Character In-Game Name: Ogarloktra

Nickname(s): Greatmother

Association(s): The Horde, Shadowmoon Clan

Class: Battle Shaman

Skills and Abilities: Ogarlok'tra is a respectable melee combatant, even in her advanced years. While she may not have the power of an Orc in their prime, years of combat have increased her tactical ability, allowing her to use cunning to get the upper hand over stronger or quicker opponents. She is skilled with her axes or her bare fists, and her strong will allows her to take hits and fight her way back to her feet.

After many years under the Blood Curse, and after finally shaking its influence after the death of Mannaroth, the spirits have begun to answer her call once again. They mostly aid her through the speed of the wind aiding the trajectory of her strikes or the searing burn of lighting and flame upon impact. She can also heal injuries in the presence of water, the element sometimes choosing to soothe her bruises after battle.

Age: 60

Sex: Female

Hair: Grayish white

Eyes: Green

Weight: 200lbs

Height: 6'

Appearance

She wears an old and scratched up set of mail and leather armor, complete with a leather skull mask.

Other: Her body is adorned with old scars from battle all over her skin, along with some fresh scars. Her wrinkles and unkempt mane of grayish white hair betray her age, though she postures herself as one still ready for combat. Her body is covered with Orcish words, which together forms a Lok'tra (battle song). An Orc who can read it would understand it as: "Blood of my enemy/Moon of shadow/Mountain of courage/Daughter of sorrow/The holder of the blade is god".

Personality

Alignment: Neutral Good

Ogarlok'tra is a strongly traditional Orc, having been raised in her people's culture from birth. She values honor above all things, and will go through any lengths for the defense of her people. She shows no regret of her past actions, as she believes all the actions she took were in what she believed was the best interests of her people. She does not wish for people to take it easy on her because of her age, and will throw herself into the heart of battle to prove that she can still make a difference. She is fond of brawling, quick to show her usually younger opponents that they should not judge a book by its cover, lest they end up on their rears. She generally maintains a serious and straight-forward demeanor.

History

Ogarlok'tra Dreamshatter was born to the Shadowmoon Clan decades before the opening of the Dark Portal. Her mother was a farseer, and during Ogarlok'tra's difficult birth, visions of battle and destruction came to her mother's mind, along with the appearance of a middle-aged, battle-worn Orc warrior covered in blood. Seeing this as an omen of things to come, the name she would bestow upon her daughter translated to "battle song of death". She would come to regret the name, and attempting to avoid the bleak future she saw for her child, Ogarlok'tra's mother instructed her the path of the shaman at a very early age. Her goal was to connect her daughter with the spirits, that they may spare her the violence foretold while allowing her an honorable path.

Ogarlok'tra grew up to be a strong and dutiful Orc. Given a simple axe, she took to the task of completing her Om'riggor with gusto, and upon returning with the slain talbuk the elders spoke of what a strong warrior she would become. This was to the chagrin of her mother, who would normally be thrilled if not for the visions which still haunted her. This fear would come to realization when the clan's chieftain, Ner'zhul, came to believe that the Draenei were becoming a threat. Ogarlok'tra had grown up like many of her clan and of all the Orcs, with a distant adoration of Ner'zhul's connection to the spirits. So when he called for attack on the Draenei, she was one of many to unflinchingly follow his call to battle. She would consume the Blood of Mannoroth, her skin and eyes turning shades of green, and under its effects she took part in the slaughter of the Draenei. Returning from one such onslaught, her mother gazed upon the very vision she saw when her daughter was born, and having failed to prevent it she ran away, never to be heard from again.

She would remain on Draenor during the First and Second Wars, but this would change when Ner'zhul sought artifacts to open portals to other worlds. Eager to assist, she donned a skull mask to match Ner'zhul's recently painted face and traveled with one of the many raiding parties to Azeroth. But once she got there, she was struck with wanderlust, separating from her group. She was found by a scouting party of Humans and captured after a tussle, being thrown into Lordamere Internment Camp. She was rowdy and rage-filled, chained up to prevent her from harming anyone. Over time, the bloodlust in her gradually weakened, until she had fallen into lethargy as the rest of her ilk had. It was in this period of calm that she began to think clearer about the path of rage he had undertaken. She realized that her party was not coming for her, and she resigned herself to life under the watch of the Humans, eventually rejoining the rest of the Orcs in the camp.

Months turned to years, until her world would shake up with the arrival of Thrall and the new Horde. Seeing her people reinvigorated, she took up arms in the hopes of proving herself as a champion of her people. She donned the skull mask she had arrived on Azeroth with to hide her age, and took to battle to free the remaining camps with the rest of the Orc forces. During the voyage to Kalimdor, she noticed the new generation of Shaman amongst them, and aspired to one day hear the call of the spirits again.

On Kalimdor, she fought valiantly, helping the Orc forces on Hyjal. It was during this battle that she could first feel the influence of the spirits, as the wind helped guide her weapons to ring true. At the close of the Third War, she went to the newly founded city of Orgrimmar, becoming a regular participant in the Ring of Valor and schooling some of the younger Orcs in combat. Though many eventually recognized her as an elder, she continued to wear her mask to intimidate opponents, and as a reminder of her darker past. She wishes to one day return home, and help repair the damage her people helped cause there.
