did, he couldn't feel anything towards the memories of his loved ones. Olraeyn realized that he didn't care if his own wife and children were alive.

Everything, in Olraeyn's mind, was the result of random chance. Statistical variances that came by complete accident. Sometimes they were good, sometimes they were bad, but all life was dictated by randomized chaos. His wife, his children, his friends and comrades - they were nothing more than organic entities destined condemned to meet the same end he did. Death. All the kingdoms in Azeroth, from the Horde to Alliance, would also meet this same end. Destruction.

Eventually, everything withers away into dust. Nothingness. All the hopes and dreams, all the events of one's life, all markings of existence fade into the inevitable obscurity that marks the future. Olraeyn would meet his second end in undeath eventually. Until then, he would stand as a timeless prisoner, watching Azeroth's slow decay into nothingness. Condemned to free will.

Why care about it? Why get emotionally invested in anything? Why not just accept the initial purpose the Death Knight's creation? In that they were created to be weapons. Simply one tool in a diverse arsenal, used for destruction of the most terrifying degree. The Lich King was the one who held the tool at first. Now it's in the hands of the Ebon Blade.

So be it. Olraeyn resigned all hopes, emotions, and dreams, to dedicate himself to servitude. He would work only train himself tirelessly. Any orders that were passed down to Olraeyn were never questioned. For the remainder of his undeath, the dwarf has carried out all tasks assigned to him with haste and efficiency.

Such a successful mission history combined with his unquestioning loyalty resulted in the Ebon Blade making Olraeyn one of it's "hunters". When not assigned to military sorties in Northrend, Olraeyn would be tasked with hunting down "rogue" Death Knights and destroying them. Considering major military action has not started within the Northrend area, this has been Olraeyn's current priority.

He doesn't mind. Undeath, to Olraeyn, is all about following orders. Hunt Death Knights. Fight scourge. Destroy whatever gets in your way. Olraeyn will do whatever is commanded to him for the rest of his existence, until his inevitable second death comes.

His only hope is that the second time brings closure.
